The Speech Witch

Jen_-_workshop_004 Guess who? This is me giving the dreaded speech on world-building.  It was pouring rain that day, but people braved the wet roads and showed up. Amazing!

And now it’s over!

Kate Carlisle was taking the pictures but she was so far to my left it was hard for her to get a good shot.

Of course, my friends said I did well and that’s why they are my friends :-) I’m very sure I could have done better.

Want to see me BEFORE I went on stage? I was trying to focus and mentally prepare and while Kate was tormenting me with the camera…

Jen_-_workshop_002

Jen the Witch, right???? But in my defense Kate was sitting there aiming the camera and WAITING for the chance to show me at my witchy best!

She got it, LOLOL!

On the other hand, Kate and Maureen Child both braved the rains to come out and support me.  And more friends helped me prepare the speech including Marianne Donley and Laura Wright.  Thanks guys!

Okay that was my weekend, how was yours?

Sounds like it went very well.

My weekend was good. I’m almost finished with the quilt that I’m working on and can’t wait to see the finished project.

Went to my last power-walking class of the year and enjoyed the rest of the weekend reading and watching Christmas movies.

    Have a great Monday.

I am glad it went well for you, knew you would do fine.

Saturday was Christmas shopping and a company Christmas dinner, Sunday was work and cleaning. Busy, but not quite as hectic as the last couple weekends, so why do I still feel so dang tired? Oh well, not much longer and I will have a few days to kick back.

Trying desperately to finish Rachel Vincent’s latest, but not getting far fast.

Must remember not to wait to the last minute to do Christmas shopping.

    Have a good day.

I bet it was an awesome workshop, Jen. If I didn’t live so far away, I would have come. :)

My weekend was great! We had a chapter Christmas party then I went to some friends booksigning. AND finally figured out what to get the DH. Pheww! He is so hard to buy for!

Val, I think we’re all doomed to be tired until New Years. But I hope you are getting some rest!

Alicia, no kidding on the driving! There was a really bad accident on Saturday coming home. I hated seeing that.

I always shop between Thanksgiving and Christmas and it’s never going to change. I have no idea how to figure out what someone wants for Christmas in August!

I bet you gave an awesome speech, Jen. I wish I could’ve been there.

Now that cookie-stravaganza is over, I spent the weekend decompressing and trying to get back into the writing groove. Not the easiest thing in the world, but I think I figured out why. I don’t want to go back and work on an older project. I want to edit my NaNo book. So that’s what I’m doing.

:whipcrack: Sorry, that’s my muse telling me break time’s over. See ya tomorrow.

*drags her sorry @$$ into the lair and flops* It was Monday. All day. Weekend? I think I had one. I did get another string of lights up. Lawyer Guy and I managed some Christmas shopping. Today was a marathon. But I have stuffs for stockings and stuffs for baking and….a couple of presents. Now, all I need is my cactus tree. To put presents under. If and when I get them wrapped. LOL!

I hope everyone had a great week!
