Weekend Roundup!

Pretty good weekend. Still struggling to write the first chapter of POSSESSION (book 2 in The Plus One Chronicles) but that’s not unusual for me.  I’ll get it, but it’s frustrating right now.

I broke down and made lemon cupcakes. But in my defense they are Research! Seriously! I even took a picture this time :-)  And I’m done baking for awhile. Really. I am!

Also, I found out that my book from Entangled, A HERO’S TOUCH (first book in  Once A Marine series) will come out in March.  The next round of edits are coming soon.

I’m going to be so busy, I won’t have time to bake much anyway. I want to write at least three more books, maybe four this year.

In hot off the presses news, Laura Wright and Alexander Ivy have teamed up to self  publish a new series titled BAYOU HEAT. They just released the first book! Raphael Parish is only 99Cents at Amazon and Barnes and Noble! I read it and loved it.

Okay so how was your weekend?

OH YUM! Lemon cupcakes sound so good.

I feel for you in getting the first chapter going. You creative people always amaze me since I can’t write.

It sounds like everything else is going great right now and you are going to be very busy.

I picked up Bayou Heat the other day but have to finish Rogue Rider first ;). I love Alex and Laura so I’m sure it’s going to be great.

Finally have my house looking normal again ;). Funny how comforting that can be.

Picked up my glasses (50 stinks!) so I can see things more than 8 feet away. Safer for all those on the road with me :). Now to go test them out today when I head to the market.

    Have a great day!

Ooo, lemon cupcakes sound awesome. But I’m not baking. I am NOT baking. (And if I say that enough times with enough emphasis I just might believe it.)

Wow, you’ve got a busy beginning to the year planned. Take it one day at a time and you’ll get through it. It all sounds so exciting, though. I can’t wait to read all your new stories.

The weekend here was more of the usual with a twist of the busy my life is going to become this year. (Which I’d love to tell y’all about but I can’t yet. And no, I’m not pregnant and I’m not any closer to publication.) I totally hear ya, Viki, on the glasses thing. I need to go get a pair myself – but for close up.

Viki, I read Rouge Rider! Loved it!

So with you on having the house back to normal I really enjoyed the holidays but there’s something to be said for routine :-)

I’m just scaring myself on starting this book. I love Sloane and Kat too much sometimes…weird I know. Today I will do it.

I wish I could see as well out of my glasses as I do my contacts. Glad yours are working for you! Stay safe on the road

B.E., let me know if you stick to the no-baking. I’m so done for a while. The only thing I’ll make might be the egg white “diet” cookies if I can’t control myself.

I went to Killer chicks. LOVED your blog! Everyone, go visit BE there! http://www.killerchicks.org/

WHAT??? You’re teasing us! I want to know!!!

It’s Monday, isn’t it? Man…I’ve been living in a fog. I feel you on getting starting, Jen! It’s almost noon and I haven’t even opened the current WIP. Of course, I haven’t looked at it in 3 weeks so…. I keep telling myself I’m “clearing the decks” and I am but…excuses. excuses.

Now I want something lemony, you wicked witch. I’ve put on 15 pounds so no baking or goodies for me for a LONG time!

    I can’t wait for March and A HERO’S TOUCH!

Silver, it’s hard to get back into it, isn’t it? I hope you can dive in soon!

Sorry for tempting you! I really am stopping with all the baking. I don’t think I’ve gained much, but it must stop!

Wow you are motivated. 4 books in a year? Go Jen, Go Jen…

I love lemon cupcakes…and lemon bread…and lemon cookies…well you get the idea. Sitting here eating my salad wishing it were a lemon cupcake. :-|

Dawn, I’m trying to be motivated, slowing going at the moment. But I’ll do it!

I ate a lemon cupcake at lunch…sigh. Hope you enjoyed your salad!
