It was a fairly quiet weekend, which was nice. I finally finished reading Lind Howard’s BURN.  Between being sick and the new puppy, it took well over a week to read the book. I thought it started slow but I liked it. Otherwise, I finished my revisions and will send them to my editor today.

We took Sadie for her second set of puppy shots.  She cried when she got the shot but was fine otherwise. Then my son and I gave her a both. The doc screamed and climbed into my shirt. It was half sad and half hilarious.  Poor baby. There was only an inch of water in the tub! I’m guessing she’s not going to be jumping into the pool anytime soon!

See? A total baby.  I won’t talk about Sadie all the time, I swear!

I’m feeling better, but still a bit sick and guess what’s taking up ALL my time?

Sadie is a JOY and a ROYAL PAIN. Good thing she’s cute because she puppy howls all night long.  Linc is taking bets on how long Wizard lasts! He’s trying, but the nights are hard.

We’ll see if Wizard and I can stick this out.  We truly jumped into this, fast and stupid!

This weekend I got to things:

A stomach bug and…

This is Sadie, an 8 week old shepherd mix. We got her late Saturday–I love her. Wizard and I were instantly impulsive smitten.

But I’m going to be honest, I’m not 100% sure we can do this with such a little puppy. We’re going to try, and I want this to work! But OMG it’s a lot of work.  We’re trying to crate train her and get her to, you know, sleep at night.  PLEASE!!!

It’s seriously bad timing that I’m sick.  That’s why I don’t sound excited by the way.  I am–but overwhelmed too! And worried.
