Weekend Roundup

On Friday, Biker Witch came out and rescued me from being stranded without a car. We just went out for coffee, but I was so happy to get out of the house!

Finally, we got the car back. Yay!

Otherwise it’s a pretty normal weekend. My web designer sent me a preview of the revised Jenniferapodaca.com page. It’s gorgeous, but not exactly what I want so she’s working on that. That page will be to promote the romance I have coming out from Entangled Publishing March 2013. Still not sure on the title.

My critique partner, Laura, is kicking my butt on the Secret Project. And I love her for it.

I miss Bailey dog! I did get to see him twice last week though. While out there, we took our middle son (G-Force) to dinner.  G-Force is a crack up. He was telling the story of a cat coming in Bailey’s back yard.

Bailey went into attack mode and chased the cat.

The cat PUNCHED Bailey right in the face.

Bailey ran off crying. (He was fine, just stunned and humiliated).

Just this summer, Bailey made a rottweiler four times his size cry and cower, but a cat beats him up. Silly dog!

Okay enough of my ramblings, tell me how your weekend went?

Glad you got out for coffee with Biker Witch. Having no car is so frustrating. I always feel trapped when I’m w/o a car even if I have no where I need to go.

I can’t wait to see your new site when it’s up.

So poor Bailey got beat up by a cat. The poor boy. I can see the same thing happening to PeeWee. He thinks he’s so tough ;).

Not much happened around here and I’m glad after all the money that flew out the window last week :).

    Have a great day!

Ramblings are fun. Poor Bailey. That mean ol’ cat sucker punched him or he would’ve shown it who’s boss. Yay for BW rescuing you and for Laura kicking your butt. I can’t wait to see your new digs (and that romance, of course).

Today is opening day of the Harper Voyager submission window, and I’m not ready. Now the countdown clock is ticking. I have 14 days to get this sucker polished and ready for submission. I will get it done! GrrRawr. (I am writer, hear me rawr.) I just need this damn book to toe the line and cooperate. And I could use another 4 hours in the day. Oh, and a truckload of Aspercreme. ;o)

It rained almost all weekend. We had several big storms move through and dump but Saturday and yesterday it wasn’t a hard rain. Cloudy. Drizzly. We NEEDED it! We’re still almost 10 inches below average for the year, but we were 15 inches before all the rain hit.

I wrote. A lot. Like almost 10K words. I’m down to the last two chapters on WOLF MOON. I have to chauffeur the kids around this morning (The Only is at work, Baseball Boy is here, they fly out for a conference at noon), but I plan to whip out the rest of the story this afternoon and have it ready for critiquing and editing. With luck, it’ll be ready to go in a couple of weeks. Yay.

Viki, I am sooooo sorry about your hot water heater. Ours cost about $1200 by the time we bought the tank and paid the plumber. That’s why I put up with the leak for so long. We had to save up the money. :(

B.E., you WILL kick that books butt.

Jen, glad your car is back and glad Laura is kicking your butt! We all need to get in gear and “Get ‘er done!” Even though it’s Monday. I need more coffee. Later, witches!

Viki, I’m hoping your don’t have any more of the expensive kind of excitement for a while too.

PeeWee sounds a lot like Bailey :-) They are characters. Middle son wasn’t too happy with the cat but they way he told the story was hilarious.

I had my car and went to the gym! Of course, now I’m behind on everything else, but at least I got my workout in.

B.E., LOL on the Aspercream! Do you have wrist braces? hen I work long hours, I wear the serious ones at night and the soft one in the day.

You will make the deadline! I know you can do it! Just keep going!

Silver! I’m tired reading all that! You are cranking now, yay! Keep going!

I’m as mean to Laura as she is to me. It’s why we work well together.

I know you guys really need the rain, but not all at once! Let’s space it out a little bit :-)
