Happy Friday!

I’m writing this Thursday night. BLB (my son) came over, great to see him. We’re seeing more of him right now as his college semester ended but next week he starts summer classes.  Anyway I was watching BLB out back playing with Bailey, and yeah, BLB has a slight limp but he’s come so far in a year and a half (since the accident that severely injured his leg).  It’s quite amazing if I look at the whole picture. BLB lost the career he was working so hard for, but he has thrown himself 100% in a new career path. He’s doing really well in school and has about three semesters left ( he lost a full semester and a half with his leg). That’s all the good news.

The bad news is BLB took Bailey with him when he left. Wizard and I both miss Bailey :-( But he was happy as can be driving off with BLB, who will deliver him to middle son whenever the two of them work it out.

Some pics: Here I tried to sneak up on Bailey from the kitchen as he was laying out on the patio:

Obviously, Bailey caught me :-)

Here’s Bailey “helping” me cook:

Bailey watching me cook

See those eyes? That’s what he does when I’m working. He puts his front legs on my lap and looks at me with those big eyes so I stop working and play with him. It’s very effective!

Here’s Bailey playing in the front yard:

Okay enough of Bailey–it’s not like I love him or miss him or anything!

Here is where I’ll be today and over on the weekend for the POSSESSION blog tour:

5/31- Mimmi’s Musings (series spotlight)

6/01- Underworld Love Addiction (series spotlight & review bk 2)

6/01- Riverina Romantics (series spotlight)

6/02- Page Flipperz (series spotlight & review bk 2)

6/02- Toot’s Book Reviews (interview)

Stop by and enter for the $50.00 gift card!

Now that I’ve gotten the blogs and interviews all done and sent off, I have a book…or three (Insert Standard Issue Panic here) to write.

What are you all doing this weekend?

Thanks for all the cute Bailey photos. He really is sweet. I can picture him in the front seat driving off with BLB. I bet you and Wizard are missing him terribly.

John and Cassie went to Philly but left Pee Wee with his other “grand-parents.” We have to trade off ;). He’s happier there too because he has a playmate – Roxy. In playmate I mean he can push her around, eat her food and keep her from getting treats. Yes, the little stinker can be a bully.

See – we told you that you had nothing to worry about with The Possession. It’s great.

    No real plans this weekend.

I hope you have an excellent weekend :)!

My yard is calling to me. So mowing grass and weeding the garden are all on my adgenda. After spending all week in an office I like getting out.

3 books? I know of the next one in the Once a Marine series, and the last part of Kat and Slone, but what is the 3rd book? Some super secret project again :) ?

    Happy weekend everyone.

Yay for Bailey pics! And hurray for BLB’s progress. I’m so happy for him. =o)

Rumor has it we’re finally getting both the new gutters installed and the remainder of the furniture delivered today. But we’re under a flood warning for the area and it’s supposed to rain more, so I’m not holding my breath. I’m going to work this weekend – re-writing and querying – regardless. And do some walking if it ever quits raining.

Yay for Bailey pics! I’m almost as proud of BLB as you, Wiz, and his brothers! Y’all did good raising him. :)

Writing. I’m re-editing SEASON OF THE WITCH and writing a prequel novella with a working title of BLACK MAGIC. (I’m either going with That Ol’ Black Magic or Black Magic Woman.) As soon as ROGUE MOON gets back from CP, it goes off to the editor and once it’s all clear, I’ll get it formatted and up on Amazon, hopefully next week!

I’m also watching softball. NCAA tournament is in town but all the games are televised. Yay, ESPN. I can stay under the AC and watch them all.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

Viki, we do miss Bailey :-) He’s so good, party because he’s older/calmer now. And so sweet!

PeeWee cracks me up! But he’s pretty tough, he scared off a bad guy one night, so he’s earned his attitude!

Thank you so much on POSSESSION! I can’t even describe my anxiety (Wizard can, he calls it CRAZY WITCH SYNDROME) over that book. And thank you again for the lovely review!

Kat, I bet it does sound like heaven to get outside when you’re in an office all week. Probably helps re-energize you.

I have two more books due in the Once A Marine Series. Those books need to be my priority but I want to get Obsession done too. I would love to do a new super secret project but it won’t happen this year.

    Enjoy your yard!

B.E., it would be just your luck with the furniture to have a flood now. That whole thing has just been unreal! I hope you get the gutters installed before the rain hits.

Love your commitment to writing! Keep going!

I flaked a bit on your blog–can we do it another time? I *just* finished writing all the other blogs and interviews and need to get going on the next book.

Silver, thank you on BLB! Since you went through a tough recovery with your daughter, you know that feeling of relief and pride as they move on.

YAY for getting ROUGE MOON up soon! I know you hit a rough patch with that book for a while but you persevered and got through it!

Are you going to self pub SEASON OF THE WITCH? For the prequel title, I’m torn between them (not that you asked, LOL) but leaning toward BLACK MAGIC WOMAN because it seems to stick in my head from the song–always a good thing if it sticks in our minds!

    Enjoy the A/C and sports!

Not a problem, Jen. I might just do a post on your release anyway in place of a guest post this time around, but I’ll definitely try to get you for the release of Obsession. ;o)

And the furniture came, but no sight of the gutter people yet. But who cares? The furniture saga is finally finished! :muppet flail:

    Yay for B.E. having furniture!

And yeah, ROGUE was not a happy camper until this last go round. I plugged a hole, rearranged a couple of chapters and now it’s all good. Or will be once the editor gets done with it.

 I always value your opinion! I’m sort of leaning that way, too, but I’m thinking someone *big* has a book coming out with the same title. Yes, I’m self publishing the Penumbra series. I like having creative/editorial control over a project that’s so dear to my heart. The only person I have to argue with is myself. ;)

The prequel is a way to introduce the main characters (all but Sinjen, Sade’s vampire who arrives in Witch) and does a little world-building before the events of WITCH. And it’s set in New Orleans so WIN! :)

B.E., I’m happy to give away some books on your site if you like. And we’ll plan something for Obsession. You’ll be FIRST on my list :-)

Silver, hope you came through the tornado and torrential rains okay!

Title duplication is so common now. I wouldn’t stress too much about that, especially since you’re subtitling it wtih the series name, right? But in the end, it’s your call!

Hmmm, I almost feel funny commenting – it’s been so long since I had free time to blog jump. But I see all your posts on FB so I almost feel like I’m keeping up even though you don’t see me …
Yay for BLB, it HAS been a long road – I remember when the accident first happened and how supportive you all were for him. It made my heart happy to see you all so loving and now he’s showing you how amazing your encouragement has been with how he’s managed to overcome.

@ Silver – I am more thrilled about Season of the Witch than any of your books so far. I can remember you first telling us about the story on your blog and I was hooked on the idea from then on. I can’t wait ’till it comes out and I totally hear ya on the self publishing aspect. I have a hard time imaging anyone putting their fingers in Amy and Vance’s story, though I know it must be done to some extent.

I will try very hard to get back into the swing of things gals !

Ban, I’m so glad you commented! You shouldn’t feel funny, we’re all busy and it’s hard to keep up :-)

Thank you on BLB. There wasn’t much choice here, he’s our son and we love him, so we did what anyone would. But it is BLB who works hard to make the best of an unfortunate situation.

I saw your comment on the previous blog too, I’m thrilled that you are still committed to your writing! That truly makes me happy.

Come by whenever you have time!
