Bailey TRIES to Teach Wizard To Play

Headshot_007Bailey has a new goal…Teach the Wizard how to Play.

I may have mentioned this before–Wizard is not a Dog Lover. Wizard understand all things numerical (he’s an accounting wizard) and all things magical.

He does not understand dogs.

Bailey bounds over to Wizard with his new toy.

Wizard tries to pat Bailey’s head.

Bailey tries to shove his toy in Wizard’s hand.

Wizard recoils. “Stop that. Hold still so I can pet you.” He says this like the dog should understand.

Bailey quickly translates this into his native dog language and realizes Wizard must not  SEE the AWESOME TOY in his mouth. With his incredible problem solving skills, he squeaks his toy so Wizard will hear it and grasp how super cool is it to play tug of war.

Wizard looks at me with a helplessly confused expression. “Why is he doing that?”

I answer,  “He wants to play tug of war with you.”

Wizard shudders.  He managed to pet Bailey’s head while Bailey is aggressively squeaking the toy. Then he walks away.

Bailey trots over to me. He knows witches are smart and know how to play

This story has no point except that Wizard was tormenting me tonight with comments like. “Don’t you wish Bailey was here?”

Sometimes, Wizards are annoying :-)

Hey Jen! Yea, I am not sure Wizards are that bright, lmao!!! My Wizard doesn’t get it either. He knows to pet the dogs (we have two) and show attention… but I have tell Wizard – the baby wants to play with you.. hello.. hence the rope in his mouth… Duh! Wizards, lol!!!!

Well, I think I was successful in bringing the WS back into the lair last night with my bag of tricks from Victoria Secret!! Hee hee!!!!
Hope all is going well my dear friend…
And if you want a fun read for the day… it is not long, I wrote about what happened at a park one magical day… heee hee!!!

I’ll have to get my wizard to explain it to yours in man talk :) . He is really great with animals, even my cats, though he says he doesn’t like cats. He would like a dog but neither one of us has the time to properly train it, and it would have to be a special dog that gets on with cats.

Still very busy and looks like it is going to stay that way for awhile. Haven’t had much time to play with GS, will need to take care of that later today.

LOL Jen! At least the Wizard is good with numbers. That’s important. Not to Bailey, of course, but it’s important. Really. ;-)

Have a fun day, everyone. Stay warm!

Val, that’s what he needs, man-talk!!! ROTFL!!

Boy you are so right about the time it takes with an animal–a dog needs a lot of attention. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t tried harder to talk Wizard into getting a dog.

So nice of you to set aside time for GS…snerk!

    Margaret, too true :-)

I’m also kind of hoping Wizard is too busy to read the blog!

Kate, do you think I should send Bailey to work with Wizard so he can learn the importance of numbers?

I’m trying to stay warm, hope you are too!

Kira, it was probably a lot funnier watching it. Bailey was trying so hard and Wizard just wanted to pet his head. Serious miscommunication!

I’m warmer now than when I was out grocery shopping! My hands were so cold I was dropping stuff and everyone thought I was a doofus. Sigh.

I definitely think the Wiz needs to take Bailey to work and teach him to add and subtract and such like that there!

Lawyer Guy claims to hate cats but I’ll catch him petting the lolcat when she snuggles up to him. She does that whole *cat thing* of acting superior and then sneaking up on him. The boys? They’re just big and goofy and when they bring you a toy, you KNOW you’ve been toyed!

I have to get out to WallyWorld. Brrrrrr!

Oh thank goodness I thought it was just my mate who didn’t understand animals. Our poor dogs look at him like he is missing some screws…..

Silver, I think I’d pay money to see Bailey at work with Wizard :-)

Your dogs make me sooo jealous!

    Hope you survived Wallyworld!
