Monday Again!

gerard_butler_02

I can’t believe it’s Monday again! So this weekend we saw THE UGLY TRUTH.  I liked it! And not just because Gerald Butler was in it :-) It’s definitely low brow humor, but the remote control scene had me laughing.  If you don’t know what it is, I’m not explaining it!

I finished reading a book that I started off hating. At the half way point I started liking it. Very weird.  Sometimes, it’s worth hanging in there. Now I’ve started the second Harry Dresden book FULL MOON by Jim Butcher.

This really isn’t the best pic, but let’s vote.  Do we like Gerald Butler? Oh, and how was your weekend?

I don’t know much about him as an actor, but from the picture I’d say he’s attractive. Not gorgeous, but he looks like he has that unspecifiable quality that would make me want to buy him a drink. (If I still drank and wasn’t married, mind you.) ;o)

I was a total slug this weekend. I didn’t write, didn’t read, and didn’t exercise – so I’m feeling guilty this morning. Ugh.

I love Gerard Butler. He can be quirky and funny or dark and brooding and makes for a really nice alpha hero. My weekend was filled with house stuff. We got the new shelves installed in what was once the dining room and all the dining room furniture moved to what was once the “formal” living area. Eventually, my office will go into the “library” space we’re creating. I’m excited!

I took an RWA break from writing. Once I get back from applying for my passport today, I’m back at work on the completed MS for one last polishing before I start querying agents with it. Happy Monday, witches!

yes, he is very handsome ! like B.E. said ‘not gorgeous’ but very handsome. I wouldn’t turn my nose up at him :)
this is the last day of our second vacation. we’re up here with friends & I’m a bit sad but we had good weather this time and the girls actually got to go swimming. (it’d have to be 90 to get me in the water) went to the waterfall, Hoss’s country store, out on the lake in the pontoon boat … good times !

I love Grerard Butler. I haven’t seen The Ugly Truth yet, but I definitely want to see it.

I went with my mom and some cousins to my cousin’s cottage for a girl’s weekend. We grilled steaks for dinner and had hot fudge brownie sundaes for dessert. We took a ride around the lake and stayed up playing games. A good time was had by all :) Of course, I needed a nap when I came home cuz we stayed up too late and got up too early.

B.E., you know, you could go buy him a drink and report back to us. It’d be for reserach purposes only, of course :-)

A slug-weekend is good for us sometimes! Stop feeling guilty, you deserve time off too.

Silver, my formal dining room is my office too. It’s so convenient. Sounds like you were busy this weekend with all the moving.

Passport–going someplace? I need to get a passport. I’ve been saying that for two years.

Ban, yeah, I think he’s a bit too rugged for gorgeous, but that’s how I like them!

Your vacation sounds wonderful! I’m jealous! However, I did spend much of yesterday in my pool so I can’t really complain, I guess. We have about two summer months where the water is warm and perfect!

Dawn, you just had to mention those brownies again, didn’t you? I feel my fat cells multiplying!

Your girl’s weekend sounds like a blast!

Yes, Jen, I had to mention those brownies again. It’s all part of my evil plan :) It needs work, BTW. I have to find a way to make it work on my sister. She’s 5’3″ and a size 0, the litte b**ch. I can’t figure out how she stays that way. She likes her sweets as much as I do.

I have to agree about the rugged look. I’ll take a nice rugged looking man over a pretty boy any day :D

LG and I are going on an 11-day cruise next January/February. I’ll be out of internet range for the cruise part of the trip, and limited on the 4 days drive to Miami and back. :( I’m not sure I’ll survive it. I am taking the laptop in hopes of getting some writing done. Maybe. Or not. :D

Count me in the ruggedly handsome club!

Dawn, your sister sounds way too cute! Do you need help with the spell to fatten her up?

Kira I am missing out! I had to work, now I’m leaving and my not get to your blog until tomorrow. I’m not even sure when I’ll get tomorrow’s blog up. But I do want to read about your weekend.

Plus my internet service has been spotty today–which is good for writing :-)
