Monday, In Surround Sound

How did this happen? Wizard and I just wanted to buy a new TV.

Then we suddenly had to have High Definition.

Then the three Apprentices (our sons) decided that Wizard needed a blu ray DVD player with surround sound.  They bought it for him, and helped with the intial set up.

Then Firday Wizard and I spent all day mounting the speakers and taming the wiring.

This is insane! But it’s truly awesome watching movies too.   Saturday night, oldest son, girlfriend and Bailey dog came over to have dinner and watch a movie.  They were very impressed with the mounted speakers! AVATAR was awesome!

Sunday I worked all day until I couldn’t see the computer screen anymore.

How was your weekend?

We had the memorial for my cousin yesterday, he passed away on Thursday. 32 years old, so incredibly young. But a lot of family came into town, and friends we haven’t seen in years so that was nice. Plus the service was really nice. So it wasn’t all bad.

Sorry for the depressing update witches. But that’s all I’ve got this weekend.

Had a pretty good weekend. Youngest stayed at a friends Friday and Saturday. Oldest stayed at a friends Friday. Daughter had a friend over on Friday, they went to the movies and hubby and I had the house to ourselves for awhile, that doesn’t happen very often so we took advantage of it  .

Saturday we went to visit friends we havn’t seen in far to long. They were going through a rough spot in their relationship and it was uncomfortable for us so we gave them some time to work things out. They came to a comprimise and seem to be doing okay, but to say their arrangement is weird is an understatement. But I guess as long as it works for them. I didn’t realize how much I missed hanging with them until we visited. Our kids pretty much grew up together and it is one of the few couples hubby and I both enjoy spending time with.

Sunday I picked up youngest and was very proud of him. His friends mom said he was a great kid and he was welcome anytime. According to her that is not an invite she gives out often. Of course he helped with chores, including chopping wood, suck up, lol. The rest of the day was a few chores but mostly relaxing. So close to finishing the third Assasin book, but just didn’t quite make it :( .

You mean you weren’t suck…er – convinced to get a 3D TV?!? I say you got out easy ;)
My weekend was pretty uneventful so I won’t bore all you witches.
Now I must find Avatar ’cause my daughter loves the movie with the ‘Blue People’ … it’s her favorite color :)

Shiloh, what a sad weekend for you, I’m so sorry. 32 is way too young. But I’m glad to hear family and friends came together–that is very comforting.

Val, the house to yourselves is such a treat! Glad you took advantage of it! And you got to reconnect with old friends. I won’t even ask about their unusual arrangement their relationship :-)

Isn’t it amazing how the kids will do chores so easily for their friend’s moms? LOL! Glad your son made you proud!

There was a weekend? Oh. Yeah, I guess there was. I did my best to sleepwalk through it. LOL

 I knew y’all would get sucked in, Jen. But isn’t the HD and the surround sound amazing? And there really is a big difference between regular DVDs and BluRay! I laugh, though, when Lawyer Guy cranks the sound. It scares the dogs!

My weekend was good. Uneventful, but good. Daughter and I spent a lot of time together and that’s always fun. I love that she wants to spend time with me. :)

We got a PS3 to play Blue Rays on and we can also play PAC-MAN 30TH ANNIVERSARY. Which is totally awesome.

Zoe, I’m going soft in more ways than one :-) But Wizard is so happy!

Your weekend sounds nice, not boring! Everyone deserves a little me time.

Silver, didn’t you just send your latest project off? You never stop!

Yeah, it’s awesome! It really is. But sports in surround sounds while I’m trying to work? Going to need an office with a door!

Erika, it’s always special when our kids want to spend time with us :-)

It sounds awesome with the blu ray! But I’m done with this stuff for a while!
