Giving Away 2 Copies of ETERNAL HUNGER!

I bought two copies of my friend and critique partner, Laura Wright’s book ETERNAL HUNGER. I had intended to keep one for myself and give one away here on the blog.

Last weekend, I saw Laura at our local RWA meeting, and was surprised and very touched that she gave me a copy of the book. So…I now have two copies of ETERNAL HUNGER to give away! And Laura graciously signed them!

This is Laura and me at the meeting.

She’s the cute on in the glasses!

All you have to do leave a comment telling me why you love vampires or paranormal books, and I’ll put you in the drawing. I’ll announce the two winners on Monday.

Good Luck!

It takes an amazing person to create a completely different world. I love the paranormal because it’s an escapre from reality. We all have activities that we do day in and day out. So it’s nice to live through someone else’s imagination.

I love paranormal romance books because I have always been fascinated with vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, gods, fey, etc. The paranormal worlds I dive into give me much needed breaks from everyday realities that are dull and annoying :D

I enjoy reading paranormal romance to get so many different takes on vampires, werewolves, and others that exist in some worlds but don’t in others. And romance because at the end of the day(book) the characters that you love are happy. :) Reading takes you away from everyday life for just a bit and it is wonderful.

How’s the toe? And I see two cute young’uns in that photo!

Wait? You mean there are books that aren’t paranormal? *bwahaha*

I’m worrking. Really. I had to surface for more coffee. I have 30 pages left to edit (which will likely be 40 by the time I’ve finished layering and fixing a glitch on how the heroine did something… ;) ). Back to work. Send cookies. And Wing Slayers!

Cassandra, yes! Getting away from the everyday details that drive us crazy is one of the reasons I read paranormal too!

I like paranormal books because they’re an escape from my normally humdrum life. I like reading about adventures and great loves. The worlds and the characters are so real that they just draw you in.

Silver, better, thanks! Still waiting to hear on the x-rays. I will summon Mean Jen to call them today.

We know we’re reading too many paranormals when we forget there are other genres, LOL!

Will you be finished today? I’ll send the cookies and Wing Slayers–but I can’t guarantee the cookies will get there. The Wing Slayers get hungry mid-flight :-)

I love paranoramals cause in them you can do anything fly, live forever, mate forever with no cheating. Heck anything is possible. This book sounds good too. But I am so waiting on your next book. Times needs to move faster.

I love paranormal romances because the men always seem HOT!! Once a book sets its hooks into me, I love the thrill of just being able to read & whisked away to another world of excitement, danger, and love.

I love to read about the paranormal world each author makes up (because no two are alike). The histories, the rules, the abilities – there have been books in which I didn’t particularly like the characters but I loved the world so I kept reading.

I love paranormal books because they feed my imagination. I think a world of witches, warlocks and vampires would be interesting beyond belief.

I’ve missed you my friends. One day life will return to normal and I can visit longer.

Jen, hope your toe is feeling better.

    Happy Friday Eve Witches!

I love PNR books because they allow me to make “me” time. I have 2 children and life gets hectic. I had major back surgery 3 years ago and spent over a year recuperating. That is when I started reading PNR and I have not stopped since. I am always looking for a good series to read and I would love to try this one.

I love vampires and paranormals because I like reading about things that take me out of reality. I like the mysticism and how a paranormal can be different based on the author’s story and perspective. Thanks for the giveaway.

Within the pages of a paranormal story, anything can happen and usually does. That’s why I m so fascinated with them.

Paranormal… why do I love thee? Ahem. Sorry. The short answer is escapism. The longer answer is paranormal novels take me away from the everyday and drop me into a strange world where vampires aren’t so scary, wizards solve crimes, and sexy men work with smart, sassy gals to protect the world from things that go bump in the night. =o)

Paranormal Romance: For the element of danger, suspense, intrigue and passion churned with the darkness, promise and cruelty of love. Whilst having dibs in paranormal concepts of course. A (good) PR that delivers all these things? I’m a sucker for that combination.

*Mutters.* And… only enter my if its international. ;)

I can’t say that I love paranormal books OR vampires, but I would like to love them, which I why I would like to have this copy of Laura’s book, because I like her and I think that I would love her book. Paranormal/fantasy or blood-sucking vampire novels are not what I typically read because it’s next to impossible to “sweep” me away into another world, being that I’m such a damned realist, but, the sorry truth is, I would LOVE to escape into another world. I would LOVE to be swept away by a sexy, hot blooded vampire (do they have hot blood? I don’t even know. Clearly, I’m missing out!) So for the sake of this contest, I’m going to say I love vampires because I love bats. They are amazing little creatures. Please give me this book.

When a friend introduced me to Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series I became obsessed with vampire reads! I’m always looking for new authors and series to read.
