Weekend Roundup

Saturday was good. I finished the draft of the three chapters of my new proposal and sent it out for critiques.  Now I just need to write the synopsis–ugh. But it’s a necessary evil…so I’ll do it.  Then I went in the Jacuzzi with Wizard and told him  I was saving (weight watcher) points so that he could take me out for a chocolate dipped ice cream after dinner.

Wizard only agreed to this AFTER talking me into paying for my ice cream and his. He drives a hard bargain!

Sunday,  I went to coffee with Biker Witch (my sister) and at our favorite patio hang out.  We were there for nearly two and a half hours chatting away and we had a great time. But I have to lodge a complaint–this is the second time that we’ve had an odd man bug us while we’re involved in out sisterly chats. This doesn’t happen to me when I’m not with her, so I’m pretty sure it’s Biker Witch attracting them.  Oh well,  she’s a great sister in spite of the way she attracts annoying men so I ‘ll let it go.

So how was your weekend?

My weekend was rather nice, as long as I stayed inside :). I hate the heat.
Glad you got your ice cream cone. I’ve been trying to get hubs to take me for a banana split for over 2 weeks. I finally bought a carton of banana split ice cream Sunday AM. Had me a nice little bowl after dinner. YUM!

pretty uneventful, which isn’t always a bad thing ;) took the girls and hubster for ice cream last night too (it being national ice cream day and all) – was gonna treat them to something from the ice cream truck but of ALL days, not a single truck drove by … go figure.

Ok, Jen and Biker Witch. Y’all need to dish all the deets on this guy! Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Weekend? Had chapter meeting all day Saturday, a plotting bootcamp with Elle James and Delilah Devlin. It was awesome, as was sitting in the back corner with the pantsers. LOL I did learn some things, and I actually put some of the suggestions into play on Sunday. Then we went out for Chinese. And fortune cookies. My fortune? That I’ll be visiting a dentist tomorrow to have the tooth I broke on the fortune cookie pulled. I should have ignored the diet and had ice cream!!! ;)

I still have to get a lot of words written today and tomorrow to stay on track. I’m almost halfway done! See you witches the next time I come up for air.

Viki, glad you got your ice cream! And shame on hubs for not taking you :-)

I only like the heat when I’m in the pool, otherwise, I’m with you!

Biker Witch, if you remember, you couldn’t really see him, but I could. I’m pretty sure that makes me the authority here. And I have to point out that YOU’RE the one people stop to compliment your hair whenever we’re out shopping. No one ever notices me.

Silver, trust me, there was nothing interesting about the guy. He seemed strangely fascinated with our conversation.

You did have a good weekend–right up until the fortune cookie incident. I’m so sorry about your tooth! Hope your dentist visit tomorrow is easy and painless!

I had a pretty eventful weekend! For Father’s Day I preordered the hubby tickets for Harry Potter, opening night. So Friday night the kids stayed the night with my brother and the hubs and I went to the movies. Saturday morning I had the Make-A-Wish walk for Wishes at Ft. Harrison State Park. (I walked in honor of my oldest son who got his wish in October 2009!) Sunday we had church in the AM and then since I have 3 quizzes for my online class due today, my house got cleaned! lol  When it comes to procrastinating I am the queen! So now I am reading your blog instead of finishing up, I do have to point out that I did get 2 of the 3 done this morning so I’m not completely wasting my time!

I’m glad you had such a good weekend! Chocolate dipped ice cream totally is worth paying for! I abstained from the goodies this weekend, however since my boys stayed with their uncle Friday night they had ice cream 3 times in 24 hours! They go to the dentist Friday, any problems I’m blaming on their uncle!

You know you should not really tell stories like that. The Life Coach was talking to you and trying to give you his card!

Shiloh, so cool that you walked for Make A Wish! They are a great organization. I’m glad your oldest son got his wish, but I’m sorry he was sick enough to qualify. I hope his wish was everything he dreamed it would be, and more.

LOL on cleaning the house with 3 quizzes due! That sounds like something I’d do!

The ice cream was totally worth it and since the who thing cost me 2 bucks and change, I was laughing at Wizard more than complaining.

Having ice cream three times in 24 house sounds like a much loved uncle!

Biker Witch, wait, I don’t remember that. I remember YOU talking to the life coach while I just muttered “not interested.” Who is writing fiction now?
