I’m exhausted beyond words and Wizard is not happy about it.  But I’m thrilled that THE PROPOSITION is out and that THE BABY BARGAIN (written as Jennifer Apodaca) should be out on Monday March 4th.  I truly didn’t mean to have two releases 6 days apart, but sometimes there are scheduling shifts that are beyond our control

But lets talk about something else. BLB (my son aka Broken Leg Boy) called  me on Monday. First, he was so excited about THE PROPOSITION being out.  That made me so happy.  I doubt he will read it, but he has seen first hand all the work that goes into a book from creation to publication and respects that.  But he called to talk about his leg, and this is how he led into the it. “He mom I saw the doctor today, and I knew you’d understand this…”

And I thought, man that is awesome. He knows I understand what he’s dealing with. Frankly, it would be easy for him to lash out at me, but he doesn’t. He knows I live in chronic pain (at times, now always) and truly understand it.  He rarely ever complains, but instead, deals with it like a man and I’m just so proud of him.  The phone call was basically discussing his options, but he had it pretty well worked out. I agreed with his decisions.

I really wanted to share that with you because you all went through so much of BLBs recovery. He’s moving on with his life, getting very excited about his new degree after the accident destroyed his chances for the career he’d been working so hard for.

Wait, there was a weekend? I ended up doing two rounds of edits/copy edits on THE BABY BARGAIN and worked straight through.  But I got a sneak peek of the cover and WOWZA!!! It’s freaking hot! I love it! I wish I could show it, but I’m not allowed to yet   But it’s excellent packaging for the Once A Marine Series. THE BABY BARGAIN is the first book in that series (under the name Jennifer Apodaca). I’m getting excited now! I’ve just been too busy to really think about it. THE BABY BARGAIN will be out March 4th.

Friday, I went to hang out with Biker Witch for a while. Normally I would see her every week or two, but lately I suck as a sister and friend. Sigh. But it was great to catch up!

And now…

After all the work and agony, after taking a huge leap of faith, THE PROPOSITION is popping up on the ebook sites.  I’m so touched by response of readers already! Here are two links:

It’s Friday! Time to break out the appletinis and cookies! Yesterday was one of those days–slammed with work, and then I lost an hour and a half of edits on my computer. All day was like that. Such a pain, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes.

Today is shaping up to be insanely crazy too, but I’m taking some time off to go have coffee with Biker Witch (my sister). I haven’t seen her in a while and want to catch up. I’m really looking forward to that.

This weekend will be a lot of work as I’m gear up for the release of THE PROPOSITION! After so much work, it’s finally here.  I’m doing a blog tour too, but I’ll tell you guys about that Monday.

What I want to know now is what you all are doing this weekend?

I’m changing things up a bit (shhhh don’t tell the Wing Slayers, and especially Linc!). But since THE PROPOSITION, book one in The Plus One Chronicles will be out in just days, it only makes sense. (P.S. you can read an excerpt of THE PROPOSITION here)

The weekend was good! Today I will be making a chocolate cake stuffed with and covered in candy for BLB. His birthday was this weekend, but BLB had to work so we’re celebrating today.  BLB is insisting on chocolate chips, and two kinds of m&ms baked into his cake and on the frosting.

Seriously–that boy loves his chocolate! The cake should have a hazard label on it–but there’s no room with all that candy

I’m hoping to get back to the gym today to work off some of that cake–plus the truffles Wizard and I had for Valentines Day and beyond.  My back is doing better, not sure its up to working out yet, but I think I should try.

Hmm…am I forgetting anything else I wanted to tell you all?

Darn it, I feel like there was something else I want to say. Okay…not subtle enough? LOLOL!!! This is my countdown guy. I’m putting him on FB too.
