Ashlynn’s Book and Random Stuff

Today we were going to have our very own Ashlynn Pearce guest blog but she’s unable to make it.  I’d really like you all to keep Ashlynn in your thoughts right now. She’s going through a tough struggle, and when she’s recovered, she’ll tell you all if she wishes. But let’s remember her.

And you could always buy her book here ! It’s just been released from Ellora’s Cave

Ashylynn rough-edges-cover1

Jake Korte is emotionally broken. Angry. Hurt. Worthless. Fearing that he will become the abuser his father was, the last thing he needs is a woman in his life. He feels like a virtual time bomb just waiting for the internal explosion. So when tiny Rebecca Saylor “chats” her way into his life and then crawls under his skin, panic descends. He can’t seem to stay away, but is terrified to be with her.

After surviving an abusive marriage, Becca isn’t looking for love, only safety. But through her research for her column “Chat Addiction”, she meets Jake, who is anything but safe. He’s the one man who can make her feel alive again. But can she overcome her own fears to claw her way into the heart of a man so fractured?

I am going to order my copy!

In other news,  I’m very slow to answer comments and I apologize. I hope you all know how much I appreciate you guys! You all make me laugh at your comments!

And lastly, did you all see that the Gaylord Hotel in Tennessee has severe flooding that may impact that RWA National Conference? I don’t know what’s going to happen.  I just hope everyone in Tennessee is okay!

I’m going over to her site and check out her book.

I heard about that flooding in Tennessee. Nature has not been kind to us this year.

I have seen pictures of the flooding, its just horrible. I have a few friends in Tenn and one of them is a victim of the flooding in Nashville, so sad.
They can always move RWA to the Gaylord here in Dallas. I wouldn’t mind but I hope they get it cleaned up in Nashville.
The book looks interesting, will definitely have to check it out.

My prayers go out to all… Ashlynn… You Jenn.. and those peeps in Tenn. And Dru is right… Nature has not been kind to us in the least this year.
Jen, girl that is what friends are for!!! To be here for each other. If we were only here when it was good.. then we would not be true friends!!! Women are like glue.. we stick together when everything falls apart!!!! Hugs to you!!!

And I will spread the cheer for Ashlynn’s book. I had the chance to do a quick interview with her last week (Jen, I hope you don’t mind) if you want to wonder over to my place. There is even a chance to win a bookmark (that is right have in your very own hands… who does not want to hold that cover…)!!! She is an awesome woman!!!! Here is the link!!! http://alliwantandmore.blogspot.com/2010/04/please-welcome-ms-ashlynn-pearce-little.html

Sending positive thoughts for Ashlynn. I hope everything’s okay.

Ack, I saw all the flooding but I didn’t even think about the RWA. Fingers crossed that this doesn’t screw things up for the people attending.

Phone calls are flying among the RWA board members. If they move it to another Gaylord property, I’d love if they’d move it to Dallas. That’s an even closer drive for me! Orlando? Not so much. :( OOH! Or the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs! That would ROCK! (I honeymooned there. :D )

Uhm…what was the subject? Oh, yes. Ash is in my prayers and here’s hoping for good news soon. Jen, I know where your head is–right where it needs to be! You’ll get there. I’ve got my pompoms out and cheering you to the finish line.

Amanda, I heard this morning that it’s just really bad there in Tenn. I really feel for them.

For me, I’m just disappointed and this is what I get for making my flight so early. If they won’t let me change (it’s non refundable) I’ll just have to cancel the trip. But that’s a small thing compared to everyone in the path of nature’s fury.

Cecile, thank you! Both for being so nice to me, and for posting the link to your interview with Ashlynn. And you know I never mind. I should have posted the link to yours and Silver’s guest blog with her too.

I know you’re crazy busy too!

B.E., I know Ashylynn appreciates it!

Things are a mess for RWA right now. Theyare struggling to cope. I do wish they’d lose the attitude though… I know I shouldn’t say this in public, but come on. Gaylord has serious problems, and have more than RWA to deal with. This was an unfortunate act of nature. Okay, I’ll stop.

    Silver, how’s the burn?

Yeah, RWA is scrambling and trying. It’s all they can do. But I know you’re going to kill me if I end up not going…

Girl, I know you have more on your plate than you lead us to believe… so I do not mind pitching in when I can. I just do not want to over step my boundaries…
    Hugs hon!

Cecile, I appreciate you pitching in! And never worry about promoting other authors, blogs or whatever. That’s what makes it fun! I learn so much from you all!

Things will calm down in my life in a few weeks.
