Weekend Roundup!

I had a great weekend! Saturday was a high school graduation party for our niece. Always fun to hang our with family. I think I stayed pretty close within my Weight Watcher points. There were cupcakes and cookies. I ate ONE chocolate chip cook and walked away. I surprised myself :-)

Sunday, I feel like I made real progress on the new project–it’s such an exciting moment when I start writing actual pages!

In the afternoon, Wizard and I hung out in the pool. This is the first week the pool was warmed enough to use. We are fighting over the good raft though. Wizard claims it because one of the boys got it for Father’s Day.  He’s such a cheater! And if he accidentally fell off the raft while I was swimming under it…

All I can say is: Don’t taunt a witch!  Bwahahaha!!!!

Why, yes, we do act like children…and laugh ourselves sick doing it.

How was your weekend?

I imagine it’ll be quiet around here this weekend since a lot of our blog-friends are off to the Romance Writers of America conference in New York.  Hope those of you who go have a great time! And tell us all about it when you get back!

Sounds like you had a great weekend. One cookie – excellent. So happy to hear the new project is starting. Boys and their toys – so a rouge wave comes along and knocks him off

My weekend was normal. Didn’t do much other than grocery shop, laundry, cook and clean :) .

One cookie – now that’s willpower. Good for you. My willpower took a dive over the weekend, but I lost two pounds last week, so I’m not killing myself over a couple missteps. And anyone who taunts a witch gets what he deserves. Acting like a child is fun. (Plus it embarrasses the daylights out of my almost-adult kid.)

My weekend consisted of watching baseball, red-inking chapters until they looked bloody, reading brilliant fantasy (Princeps Fury by Jim Butcher – awesome!), and planning for my next trip to college for the kid.

Wish you were going, would have been nice to meet you. I’m taking the train in tomorrow to meet up with Silver and go to the book signing thingy :)

Viki, it’s not fun when you work as hard on the weekend as during the week! Sounds like you’re about due for a vacation :-)

B.E., two pounds last week is great! Weekends are harder, and maybe you needed a little break. My prior weekend was like that.

I hear you on the bloody chapters! I’m assuming they were yours, and not someone elses. When is the next college trip?

Ban, you’re going? I am sorry to miss meeting you in person! If you go to Anaheim next year, I’ll be there!

    Have a great time!

I have been picking up extra work as a security gaurd at a bank after hours. Social worker by day Security by night  Really it is funny if you think about it. Some one comes to rob it I will probbly yell at them in my mother tone and ask them what they thinks she would have to say about their behavior. Then I would end up getting them a ride to the shelter for the night and make sure they got to the unemployment office in the morning. In my oppion more effective than jail. Really it is not that exciting. But I do get to read a lot. Re-read Sinful magic on friday evening and read Ghost Moon and Magic Slays on Sunday. The extra money helps. My husband is not able to work as much as before. He tires out more. He is doing the looking after the kids this summer. He has always been the fun parent and I am the responsible one so the kids are having a good time with him. They all need it. :)

Kat, very interesting about your second job in security! I think you might have a conflict in job goals there, LOL!

Being able to read and get some extra money is a good thing :-)

Sounds like things are getting harder and harder for your husband. Hope you are doing okay. (But your kids are making out with the fun parent!)
