Weekend Roundup

Christmas has invaded my house. Now if I can get a huge chunk of shopping done this week, I’ll feel better.

Otherwise, I cleaned and then we went out to a tile and granite store. Walking through all those slabs of granite was interesting. The price was heart-stopping.  But we’re just looking around right now, it’ll be a while before we make any decisions.

And of course I worked. Wizard walked in the house, looked at me editing, and said, “Your boss is a slave driver, Witch.”

Cracked me up.  Then he ran an errand and came back with CHOCOLATE. For me!

But before you all start thinking he’s such a great guy…I had to share half– HALF!– the chocolate bar with him :-)

So how was your weekend?

You’re so funny ;). At least you gave Wizard half of the chocolate. John wouldn’t have been so lucky.

I bet the house looks great all decked out for Christmas. I still have the hubs and the youngest to buy for so I’m with you on the shopping anxiety.

Speaking of the hubs – he has taken me with him to London. We are currently in the Monday morning traffic jam. It looks nice out because it’s sunny. We have today and tomorrow am to do stuff before he has to work. I’m looking forward to seeing the city decorated for Christmas.

    Have a great day :)!

Yay for the Christmas spirit catching you. Send a little my way when you get a chance. I’m up to two present ordered now – one for Mom and one for the MIL (she’s getting a Kringle from O&H bakery – pastry awesomeness). Plus, the kid made Christmas cookies this weekend and I bought the ingredients for fudge. And I still don’t feel really christmasy.

LOL, Wizard’s awesome. Humor and chocolate! Two must haves in the perfect mate. =o)

I got some writing done last night – which lately for me is a cause for celebration. I also put up my next guest poster over at The Guide and answered the questions for The Next Big Thing meme over at my regular blog – where I got to talk about this WIP that’s clogging up my brain. Not an exciting weekend, but a good one.

Weekend Blur…… Yawn I want to lock my office door and take a nap. Maybe they won’t notice me behind my pile of paperwork. Hey a paperwork pillow. I’ll turn on the christmas music so no one hears me snore.

    See ya on Wednesday.

B.E., we should always celebrate writing! Good for you!

I don’t have much Christmas spirit so spare, I came down with a disgusting cold so all I’m spreading is germs. Wish I was more helpful there :-(

I’ll try to get over to your blog later today!

Viki, I’m so jealous! I want to go back to London some day. B.E., yay on writing, though I hear you on the bah humbug-ness. ;) Kat, I’m with you. I did NOT want to get up today. An arctic cold front came through last night and I don’t appreciate the cold any more.

Jen, yay on working! You are a nice witch to share your chocolate with the Wiz. ;) I had my RWA chapter Christmas party Saturday. It was a lot of fun and now 13 of us are going to do a serial Regency story based on the 12 Days of Christmas. It’ll start Wednesday on a special blog and it’s crazy with all the plotting, coordinating, and writing going on!

I think I need an Irish coffee, heavy on the Irish.

Jen, yay for getting the house decorated! Now get out there and shop! I have a little over half of my shopping done. I still need to figure out what to get my mom and find out sizes for the cousins’ kids. I’m with you on spreading germs. I came down w/ flu symptoms last week and now have a horrible cold. My mom and I have been trying to figure out how we’ve both become so ill when we hardly ever get sick. I keep trying to give my cold away but no one seems to want it ;)
