Monday Roundup!

I sent off my synopsis for a new Wing Slayer Hunter book to my agent on Friday,  so this weekend I was free of work. Well not free, I had “other” work but it was all easy enough. And I finally had time to read FAERIE FIRE by Silver James! This book surprised me. I was expecting more of a romance like the first book  FAERIE FATE, but this book was more of a suspense, I think. Always nice to be surprised!  Duncan and Moira must battle against both fate and terrorists to win a timeless love.  If you haven’t read it, you’re missing out!

I just started ETERNAL KISS OF DARKNESS by JEANIENE FROST.  I haven’t gotten very far, but as usual, she sucks me in from the very first page!

And just a reminder, tomorrow (October fifth) is the release date for the first book in an awesome new series ETERNAL HUNGER by Laura Wright. I’ve read portions of this book as she was writing it (Laura and I are critique partners) and I’m predicting this series is going to be a huge hit! I have been amazed at the evolution of the world she has built,  along with her fully developed, hot, sexy, and emotional characters!  I can’t wait to buy my copy and read it now that it’s all come together in the final polished product!

Tune in tomorrow for an episode of Lunch with Biker Witch.

How was your weekend?

Crap. How did I miss that Mencheres book is out?? :headthump: And I just did the big book buy thing last Thursday. Oh well. I need to place an Amazon order soon anyway – you know, to get the things I couldn’t buy at Borders. (Like Silver’s book.)

My weekend? Michigan won, and MSU beat #11 Wisconsin, so it’s all good. I got some final polishing done on my WIP. Soon it will be ready to query. I also read a lot. I inhaled Seanan McGuire’s An Artificial Night, and then sucked down Rachel Vincent’s last werecat book Alpha. Now I’m reading Laura Bickle’s Sparks.

B.E., I’m a bit more than half way through it–go get it! I love the way Frost keeps upping the stakes. She’s amazing!

Do you have a plan where you plan to query? It’s been a while since I’ve done that, but if there’s anyway I can help, let me know.

    Glad your team won!

Awwwww. *blush* I’m so glad you liked FAERIE FIRE. See why SOTW is going thriller/crime instead of straight romance?

FYI, NRCA is open for entries. HINT! HINT! (Glad to see you finally switched over to the winner’s button! :D )

Weekend…OSU (Oklahoma State) beat Texas A&M. OU beat Texas. It’s been a happy sports week in my house. The weather is downright autumnish, which makes me a happy camper! I finally cleared off BOTH the kitchen and dining room tables so I’m slowly getting a grip on my clutter and chaos. Still need to work on my office. Some day.

    Have a great week!

Silver, I was thinking exactly that! You really do want to go more toward suspense! The book was a great read :-)

I only have the antho out this year. Next year for sure!

Yay for your team! And for mastering the clutter! I am sooo ready for autumn weather!

Thanks, Jen. I do have a plan of sorts. I’ve even got a database – although it needs major updating since I haven’t queried anything in over a year. Ugh. First I’ll send to the one agent who asked me to query my next project, and then agents who already rep similar projects. Then I’m hitting the net (AgentQuery.com and researching the ones who look promising). Keep your fingers crossed for me. =o)

B.E., okay good! You already have an agent with an interest! I will absolutely keep my fingers cross, and you’ll let me know if there’s anything I can do :-)
