Wing Slayer Worthy

These short weeks are killer! I can’t believe it’s Wednesday. I’m so freaking determined to keep going on CAGE MAGIC until I have to stop for revisions on the no-title-yet Entangled book. That one is scheduled for release March 2013 and I expect revisions next month.  In the meantime, I’m going to write on CAGE MAGIC every day to keep myself anchored in the story.

Although yesterday didn’t go well since my wireless keyboard started acting like it was haunted. It would work. Then stop. Then work. I tried swapping out batteries, reconnecting it, restarting the computer, even selective swearing…and it still acted like a poltergeist with a bad attitude. Finally I realized I was defeated and hooked up my old keyboard. But I got an hour or two in so I guess that’s something. Today will be better.

Now for Wing Slayer Worthy. I have to choose from the pics I have on file (rights bought from Bigstock). We’ll give this one a shot:

So what do you think? Any potential for a Wing Slayer Hunter?

Sorry about your keyboard. Thank goodness you still had the old standby there to hook up.

I’m not feeling this guy and I really don’t know why. Maybe it’s because he looks too young and innocent.

    Have a nice day :).

There’s something familiar about him – like from the neck down he could be someone I dated. Sorry, that’s totally killing the mood for me. (And yeah, I dated lots, but that’s what comes of not getting hitched until I was 34.)

Yay for sticking to Cage Magic, though. I admire your focus. I had some good focus going on, and then the holiday weekend hit. It’s hard to get back in the groove once I slip. Ugh. Sorry about your keyboard, but at least you could go back to your old one and still get some work done. Go you. =o)

Sorry about your keyboard. I’ve been having hardware and connectivity issues for the past 2 weeks, but I think we finally have it pretty much sorted out….I hope. Now if i could just figure out why the phone isn’t ringing and is going straight to vm, I’d be happy! And, I’m not usually stumped, with technology.

I’m not seeing this one as a Wing Slayer. He doesn’t seem edgy enough. But, I think he has potential as some other type of hero.

Ok I studied the background and noticed some tools back there.
I like the intense attention to detail he is giving his project. A man that knows what to do with tools and his hands is always a turn on for me. There is a country song out there titled “Some thing to do with my hands” It is wicked  and I think it could be this guy’s theme song.

Send him my way I can give him some experiences that will age him quickly.

As for the key board- I keep a bottle of holy water by my computer to keep the gremlins away.

Ugh on the keyboard. Glad the old standby is working. I ordered a plastic cover for mine–to keep out cat hair and because my fingertips eat the letters off the keys. It didn’t fit quite right so I had to go get some double-sided tape to anchor it. Now I’m getting used to the feel, which is very different. That’s my story on why I’m not progressing much on the writing side, anyway.

Yay on progress with CAGE MAGIC. Glad Linc is cooperating. Will you send him over here with the rest of the guys to knock some sense into Sean?

As for the candidate? Nope. Not feeling it. Maybe Kat can fix ‘im up. ;)

Sorry about the wireless kb. At least you had a backup. I like Kat’s idea of the holy water

Yay on CAGE MAGIC!!! I can’t wait to read all about Linc :) Give him hell, Jen!

This candidate isn’t doing anything for me, either. Looks like he’s all Kat’s.

Viki, I try to keep backup because I know this stuff always happens when we’re in the middle of something. This keyboard lets me type as fast as I want…but most of the letters are gone which annoys Wizard.

Yeah, with you on the guy. He’s nice just not special.

B.E., I think we’re going to need a list and pics of all these guys you dated :-) I married so young, I didn’t date all that many guys.

Don’t admire my focus, this poor book has been a stop/start thing that is makes me keep losing the feel I need. I’m really frustrated. So I’m trying hard here!

Julie, I’m impressed that you could figure out your connectivity issue! I usually can but this wasn’t worth it. I have no problem with the cord-keyboard anyway. the only problem was that I messed with it too long, should have just swapped it out.

If it’s your cell phone going to voice mail, they do that and it’s annoying. My son (who works in it) tells me they just do that sometimes. But if yours is doing it every time, there must be a solution.

I think you’re right, he could be a “average guy” hero.

Kat, he is a construction worker according to the picture details so you’re onto something. We shall turn him over to you and see what you can do with him :-)

Great idea on the holy water, except I’d spill it all over the hard drive or something!

Silver, I type the letters off our keys too. That’s not a problem for me, but Wizard finds it annoying.

    So the cover works? Cool!

Seriously, I’m having real issues with the book due to constantly stopping. But I need to tell this story before my brain explodes, plus I have all these other stories and characters bugging me.

I think we’ve decided to give the guy to Kat and let her work with him!

    Dawn, thanks, I’m trying!

I’m kind of excited to see what Kat can do with this guy, LOL!

You don’t want pics. Most of them were ‘hunk fail’ candidates. :oO

He’s a no go for me – too lean, too … ordinary (?) he could get a job at the Home Depot though ;)

Good on ya for sticking with your story. I’ve gone as far as I can with mine (chapter 21) I need to outline some more now so I know where I’m going next. I have a few big scenes in my head but I need to fill in what comes between them *head desk*

Ban,I know you like ’em big as I do :-)

I have no choice but to stick with the story, believe me, I’ve got this other super pretty, shining idea torturing me, but Linc will carve me into beef jerky if I don’t finish his story. He’s kind of cranky about it.

You got all the way to 21 and have to stop and outline? Wait…that sounds like my crazy process! But you can do it!

I like this guy. He builds furniture obviously. :) See the sawdust on his arm? And he has wonderful eyes. But wing slayer worthy? no. There isn’t the over-the-top look to him, which a slayer needs.

Jen, I was having that same keyboard issue a few weeks ago. And mine is corded! It finally starting working right…although I have no idea why.

So glad you are pounding away on Linc’s story. Sometimes you gotta get ugly to stay focused. Me? I’ve gotten to measly page 6. Son is doing school online this year and my time has been tied up with him. Really, really, really wants to write more though.
