Happy Friday!

It’s been a nice change to have a little down time. Biker Witch (my sister) came over Wednesday, we hung out and went to lunch. That was all great, but the waitress annoyed me.  As soon as Biker Witch and I sat down, right there in front of my face was a picture of chocolate cake.

I tried to look at the menu, but that cake picture kept enticing me.

So finally I ordered grilled chicken and a salad. Because….chocolate cake.

After we finished our lunch, the waitress  barely stopped long enough to drop off our check and vanished without asking if we wanted anything else.   So I took this a sign from my hips and thighs to forget the cake.

My will power is astonishing like that. Amazing. I really should have a fan club for my will power. Right up until Biker Witch left my house and I ate the last two (big!) chocolate chip cookies I had left over from Mother’s Day.

Will power lasts about as long as chocolate around me. And worse? Wizard came home, and I told him about eating the cookies. He laughed and said he saw chocolate cake in his future anyway because once I get a craving, I can’t resist baking.

Ha! I’m so going to resist!

And back to Biker Witch–she’s having way too much fun working with the dogs at her volunteer job. I’m so jealous!

As to the weekend, shhhh, I may be working since I’m getting my manuscript back from the editor, but don’t tell Wizard. I told him I was taking the weekend off :-) So what are your weekend plans?

I’m glad you got out with Biker Witch. Sorry the staff was so bad. I find they’re either constantly in my face or no where to be found. As for the cake, I would have left it too. Wizard is funny. Something tells me that you’ll be hinted at to make a cake ;).

I won’t tell that you may work over the weekend but don’t work too much. You deserve some down time.

We’re all going out to dinner Sunday to celebrate the guys birthdays. It’s so hard to get the gang together with all the different schedules.

Have a really nice weekend :).

I’m glad you and Biker Witch got together. Sorry about the staff though, I had that happen once and I was with my parents, we got up and left. They even went online and complained, which you could do as well. It really seemed to work, I can’t vouch for everywhere though. Wizard is funny, and something tells me that he will be hinting for that chocolate cake, but make him wait.

Don’t work too hard, over the weekend, I won’t tell anyone. Your secret is safe with me  . As for me I’m reading the KGI series by Maya Banks, I was on her website, saw it and when I read and excerpt from each book, I had to get them. My poor card was so abused that day, and my friend laughed, even though she reads as much as me! I think you might like this series as well. The first book is called The Darkest Hour and I LOVED it, can’t wait to start the next.

    There is a weekend 8-O

I am glad you and your sister had a good time. I am sure though if you had mentioned the cake to her she would have tackled I mean waved the reluctant waitress down to make sure you got the cake. Sister/friends are like that. :-D

If I have a weekend- I will be doing things around the house. There is always enough stuff there to keep me busy.

Yay for having fun with Biker Witch. That’s too cool. Too bad about the crappy waitress, though. You could’ve wanted cake – even if you had a diet-ish lunch.

And now I want cake. My daughter sent me a Bavarian torte to use as my birthday cake, and I’ve been really good about not eating it because it’s not my birthday yet. But today it might not make it through the day. Heck, it might not make it through the morning.

This weekend will be hanging out and enjoying each other’s company. I know I have work to do, but the willpower to actually do it is sorely depleted.

So glad you and Biker Witch had fun. We all need fun time like that! I have OKRWA this weekend and the program is about human trafficking. It should be really interesting! I’ve got a pile of critiques to read and work through so that’s what I’ll be doing and then start working on the new project come Monday. :)

Have a great weekend, witches! Now where’s Linc hiding? I need an appletini. ;)

I did NOT hear anything about chocolate chip cookies! I was not offered one. How rude and mean
