Happy Friday!

I’m supposed to go out with Biker Witch tomorrow if she kicks the crud that she’s had for going on two weeks. I’m hoping she does–I’m really going stir crazy. Plus I want her to get well.

But I’ve been writing :-)

In other news, I saw my doctor on Wednesday, just my routine visit for my RA. He got very cranky over some lumbar pain I’ve been having for three months and MADE me go get an x-ray.  Which I waited nearly two hours for.  So annoying.  I tried to get out of doing it, but my doctor has known me way too long.  I come out of that little room, he hand’s me the order and says, “Go now.”

“But–”

“Now. I’ll have results by Friday or Monday. Go. Now.”

Sigh, I went. But I grumbled the entire time, texting Biker Witch and Wizard my annoyance.  I don’t have the x ray results yet, but I’m sure it’s a stupid muscle strain that is slow to heal.

Oh, and the doctor took me off exercise AGAIN to try to heal this thing.

Have I complained enough yet? The pain itself isn’t bad at all as long as I don’t do twist and lift kind of motions. But I really hate my life being interrupted.

Other than that, things are good. So what’s up with you guys?

Sorry about the doctor visit. I can relate. But we do have to listen to them even if we don’t want to. Our bodies do need to heal. Are you allowed to swim or is it no exercise at all?

I hope you get together with Biker Witch. You could use the girl time. Hope she’s beat the crud too.

I’m picking up the kid and taking him to get his new car Sat.!

    Have a great weekend :).

Life interuptions- A way of being told to slow down.

This weekend my family will be working together at the kids craft table of a local street fair. We have done it every year for the past 6 years so it is a tradition I look forward to. I am trying to enjoy it while I can still get the kids to help out. By next year I expect I will hear the dreaded words “Mom I am to old to do that….” from my son.

Sorry your back’s giving you fits. That’s the worst. But at least it’s not bothering you when you’re sitting and writing. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you can hang out with BW today. I’m sure she needs it as much as you do.

Over here I’m still plugging away, trying to get this manuscript into shape before Sunday. I finished the deep line-by-line edits last night. Today I have to write a 1500 character synopsis and do one more read through of the book. Provided there aren’t any more interruptions. Speaking of which, yesterday I saved an itty-bitty kitty. She showed up on my doorstep with an upper resp infection. Got her into the vet – and she has ear mites, too. Plus worms. He’s fixing her up and then we’ll find her a home. (Full story and pic on my blog, if anyone wants to see.)

    And now, back to work.

Crossing fingers for a Biker Witch outing. You come back with the best stories! ;) Sorry about the back. Here’s hoping you’re right and it’s just muscular and not something else. Listen to your doctor. That’s an order! Yay on the writing> *applauds*

Viki, kids grow up so fast and now his first car! Get pictures. It’ll embarrass him.

Kat, same message. They do grow up fast but sometimes, they surprise you and just want some nudging to do stuff they really want to do but are embarrassed because it’s not cool. The ol’ 3M excuse works well: Mom Made Me! ;)

B.E. I read the story and you’ve got a heart of gold! I am doing the happy dance over your edits and revisions. You’ll knock the socks off that synopsis and pull the trigger on the submission. Crossing fingers for you, too!

Me? I’m not doing much. Formatting the next Moonstruck book while waiting on my cover to come back. Plotting the next one in the series. Today, I’m mostly listening to the rain. Happy Friday, witches!

Viki, yay on the car! That’s so exciting! I know he’s going to love it.

Swimming can pull it too plus it’s cold and rainy here :-) Doc was hoping 7 to 10 days, and if not maybe a few weeks of physical therapy. I really don’t expect the x-ray to show anything.

Kat, that sounds like fun! Your son might surprise you next year–he’ll just tell all his friends that you are making him do it.

I’m slow…, not doing much at all except writing. And right now–that’s just desperately searching for the right scene.

B.E. just read your kitten story. You’re an angel for taking care of the poor baby. I hope you find her a great home.

No more distractions! Write that synopsis and submit!

Silver, why are you all taking the doc’s side? I’m sure I’m right, I’d be in more pain if it was serious :-)

So you’ll have the next book up soon?
