Worthy!

I’m so close to being able to announce something, but not quite there yet. Don’t you hate that?

I’m on the last pages of Silver’s book BRIDE’S MOON.  Finally getting a chance to read! But mostly I’m trying to setting back into writing POSSESSION. I love this book, but right now, it’s a huge mess. That’s okay though, that’s just how I work.  And it’d be great is Sloane would stop bugging me at 2 am. I’m telling you, the man does not sleep so he’s decided I shouldn’t sleep either.

Oh but when I’m at the computer and begging for inspiration? Sloane is either training or in a meeting. Talk about annoying!

Now for a dog tail tale. On my animal shelter site, I found this super cool adult German shepherd. He’s trained, etc. But I was so slammed with work that by the time Wizard got home, I forgot to show him.

Saturday night I finally remembered.  Wizard stomped over to the computer, complaining that the didn’t want to see a stupid dog. Then he saw him.

“He’s a cool dog. What’s wrong with him?”

“Nothing, his family had to move into an apartment.”

“Really? And he’s trained?” Wizard asked.

“That’s what they said. But they are closed tomorrow.”

“Probably for the best,” he said and wandered off.  So I’m left kicking myself for not showing Wizard sooner.

Monday, after a crazy morning, I finally remembered to look. The dog had been adopted. I figured that was probably for the best. Right? But no…Wizard comes home, “You know, witch, I’ve been thinking about that dog you showed me…”

Sigh… I told him the dog had been adopted. It probably is for the best but I’m still pouting a little bit.  However, there are always dogs that need homes if we ever seriously decide to do it.

I put this guy on my FB page this week. What do you guys think?

Is he worthy enough for you?

An announcement is coming and you’ve got me again, you tease :).

Sounds like Wizard is beginning to crack. It is good that the shepherd found a home. I hate when they’re stuck in shelters for too long.

As for Sloane it sounds like he is trying to be helpful but needs to get better timing.

I like this guy but he’s young. I can’t have him as a full slayer yet. He’s in training ;).

    Have a great day.

    :poke: Stop teasing. =op

Sorry about the dog. I had that happen years ago with a cute little beagle mix. I fell in love with her and even named her Peaches, but I wanted a day to think about it. When I got back to the shelter the next day, she was gone. =o( But that’s okay because I got my Sheba instead, and she really was an awesome dog.

I finally downloaded a copy of The Proposition yesterday – along with three other books. (I’m so bad.) Can’t wait to read it.

As for the guy, I can totally picture him as a Wing Slayer Hunter. Rawr.

*shakes fist* You are such a tease, witch! Stop this. At once! *sigh*

Sloane is just being true to his personality. You dreamed him up, Jen, so it’s up to you to make him behave.

And yes, I’ve always liked this guy so he’s worthy. The Slayers will get him beefed up during his training. ;)

Hope you’re still enjoying BRIDE…*chews nails*

Viki, sorry for the tease. I don’t know if it’s exciting to you guys or not. Might be you all don’t care.

I could easily get Wizard to crack :-) I just worry I don’t have enough time to give a dog. Or that I’ll play all day and not work.

We need a super brave dog like Pee Wee though. I was thinking about him this morning while driving home from the gym. What a little hero he is!

B.E., Aww on the beagle but you did get your Sheba. And truly, the important thing is that they get a good home.

I really hope you like the book! And glad you like the guy!

Silver I finished it last night after i wrote the blog. Great book! There’s more Indian (Native America) culture and it’s more plot focused (as opposed to romance) than the others. But it had the killer hook at the end! Very good read!

I’m not really teasing too much, really. We should get it finalized soon.

You’ve been teasing forever, seems like. I’ll be patient. As for the dog, yeah, I have the feeling it wasn’t quite right. Had it been, you would have been calling Wiz right then and emailing the photo. When/if the time comes, it’ll be serendipity. :D

I know what you mean Jenn, about the time a dog requires. It’s nice to have grand dogs so we can play and then let their “parents” take over :).

Just finished THE PROPOSITION. Awesome book. And now I can’t wait for the next in Sloane & Kat’s story. You’re sure we have to wait until May? :(

Jennifer – I just read the interview that Under the Covers Book Blog did on you and your latest series starting with The Proposition. This really intrigued me, so I bought it to read and got it done in no time. Loved the chemistry between Kat and Sloane and am now chomping at the bit for the rest of their story! I hope that Sloane has given you some help with his next book in the meantime. You have a new fan and I am anxiousely waiting for Possession. Take care!
