Weekend Roundup

I drove by a  house selling German Shepherd puppies AND they had the puppies in the front yard in a pen. So adorable!!

Man, that was a test of my willpower. The only reason I didn’t stop was that I had a piece of strawberry cheesecake in the car I had bought for Wizard.

Stupid Wizard ruins all my fun. Sure he didn’t ask for the cheesecake, or have any idea I was getting it for him, but still, I blame him.

Then late yesterday afternoon, Wizard and I were running errands, and in the shopping center, there was a huge plastic container with a sign that says Cutest Puppies. Wizard kept on driving.

Mean Wizard! If I had been driving, things would have been much different!

So overall we had a good weekend except for work. I had planned on working Sunday but surprise guests threw that plan off.  Today I’m working all day after the gym.  Oh and my lunch with a friend on Saturday was great.  I felt much better by then and really enjoyed it.

So how was your weekend?

Jenn you need to keep a small cooler in the back of your car like I do. Wizards cheesecake would have been fine and you could have played with the puppies and maybe brought one home ;). This is becoming a trend you know – you’re being hounded (pun intended) by puppies wanting a good home.

I’m so happy to hear you felt good this weekend and had a nice lunch. Getting girl time is always a good thing.

Other than ordering the car my weekend was normal, cook clean, you know ;).

    Have a great day!

Cheesecake or puppies… Hmm. I’m all for puppies, but here I think you made the right choice. German Shepherds get awfully big and you don’t want to fall in love with something only to find it’s more than you bargained for. My last puppy I thought was Australian Shepherd mix when I picked him out at the pound. The more he grew, the more I realized he was Malamute mix. At 11 mos, he was 110 lbs.

I didn’t get much accomplished this weekend. Read a little, wrote a little, looked at properties for the Hubs’ someday eventual retirement, made Pumpkin Muffins. I can’t wait until next Saturday and the start of college football. I miss my Wolverines.

Viki, the car is very exciting for you all! But I was there with you doing cooking and cleaning too.

I know we can’t deal with a puppy, and if we ever do get a dog again, it’ll probably be an older dog (except Wiz and I truly have zero will power around puppies). But I wanted to offer to come play with the puppies everyday to help wear them out :-) I’d be great at that!

B.E., that’s so funny about your puppy! Probably not as funny to you as me thought :-). 110 pounds is a pretty big surprise!

Pumpkin muffins sound good, except I ate cake and ice cream this weekend and am going to try to be good this week. But I do like pumpkin muffins!

One more week until your football starts!

B.E. I want pumpkin muffins now :). Guess that’s a task for tomorrow – YUM!

Jenn – I hear you on the puppy issue but it’s still cute how you’re being attacked from all directions concerning puppies ;).

Viki, especially since I’m so wear where puppies are concerned. And Wizard is too, that’s why he tries not to look :-)

I used Butter Pecan cake mix. Just be aware, mine came out really dense. They’re tasty, but they need milk. And they probably would’ve worked better if I put raisins in.

Hey stranger! German Shepherd puppies Oh My! I love to play with puppies but I always adopt a dog that is at least 1 1/2 years old. Still young, still kind of a puppy, but usually house broken and trained. What can I say, I’m lazy. 8-O

I can’t wait to read Linc’s book. I’ve been waiting a long time for this. I had a wager with him that it would be out by now. Can’t remember what I wagered though. Maybe he forgot? :-|
