Random Stuff

Some days I really hate my process.

For a few days I’ve been dancing around writing a scene. I write, delete, write, delete, find something else to do like make this  Hungry Girl recipe write, delete…

Sigh, I’ll get the scene written today. I will. Really.

Unless I find a new recipe to bake :-)

Yesterday I went to my RA doctor.  He was much more interested in my son’s injury than me, LOL! Actually he was quite helpful, and pointed out that I’m under some stress. And rundown enough to have a picked up a (mild) virus.

Yeah, it took a medical degree to figure that out :-)

And this is how well he knows me.  He wants to see me again in two months instead of three. But he didn’t TELL me that while I was in his office. He FORGOT to mention that and instead wrote it on my chart for the receptionist to tell me.

Because then I couldn’t argue, and tell him I’m fine.

That’s just sneaky! I kind of respect that in him.

Anyway, how’s your day going?

Sorry the words are giving you the run around (or the dance around as the case may be). I hate when that happens. LOL about you and your doctor. Sounds like you have a good relationship.

So far, so good, but it’s early yet. I didn’t write yesterday because I finally figured out how to end this puppy. It will mean pulling a nasty surprise on my MC. I feel bad for her and I haven’t even written it yet. Plus, she’s going to be pissed. Too bad for her, it’s the best way to finish this.

Wow I just have family and work to deal with. You writers have all these imaginary people around you getting angry or yelling at you. 8-O They sound harder to deal with than my pre teen son who wears the same clothes to school everyday but showers 3 times a day.

Good luck to all the authors that visit here. From a reader’s perspective all your fights with your charaters is worth the results you produce.

Ha – I think it’s funny that your doctor has your number :). It takes them a while but if they’re good they seem to catch on to us pretty quick. I’ve gone through 3 oncologist in 5 yrs and the last one got me on day one ;). It was surprising to say the least.

You need to practice some yoga breathing exercises to help with all the stress you’ve been under. The last thing you need is for a severe flare up of RA. Remember to take care of yourself first – how else will you be able to care for others ;).

Sorry that the scene is being so difficult. It’s hiding from you because it wants to be “just so” and will elude you until then.

B.E., yay on figuring out the ending! If your heroine will be pissed, then you know you’re on the right track.

I’ve been with this doctor for years and years, so yeah, we have a good relationship.

I do this hit-the-wall crap in every book. I’ll get over the hurdle.

I hate when characters fight words like that. And big kudos to your doc. He knows exactly how to play you for the good! You need to start taking better care of yourself. I hope you can nip that virus in the bud so it doesn’t drag you down further.

My day? It goes. ;) I slept in a bit. I’m playing with a Keurig coffee machine and visiting both on-line and in person with friends. I’m reading through SEASON OF THE WITCH (and finding places I want to fix–LOL) in preparation for writing the next book in the Penumbra world when I get home next week. I did hear back from my editor. FAERIE FOOL is in her reading queue and I should hear something back around Feb. 20. All good things! :D

Oh, and I’m also eating way too much but…vacation! ;)

Kat, I’m laughing about your son! Sorry, but I’ve been there with the pre-teen stubborn gene that pops up as they suddenly develop social awareness. You’ll get through it :-)

I have much more interesting arguments with my characters than I do with my family, so I guess that’s saying something…LOL!

Viki, how are you feeling now?

I’m so glad you found an oncologist that works for you! That is vital to our well being. It amuses me that my doctor takes zero crap from me. On the flip side, he never tells me to stop writing if I have a flare up. He knows I won’t and says so because he’s the same way. So instead we find ways for me to work around the problem. I’m assuming that’s the kind of support you’re getting too.

I’m going to try to get back to the gym next week–that will do a lot for me. But things are improving and it’s up to me to keep my attitude in check.

Hey Silver! So glad to see you all the away from Vacay-Land! But what’s this? You’re working on vacation by reading through SOTW? Okay, yeah, I might do the same thing so I guess I can’t lecture. I hope you’re having a great time otherwise!

I know I’ll get past this place I’m in–I’m just hair under half way through and it’s a huge turning point so this is (sadly) normal.

People keep telling me to take care of myself. Not sure how I do that under these circumstances :-) But I know everyone means well and it is getting better and better!
