Weekend Roundup

It was a decent weekend.   Wizard and I had been debating about the cabinets in our bathroom. Finally on Saturday I mentioned that he was right and maybe we should paint them white.  With the counters dark now, the bathroom looked off balance because the tub and shower are white tile.  The next thing I knew he said he was going to the store to buy paint. And he painted them on Sunday. Turns out he’d just been waiting for me to come to that realization.  I was amused. Usually I’m waiting for him to come around to my way of thinking :-)

My editor was delayed but go the edits to me last night on POSSESSION and I have a lot of work to do.  I just now read her letter so I’m still processing that. But I know what I’ll be doing.

How was your weekend.

Again, you two are funny :). The white cabinets should look great with the granite. Wizard must have been a busy bee on Sunday ;).

Have you picked out granite for the kitchen yet? You did have the measuring done last week, right? As much as the bathroom changed wait until the kitchen is done. When I did mine I couldn’t get over how different it made the room look.

I played with my Dyson all weekend. It’s taking me some getting used to. Not picking it up by the handle is the my biggest screw up. As I lift it I remember – duh! But I can reach the ceilings and get all the stuff off of them :). I was so happy. John laid on the couch and just told me I was very strange.

Have a great day and don’t work too hard.

You’ll have to post pics of your new white cabinets. Whoever did this house repainted the cabinets in my bathroom white – from off white – and it’s a mess. (Not that I think Wizard would make a mess – I just want pics so I can see how someone did it right.)

Good luck with your edits. I hope they aren’t too harsh or too much work for you. :hugs:

Let’s see… I worked on resumes for a couple family members who’re looking for work. We went grocery shopping. I spent a large portion of the weekend trying to decide what to do with my writing. I think I’ve come to the decision that I need to be bold (partly from Toni McGee Causey’s last post at Murderati, but I read that after I was already leaning that way). I need to push. So, to that end, I’m going back over a couple manuscripts I believe in but never really pushed toward publication.

And we watched The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel – which, if you haven’t seen it yet, is a very inspiring movie.

I’m really late getting around today. I didn’t get up until after 10 a.m. and I’ve been cleaning out my inboxes. OMG, the email! UGH! I’m down to 37 (from almost 400) and these all need action. I have to find time to write at some point today, too.

I’d planned to write Saturday but I had some “fires” to put out and then Sunday, I was at the Memorial Marathon all day. It was fun but exhausting! And I didn’t even run.

I hope Wiz did a good job with the painting. When we redid ours, the walls went light, as did the floor, so I took the light cabinets to a shutter green. It worked great!

Viki, LOL on John! You amuses him :-) Hope you get used to the Dyson soon. It’s taking me a while to learn how to get the hose attachment out.

We’re doing the kitchen Thursday. i meant to mention that, sorry! I can’t wait for it to be done, but I’m worrying about working through it. And I have to do it.

B.E., wasn’t Toni’s post heart wrenching and inspiring at the same time? Do it, be bold!

I’ll try to remember and get that movie.

I hope you can redo your cabinets how you want them. This wasn’t my first choice, but it works the best for now :-)

Silver, ugh! Sympathies on the email. Don’t even worry about getting here on days like that. I completely forgot myself because I’m in full panic mode.

Hope you can carve out some writing time!

Oh definitely, Jen. Her post broke my heart and fired me up at the same time. As for the cabinets? That’s like Phase 4. LOL
