Weekend Roundup

I had a good weekend.  Friday, Wizard came home early and we went to lunch. Then he started cleaning windows and refused to let me help because he knew I had work today. He finished the windows on Saturday (we have a LOT of window) when I was at my RWA meeting.

Not having to clean the windows makes for an excellent weekend!

I also got caught up on some email and interviews I needed to get done.

Then Wizard and I went looking at model homes just for fun.  We found a one-story house that we love.  I am in lust. Wizard, however, is being all reasonable about why it’s not financially feasible for us to sell our current home and buy that one.   Way to suck all the fun out of the room, Wizard…that’s all I’m saying. Sigh.

I also got in a little reading time. And the weather is beautiful!

How was your weekend?

I love looking at houses. Most weekends, Hubs and I scope real estate websites looking for our dream retirement home. We’re not ready yet, but it doesn’t hurt to look.

For some reason, my weekend is a blur. I read a little, wrote a little, crocheted a little – and got nothing of any importance accomplished. I do remember it snowed yesterday. Off and on, all day, with no accumulation. By afternoon, most of it had melted off and it was still snowing. Weird.

Yup, the highlight of my weekend was snow. I’m so exciting.

I love looking at houses. But I come up with all these great ideas to remodel ours. Tell the Wizard that reasonable is not fun. :P hehe

Saturday was beautiful and I worked in the flowerbed a bit. It was nice being able to enjoy the sun.
We sold our plum crazy Charger Sunday. It was sad to watch it drive off. But the Hubsters is wanting different toys. No susprise there.

B.E., it is fun to look! It also energizes me to do things around our house.

I know exactly what you mean about unmemorable weekends.

Hope spring comes for you soon :-)

Ashlynn, I love those remodel ideas :-)

I’m getting the urge to plant some flowers which has Wizard smirking. But he’s not foolish enough to actually say I lack a green thumb and that he’ll end up rescuing the poor flowers.

So what new toy does hubster want?

My thumb is so black my kids make fun of me. But it doesn’t keep me from trying every year. Unfortuantly I don’t have anyone who can save mine. I’d say I kill 50% of what I plant.

And the Hubsters is looking at either a Roush Mustang or a Z06 Corvette. He never does things by halves.

I helped Lawyer Guy in the garage sorting through junk. Four piles: must have, must move to The Only’s (at least until she sorts through keep and toss), and must put in garage sale, and our favorite, MUST THROW AWAY! The trash guys are not going to be happy tomorrow. :D

And Jen? I remember now why I hate you. Sleep? I am deprived. I finally crashed at 5 a.m. this morning. Why? Because I was rereading freakin’ BLOOD MAGIC!!!! It kept me up all night the first time. Why did I think this read would be any different? *sigh* Okay, I’m taking precautions when NIGHT MAGIC comes out–fresh pots of coffee and copious naps the day before. I’ll be ready! ;)

My weekend was not good. The master shower broke and we had the water turned off most of the day until 10:30 p.m. after the emergency plumber came out and rescued us.

    Not good.

Sunday was a little more relaxing. Did some work from home and watched THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT with dd.

Glad your weekend was good Jen. Looking at houses is always fun. Reasonable stinks, but someone needs to be I guess.

Yo! Jen! You, and all your fans, need to check this block out. Two of the twitter gals are running a bracket of books they like to celebrate March Madness (and no, this is not DABWAHA from Smart Bitches and Dear Author.) REDEEMING THE WIZARD has been nominated in the Novella bracket!

Ashlynn, Wizard would love the Mustang!

We have to keep trying to prove them wrong about our black thumbs, LOL!

Silver, thank you so much for alerting us to the contest! I put on the blog for tomorrow too.

You’re making progress sorting through the piles!

You can’t hate me, you know you can’t :-) Besides BLOOD MAGIC kept me up night when I was writing it so it only sounds fair that it’s keep you up now! Thanks for liking the book enough to reread it!
