Another Monday!

witch Monday Happy Monday!

Okay, I’m just kidding. How about this, Tolerable Monday!

I’m sure you guys have noticed that I’m answering blogs later in the day.  Most early mornings, I’m either going to the gym, or doing random stuff before getting to blogs and email.

For the record, going to the gym ONLY works off stress, not pounds or fat. I want to look like this witch, but sadly, it’s not happening.

Over the weekend, I read Nalini Singh’s ARCHANGEL’S KISS.   I really liked the book and so far, the series.  I love that that Elana has fallen in love with  Raphael, but she is still learning him.  He is not human, but a being so very different that it’s terrifying.  I love the lethal danger of Raphael, the true cruelty that Elan’s human heart sees in him, yet in Raphael’s world, it’s justice.

I just started Kate Carlisle’s IF BOOKS COULD KILL.  I was hooked from page one! Hoping to get more time to read soon!

I worked on some on Key’s book. Still trying to get a grasp on that.  It’s amazing how I see it in my head, but getting it on paper is a while different matter. Slow and Painful.

How was your weekend?

My weekend was good. We’ve been enjoying an early spring this weekend and I took a nice stroll on the boardwalk.

Weekend was good, Friday night daughter and I went to a jewlery party where she conned a ring and an ankle braclet out of me, lol. Saturday was family breakfast day and then just lazing around the house. Sunday went with hubby to mother in laws so he could fix her computer. Working on reading Carla Neggars “The Mist”, almost done with that, not sure what I will be reading next. Way to many books on my TBR pile, lol.

As long as you’re working off stress, you’re accomplishing something. =o) And from the sounds of it, Key’s book is giving you something to work off. Hang in there.

Not a hugely productive weekend on this end. I did get some chapters edited, but for the most part, I just hung out. I started three books I couldn’t get into, so I put them back on the shelf and went with an old standby – Phyllis Whitney. I try to re-read at last one of her novels every year.

Hey honey!! IT was a beautiful weekend!!!! Saturday after work (till 12) I went home and paid bills, oh yay! Then after bills were paid, daughter was at the movies with friends and hubby was working till about 7… I went to Borders!!! And then I went grocery shopping to get that out the way. And Sunday, I thought would be my day to knock out a whole lot… Well, I woke with a headache the size of Texas and it did not go away till 3 that afternoon. So, I was on the couch the whole time. At least I got some computer time down. Then I started to not feel really good… so I just stayed on the couch… Still kinda do not feel right… but oh well… Gotta work!!

Okay, enough of that… Sneaky shoes on… wand in one hand… appletinis in the other… Off to the lair… You know… To have a talken to Key, Yea, that is what I am going do!! hee hee

I’m still fighting the lung crud from Hades. The weather was warm, though it’s raining today. I managed to get almost 8000 words (mostly new!) on the rewrite of SEASON OF THE WITCH, plus knocking out in advance some guest blogs for April for when FATE releases.

I’m coffee deprived at the moment and once the new pot perks, I’m going heads down on rewrites.

Hang in there. Key will cooperate sooner or later. (Or you can threaten to take away his inks!)

Monday. All day. *sigh* Is it noon somewhere in the world? Surely there’s an appletini with my name on it…

Val, buying your daughter jewelry was a given if you went to the party together! I hear great things about Carla Neggars, I have to try her books.

B.E. this is normal for me on beginning a book. There’s just so much to figure out.

I hate that when I pick up several books and can’t get into them. I always wonder if it’s just me, or rotten luck. Gosh, I haven’t read Phillis A Whitney in years and years!

Getting chapters edited is progress :-)

Oh Cecile, it sounds like you have a bug. You should be home resting, not working or hanging out in the lair! I really hope you feel better!

Silver you got that much work done while sick??? Color me impressed! But you’re taking care of yourself, right?

Key’s okay, it’s Roxie (heroine) who I can’t quite figure out. Of course, maybe if I quit doing mean her, she’d cooperate a bit more.

My mom buys Carla Neggars and then gives them to me. They are pretty good, but not something I would buy with my own money. Have to many favorite authors I purchase already, and my tastes run more toward the paranormal and fantasy.

Yeah, your right, knew daughter would want jewelry but only planned on getting her one thing and me one thing, but they had a special where if you buy 3 pieces the most expensive was half price so she found a second item that would only make me spend an extra dollar. At least one of kids learned about bargain shopping from me. Boys just don’t get it, lol.

Roxie is causing problems? Well…in that case, threaten her with more dire doings until she cooperates. She’ll never get her HEA until she does!

Tell them characters to cooperate. I want to read them!!!!!

I had a wonderful weekend. The weather was beautiful, but like Silver said, it’s raining now.

I spent today with Margaret Golla, catching up and talking books. She’s the one who encouraged me to write ROUGH EDGES…the one I sold to Ellora’s cave. :D

I just read Brenda Joyce DARK EMBRACE and it was really good. Just one problem…it’s book 3 or 4 in a series. *sighs* Why do I always buy a book in the middle of the series? Now, I have to buy the others!! Hrm…I could buy them on my NOOK while lying in bed tonight. heheh
