Trolls…

My troll story for the week…

Trolls don't feedEvery couple months we get this yellow bag in the mail with a pick-up date. It’s for charity. We  put the items we no longer want in the bag, and set it in front. The truck comes by, picks it up and leaves us a receipt. It’s worked great for years.

On Monday the Wizard was home.  We both decided to give away the “good” stuff that we’d been saving. Okay, fine, for me I’m talking about expensive skirts and blouses that will never fit me again.

Ever.  And must you rub in it?

Sorry personal moment there :-)

So we fill the bag with some nice clothes.  The wizard takes it out and puts it on the driveway. Not the curb, not the street, but our driveway. We both go about our days. A couple hours later, the wizard hears a car door and goes to the front window.

Two people in a car stopped, grabbed the bag and threw it in the car then raced off. NOT THE  CLEARLY MARKED CHARITY TRUCK.

That’s right, these two drove around and stole the stuff off every one’s driveway.  I’m guessing they wanted to have a TROLL garage sale.

That’s my troll story this week. What’s yours?

I have troll moments every day. Usually the same type of troll moments every day. We have special shipment which come to our facility needing special customs attention. The origin station is supposed to send us alerts through one of our computer programs letting us know what they’re sending and what attention the shipment(s) need(s). These shipments also need to be labeled a certain way so that they come to the customs area rather than go directly to where they load the freight to the final destination. Every day we get shipments labeled correctly, not alerted and without the correct paperwork. Every day, we have to send messages letting various stations know the proper procedure for these shipments and/or that they need to correct something before their shipment can be cleared by customs. Every. Day. Why can’t people just learn to do their damn jobs correctly? Today, we had three shipments labeled incorrectly and another that was unalerted and had the wrong paperwork. Some days I just really hate people.

Okay, done whining now. I think it’s Appletini time. *Mixes and pours* Cheers! :D

That was so uncharitable of them.

Well, that just sucks. Did you call the police? Sure, it was stuff you were getting rid of, but it was still your stuff. :fume:

The only trolls I can think of right now are the juvenile deliquents who think they can vandalize anything around town that isn’t nailed down. Ummm, when did it become fun to trash someone else’s property? If it doesn’t belong to you, don’t touch it. Seriously. =o/

My troll day was the lady with the fresh French silk nails manicure, the high-end outfit, and shopping for all the hors d’oeuvres (she called them such as she chatted with her BFF via her iPhone). Did I mention the diamond tennis bracelet and the Rolex watch?

I have no problem with any of this, actually. Until she ends up in front of me at the check out. WHERE SHE PAYS WITH FREAKIN’ FOOD STAMPS!!!!!

If I weren’t a good witch, I would have cursed her Mercedes SUV. Just sayin’! Dawn, I’m mixin’ the next batch, girl!

Oh wow… after reading Jen’s story… then Dawn’s… then BE’s… then Silver!!! OMG!!
For Jen… I hope that those people have bed bugs that bite the crap out of them for at least *ATLEAST* two weeks!
For Dawn… I wave my wand and cast a spell over workers all over… You get paid to do a job… do your damn job! Or quit! But pick one!!
For BE… Those kids will be adults one day… and there will be kids like them… **oh wait.. this is better** they will have kids like themselves one day!!!
For Silver… May the nails fall off, may the clothes fall apart in the most inappropriate time, may the food taste like crap and every one gets sick. May her wrist turn greenish black from the gold and her Rolex stop working just cuzz! And my the suv… get flats… on all 4 tires…hell even the spare!!!
Okay.. Pour me a tall glass after all that spellcasting… I am wiped out!!!

    People are…in a word–selfish idiots. (present company excluded :P )

I generally don’t like people because of this very reason. No common sense, courtesy or, at times, brains. I have learned through extensive research (LOL) most writers and people who read a lot are not like this. In other words, the more intelligent folk. They care about others and the world around them.

The one thing I do know, what goes around will, one day, come back and bite them in the ass. :D

Dawn, I hear you! And you know the answer to why people can’t do their jobs correctly–because no one makes them. It’s insane and puts more burden on the people who WILL do their jobs correctly.

So sorry! You need a cauldron full of appletinis!

Dru, it was, wasn’t it? It really irritated me.

B.E., it didn’t even occur to me at the time to call the police. They would have had to get here pretty quick to find them. I’m just going to assume Karma will kick in.

Yeah, teenagers–they are wonderful and awful. And, umm, sometimes parents aren’t paying attention (but that’s not always the case).

Silver, oh yeah! I don’t mind people who have nice things, OR people who need help. But abusing the system makes my broom smoke. It makes me think of non-handicap people parking in handicap spaces.

Cecile, you’ve been a busy, productive witch this morning! Good job! The bedbugs is a great revenge, but my fave are the kids growing up and having kids just like them!

I once called my mom to tell her something my four and two year old did–she laughed and said I got what I deserved :-)

Kira, LOLOL! It’s ironic that we’re surprised when people DO their jobs or are polite and helpful. I try to go out of my way to thank people who do that. It’s just such relief.

Sadly, there are a lot of idiots out there. It’s not against the law to be stupid or annoying :-)

It should be though. But then, over half the population would be in jail. Hrmm…that’s a great thought. :D

Ah, the Mother’s Curse! I’ve been so good…though my tongue remains constantly bloody from biting it. I haven’t passed it on to The Only yet! My mother and Lawyer Guy’s mother both cursed us! “May you have a child just like you!” Uhm…yeah buddy. The Only got it with both barrels and in spades.

I would ask if you were kidding, but I’m sure you’re not.

Things like this happen and I say “people suck” and I’m called negative. Negative! Can you even believe it????

People steal, con and shake babies. They stink. (Present company excluded of course) We should turn them all into toads!

    Appletini please *holds out glass*

Yes, what comes around, goes around!!!
    Pass the appletini this way!!!!

Erika, we need more appletinis! Let’s shake and pour! Because you’re telling the truth, so let’s make it go down easier.

But on the upside, you guys all rock!

Cecile, thanks for the spell, but I don’t think it’s gonna work. I’ve been casting away here and it hasn’t done a bit of good. People are just morons.

Ahhh, the classic parental curse. Gotta love it. I don’t have kids so I’ve managed to avoid that one, much to the parents dismay :)

Jen, I’m a firm believer in the “what goes around, comes around” rule. I bet these people come back in their next lives as slugs. Now wouldn’t that be a fitting punishment :D

That is a sad commentary on the human condition. Sad, stealing from charity.
