Whatcha Reading?

From recommendations on my Facebook page, I went out and bought SIN UNDONE by Larissa Ione.

I loved it. My favorite scene is when Con shows Sin what real lovemaking is. That scene is so perfect, revealing the difference between sex and making love with some measure of caring.

Ione does an incredible job of stripping back the emotional layers of her characters until the are completely vulnerable and exposed–then putting them in situations that demand an impossible choice.

Right now, I’m reading WICKED BECOMES YOU by Meredith Duran.

What about you all? What are your reading? What’s your favorite scene?

I agree Sin Undone was excellent, and you picked the perfect scene. There is a difference between sex and making love, and that emotional connection just makes it so much better.

I recently read G A Aiken (Shelley Laurenston) – Last Dragon Standing. I just needed a laugh and her books ALWAYS provide me with that. I’m not real good at picking favorite scenes, but enjoyed how the arrogant, serious and in control male dragon was was brought down by the irreverent and sassy female dragon. So many people get so wrapped up in life that they forget to have fun and enjoy the ride, for me at least it is good to be reminded of that sometimes.

Some other recent reads were Nancy Gideon – Chased By Moonlight, Kresley Cole – Demon From The Dark and Sherrilyn Kenyon – No Mercy.

Loved Sin Undone too. I wish the series would just go on and on and on.

Right now I am reading Warrior Avenged by Addison Fox, I don’t have a favorite scene from it yet because I am just now getting into the book.

I happen to be reading this book called FAERIE FIRE. *gigglesnort* I got my author copies yesterday (FINALLY!) and I couldn’t resist. I’m about half-way through and surprisingly, I haven’t found anything I would change. Yet. LOL! Favorite scene? A professor is telling an Irish tale and the H/H (Moira and Duncan) realize the story is about them–in a former life.

I’m also reading THE BEAST WITHIN. LOVED the novella about a wizard and a young lady with no magic but a certain award-winning writer named Jennifer Lyon. If y’all haven’t read her, why not?!? She writes much awesomeness! I need to go back and finish the first two novellas in the anthology now. I had to skip to the end to read the best. :D

Val, I really loved that scene. It was about more than sex (as all sex scenes should be), it was about discovering each other.

Shelly’s writing as GA Aiken? Holy Magic Cauldrons I need to keep up! And dragons…YUM!

Amanda, me too! I’m late to the series and still catching up but I don’t want it to end! I love the whole hospital/paramedic setting.

Love the title WARRIOR AVENGED! That would catch my attention.

I’m taking a break and reading a cute MG novel – Science Fair by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. =o) I don’t have a favorite scene so far. It’s just brain candy to get my mind off my work.

Jen, I agree. That was a great scene in SIN UNDONE. She writes amazing books and they usually make me cry at some point.

I’m currently reading Addison Fox WARRIOR AVENGED as well. I’m a little more than half way through it and don’t have a favorite part. I can rarely pick a favorite part of any book. I read NO MERCY on Saturday. Sherri did an amazing job with this book, as usual. The characters are fun and lovable. I can’t wait for her next book.

Silver, I’ve read both of those and loved them.
