Wednesday Worthy

I’m playing a life and death game of “Can This Book Be Saved?” It’s an awesome game if you:

1) Think stomach acid pain is exciting

2) Believe sleep is for losers when you can lie awake and get some quality worrying time in.

3) Don’t want to have a life. Any life.

4) Think it’s acceptable to go to the store to buy paper plates but come home with paper towels.
I mean they are on the same aisle, right? At least I got close.

All that said, I love this editor. She’s make me dig hard and find the emotional crux of the story, along with the cleanest way to tell the story. This is what an editor is supposed to do, and I’m extremely happy with her work.

Tomorrow we’re having the granite counters put in the kitchen. I’m still a little shocked we’re ding this after years of talking/saving/hoping. I’m not sure how I’ll work through that thought. I’ll probably have to do it on my laptop.  But all this means that today I have to empty out the cupboards and clean out under the sink. In my spare time. Hey! I know I should multi-task and do that while I’m not sleeping :-)

I don’t have a good pictures, so I’ll throw this guy up today because I wish I could sleep like that!

So what do you think?

Count me among the members of the ‘not-sleeping’ populace. I got like 3 whole hours before something woke me up. I’ve been up for an hour now, but I’m tanking fast. Guess I’m sleeping in shifts tonight. ;o)

Sorry your edits are giving you a headache. You can do this, though. And you can save this book. So stop worrying and go to sleep. Dream of how pretty your kitchen will be when it’s all done.

He looks pretty worthy. But he is reminding me that I should be sleeping. So, off I go.

I just cannot imagine going through the agony you are right now. I’m sure with your editors help you will work the book out just fine. It has to be so frustrating. Know that you have our support behind you.

You will need your laptop today :). The granite is going to be so cool – you’ll find yourself wondering how you ever lived without it.

As for the eye candy – I wish I were the one relaxing in the sun. He looks so good :).

Have an exciting and good day!

Can’t help much on the sleeping matter, I have always been nocturnal. My family jokes that I must be a vampire because if the sun is up, I’m yawning until it goes down. Multi-tasking is a good thing, except when you are running low on sleep, I tried that at work and said something that made my boss’s son blush so red I thought he was having some sort of attack (I did not get in trouble I would like to add.)
The whole paper plates/paper towels thing is ok, I nearly put the dishes in the fridge and the milk in the cabinet. I managed to catch myself because my friends were there and made some comment.
On another note this guy does look relaxed but looking at his eyes (behind the shades) it almost looks as if his eyes are open. Although maybe its just me, I have been know to see things like that :) . My friends used to tease me that I thought my posters were watch me, I can only say that I was 10. The shock will wear off when you see the finished result, and know how much you love them. Until then take a deep breath and hope for the best (and some much needed rest) while you rest assured that we support you.

Yea if he were in my bed I would not have left it this morning.

Ok do the crazy screaming thing while we all sit here and nod our heads and smile. Then breath, drink coffee and smile- it will drive wizard crazy too just trying to figure out why you are so calm now and that will be worth pretending to be calm just to make him wonder. By the time you have done all that : you will be relaxed enough to fake it till you make it girl. :-D

    Works for me.

Insomnia is my middle name. Unfortunately, it just slows me down. Yay for the granite. I’m so jealous! I saw a graphic that reminded me of you. I’ll send it shortly. You always go through this stage with your current WIP. :D

As for the candidate? What is it about men that they can sleep anywhere?!? And Amanda? You are so right! His eyes ARE open. Sneaky man. He’s watching us watching him. ;) He’s okay but I’ll let the others have dibs.

    Happy Hump Day!

B.E. I hope you get some sleep! What is it with women and insomnia? It’s beyond annoying.

Thanks for the support. I have to do it so I will.

The candidate is making me tired too :-)

Viki, I’m sure I’ll have to use my laptop since my computer screen faces the kitchen…and you know the stuff I write  It’s just harder to edit in track changes on that computer, but I’ll do it. I know I’m going to love the granite–I’m excited!

Thanks so much for the support! Yesterday went better and I expect today will go pretty well too.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to be on vacation in the sun?

Amanda, thank you so much! I appreciate your confidence in me!

I’ve done those things too when I’m tired or stressed, LOL! We all do I think. I just readily admit my mistakes.

LOL on eyes from people on posters falling you. That actually creeped me out a little bit-like a Stephen King book :-)

So glad you didn’t get in trouble at work!

KAt, that’s so funny I just told someone in an email I was going to “fake it until I make it.” LOLOL!!!

Wizard is so used to my insanity, he just rolls with it. I’m relaxing more though.

Hope everything is going well with you!

Silver I got the graphic, that’s so me!! Too funny! I cracked up. I’ll email you back when I get a few minutes.

Of course he’s watching us watch him! So glad you ratted him out it makes perfect sense.

Gotta get going on work here, but love that graphic!
