Weekend Roundup!

It was a fairly quiet weekend, which was nice. I finally finished reading Lind Howard’s BURN.  Between being sick and the new puppy, it took well over a week to read the book. I thought it started slow but I liked it. Otherwise, I finished my revisions and will send them to my editor today.

We took Sadie for her second set of puppy shots.  She cried when she got the shot but was fine otherwise. Then my son and I gave her a both. The doc screamed and climbed into my shirt. It was half sad and half hilarious.  Poor baby. There was only an inch of water in the tub! I’m guessing she’s not going to be jumping into the pool anytime soon!

Here she is sleeping in her favorite spot under my desk.

See? A total baby.  I won’t talk about Sadie all the time, I swear!

How was your weekend?

You can talk about Sadie all you want. She’s a boo. =o)

My weekend was pretty good, even if I got way behind in my NaNo words. I’m still getting over this sinus thing, but I’m thinking semi-clearly again. My football team won. And, oh yeah, I got a partial request. ;o)

(I’m jumping around and squeeing on the inside.)

Congrats on the partial, B.E.! I’m squeeing with you! (And crossing my fingers for you!)

Jen, Sadie is just the cutest thing ever! I’m so sorry you and the Wiz have been sick. I hope all are feeling better and that the new baby is happily snoozing under your desk. Boone would sleep under mine but there isn’t enough room! You talk about her all you want. We love puppy updates!

And congrats on finishing the revision and getting it back to Ms. Editor! The Only decided she wanted to start reading for fun again and immediately asked for BLOOD MAGIC and SOUL MAGIC. I hope I get them back! (Things tend to disappear once they enter The Black Hole (her room  ). They were extra copies so it’s okay. Sort of. :-?

Okay. Break time’s over. Back to the MS. Later, witches!

B.E. congrats on the partial request! That calls for hunks and appeltinis to celebrate! Yay!!! So excited for you!

Really sorry about the sinus crap. That can lay you out. Really hope you’re feeling better.

Silver, I have to laugh at the image of Boone trying to get under the desk! I have a huge cubby space and he wouldn’t fit there either!

Thanks on the revision! It was really pretty easy. Just one thing tripped me up, but the answer was startlingly obvious once I felt better. (Isn’t that always the way?)

Really hope The Only likes the books! And returns them from the black hole!

I have to agree with you on BURN. It was a little slow. Definitely not my favorite Howard book.

Congrats on the edits! I can’t wait for March and May to read more Wing Slayer books!!

I had a pretty relaxing weekend. I didn’t do much besides read. I finished Nalini Singh’s PLAY OF PASSION. Moved right into Nora Roberts HAPPY EVER AFTER, then Jessica Andersen’s BLOOD SPELLS. Now I’m reading EXTREMELY HOT by this author named Jennifer Apodaca. I don’t know if any of you have heard of her… I love it so far. And now I’m gonna go finish it.

    Happy Monday, witches!

I liked Burn. I thought it was a little slow to start, but I enjoyed it. Of course, I listened to it. Sometimes that makes a difference. Good reader.

This weekend I walked the American Cancer Society walk for Breast Cancer at Tempe Town Lake. My calves are still screaming about it. :-x

Sadie is precious. You can talk about her all you want!

She’s adorable and you can talk about Sadie as much as you want.

My weekend was good. Finished J.D. Robb’s latest book and finally finished my quilt.

Dawn, glad I’m not alone on the Howard book! She’s still on of my fave authors though :-)

You did a lot of reading this weekend! I’m jealous. Hope you enjoy EH all the way to the end!

Erika, you sacrificed your calves for a good cause!

I like BURN, but a bit slow. But I think some of it was just all the commotion in my life too.

Sadie’s precious and a full time job, LOL!

Dru, you did another quilt? Amazing! I’m always blown away by your talent since I have none myself.

    I always love JD Robb!
