Weekend Roundup

Had a fast weekend! Mother’s Day was nice, oldest son and fiancee came out and we had breakfast. So great to see them. Talked about the wedding and they are looking a buying their first home. So much fun!

Otherwise I worked. I only have to finish the end today and the book goes back to the editor.   I love Sloane and Kat so much, I justice hope I’m doing them justice in book 2, POSSESSION.

I so ready for a little freedom from work thought! All work and very little play (or sleep) is not good.  Anyway, once I send this off, I’ll be around more to answer comments and such. (And Viki, thank you for the tips on granite! I knew about the cleaning products but not the bottles with oil in them).

How was all your weekends/Mother’s Days?

I’m glad you had a nice Mother’s Day.

It must be so exciting talking about the wedding. Isn’t fun how they can buy a house too? It makes things so much easier on them when they have established themselves financially.

The fact that you love Kat and Sloane so much tells me that you have and will continue to do them right ;). Now it is time for you to get some much needed playtime :).

    Have a great day!

Mothers Day passed like any other day. My husband did wish me a happy day. The Kid did, too, after she got off work and remembered it was Mothers’ Day. Other than that, nada. Which worked for me. I didn’t do jack. Well, other than grocery shopping – which isn’t a chore for me.

So glad you had a nice day with your son and his fiancee. And that you’re close to getting the book done. Way to go! Take some time and play today. Relax.

Today there’s work to be done on this end. So I best get cracking. Have a great day, Witches! (And send a few spells my way so that my furniture gets here. Or barring that a few spells to turn the furniture dude into a toad.)

BE It sound like the Furniture dude is already a toad if it is taking so long to get there. I’ll send a delivery spell.

Doing a wedding and a house is nice as long as you do not do it in the same week. We signed on the house Tuesday, moved in on wed, his family arrived on Thurs and we got married on Sat. I do not recommed doing it that way unless you want to be sleeping or fighting through the honeymoon.

The weekend was good. I got all my mother’s day plants and seeds for the garden and even got them planted after the rain. :)

Jen where is Bailey? I thought you would have him some this weekend to help you chill out. Kat and Slone – the story will be there.

It’s been so loooong since I’ve been on here! I missed it. Mother’s Day my sister and I baked a cake for Mom and my niece brought over some cookies for her they baked. On one cookie, however, a little “mouse” had been eating off of it. She’s 4 years old, so you just know it’s going to happen. She even had cookie crumbs on her face, it was so adorable.

Now it is Monday and no one is looking forward to it. One of my sisters has a dentist appointment on Wednesday to get her FIVE wisdom teeth out. I swear, only in our family… Have a happy Monday! :))

Friday, Lawyer Guy ended up in the ER and missed Baseball Boy’s “hooding” ceremony. He’s now all graduated with his masters. :)

I did a book signing on Saturday. Uhm…yeah. No comment.

Yesterday, I took the whole day off. I didn’t turn on the computer. I finished reading a book and then watched movies before LG and I met the kids for dinner at a local BBQ place. It was a good day but now I’m all behind and I have to mow the yard to keep LG from doing it. :-| Trying to decide whether to do it now, get cleaned up, and write, or write now and mow later. Tough decision. No, really!

Glad everyone had a good weekend! Jen, you’ll get a handle on the story and it will be awesome!

Viki, thanks for your vote of confidence. We’ll see :-) I just sent the book into the editor for round two.

I’m super excited for CPA son and his fiancee. We really had fun despite all my anxiety over the book.

B.E., what the heck on your furniture? I’ll send all my spells your way!

Frankly, you deserve more on Mother’s Day. Just saying…

Today I’m going to give catching up my best shot :-)

Kat, what a lovely gift for your mother!

Sounds like a crazy time in your life with buying the house and getting married the same week!

Bailey couldn’t come out yesterday, but he’ll be here around the 26th, I think.

Stephanie, you and your sister are so sweet to your mom! And I have to admit, I’m older than four, and been caught with cookie crumbs all over me too. Much to Wizard’s eternal amusement.

FIVE wisdom teeth? Nope, can’t top that!!! Hope it goes well for your sister.

Silver, is LG okay? I hope so. But huge congrats to Baseball Boy! That’s a huge achievement that takes years of hard work. I know you’re extremely proud of both him and you’re daughter :-)

Taking the whole day off is GREAT. I’m going to learn to do that too.

Don’t overdo it. Sounds like you’re in caregiver mode–remember that you can’t do it all.
