Vampire or Demon?

Who’s the hotter hero hunk in paranormal fiction?

draculaA vampire?

or

man-with-horns

A demon?

They are both the tortured bad boys…I can’t decide. What do you think?

Oh…and I’m blogging over a Romance Bandits today!

Vampire. The whole horns-on-head bit just isn’t for me. :)

Demon. I just don’t get the aura of the vampire lover thing. Don’t they start to rot eventually? And blood breath? Uck. I’ll take sulfer and brimstone, thank you very much.

    Black Dagger Brotherhood? Anyone?
    Vampires. Definitely. ;)

Sarita, I can see where the horns might be a little off putting, LOL!

Margaret, good point! I am always amazed how I can get so drawn into the fantasy that I don’t even think about things like…blood breath.

Erika, oh yeah! My favorite is still the first one DARK LOVER.

    VAMPIRE!
I love the scene in “Dracula” where Gary Oldman is in bed with Winona Ryder and she sucks blood from his chest. “Take me away from all this death”
Looks like a smashing good time!

Jen – My favorite is the 2nd one Lover Eternal. It’s a terrible thing to fall in love with a fictional character. *sigh* I’d fight Mary for Rhage any day! ;)

Mel, isn’t that every woman’s dream of a good time? Or is it just us twisted women :-)

Erika, that one is my second favorite! But now I’m blanking on my vamps name from the first book! I can see him, just can’t think of his name.

    Must be time for appletinis!

I will have to go with a Vamp myself. I am not much on the horns myself. Vamp are always so sexy in the books.

    Sign me up for appletinis!

Wrath is your vamp, The Blind King… I need to get out more…

Quilt Lady, I thought so too and then I read Kresley Cole’s KISS OF THE DEMON KING. There’s a demon I could cozy up to!

Erika (pause while I thunk my head on the desk) YES! WRATH! Love him and yet I can’t remember his name!

I hope Wrath forgives me :-) Thanks Erika!

What? Nothing furry? Well, I guess demons can be half furry. And I still like the idea of being able to…you know…steer. ;)

Am I a wienie to admit I’ve never read the Brotherhood? I suppose I should add it to the list.

Vampires are okay, especially if you’re a night person.

I’m thinking I need an appletini or three before I can decide… Who’s pouring?

Silver, there you are! You know it’s not officially happy hour until you arrive! I’ll pour!

So you’re a werewolf girl? They are furry :-)

The Brotherhood is a specific taste–try DARK LOVER and see if you like it. Wish I had my copy, I’d send it to you, but I’ve loaned it out and lost track of it!

    Steering! As you would say–gigglesnort!

Sorry I was late for happy hour. Spent the day at the doctor’s with the DD and I’m slow to catch up on my social calendar. ;) Jen and Erika, ya’ll are the best! I tapped the local library and conjured up a copy. I’ll check it out. It’s not like I don’t have anything to read. ROFLMAO! *tosses a spell at the TBR mountain to stave off the avalanche*

Oh yeah, the Brotherhood is awesome, Silver. I like the first one best. But I also loved the Demon Lover in Maureen’s MORE THAN FIENDS. He was HOT!!!!

On the other hand, I think I’ll hold out for a Wing-Slayer Hunter. I get to start reading Saturday!!!

Dang it, Kate. Another book I need to witch up. Ya’ll are just playin’ havoc with my TBR mountain. Wipe everything off your schedule for Saturday. I’m laying odds you won’t be able to put BLOOD MAGIC down!

Kate, oh yeah, I loved MORE THAN FIENDS! That demon lover is so hot!

Can’t wait to hear your opinion of the Wing Slayer Hunters!

Silver, those TBR piles can be dangerous, LOL! But MORE THAN FIENDS (by Maureen Child) really rocks. Just saying…

MORE THAN FIENDS is dutifully added to the BI (Buy Immediately) list.

The DD needs another round of eye surgery. We’ve had to cancel the plastic surgery on her lid scheduled for spring break to deal with the retinal surgery now planned at some point this month. We’ve been dealing with this since her wreck four years ago. This will be number…four, with the eventual plastic surgery to repair the lid (stretched out from all the other surgeries) being the last one.

And yeah, I’m eying that mountain and figuring I might need to dig out my rappelling gear. It won’t be safe to scale without safety gear. ;)

Silver, I didn’t realize she had lingering problems from the accident–so sorry! But all will be well when the surgeries are finished? I hope so! Poor girl!
