Wednesday Worthy

Yesterday Wizard called me randomly and said, “Are you sitting at your desk typing and making me money?”

“I was eating lunch.” Or possible a cookie but Wizard is strictly on a need to know basis.

“Slacker, get back to work and make me money.”

Getting annoyed, I said, “But the computer is acting up. It’s slow and I don’t want a new one. But this one is pissing me off.”

“Witch, I’m hearing whining but no typing.”

Why do I answer the phone when he calls?  I mean I can see right there on the call ID it’s him. Yet I answer the phone every single time. Sigh. I need another cookie.

Seriously my computer is being a pain. I’m trying to get through my deadlines before I buy a new one and have to move everything and learned the new operating system.

Yeah yeah I hear you all telling me to quit whining just like Wizard.

Moving on, here is our Wednesday Worthy candidate:

So what do you think?

I understand why you are continuing with said pokey computer. Moving everything over is such a pain and time consuming. Oh and a new operating system at this time would not be a good thing. You should hear me every time gmail decides to change something. Being a creature of habit change is not accepted kindly by me ;).

Oh and I too am a closet cookie eater while on the phone with hubs.

I like this guy. He’s nicely defined.

    Have a wonderful day!

The apartment is for me. On the guy he is nicely defined, but the whole spotlight thing is a little much. I eat cookies all the time, but the only person who says anything is my mom, she doesn’t like that I eat a lot and don’t seem to gain weight from it. That could be because I so a lot of hard labor when I’m working or when I get angry or in a funk because something is bothering me.

My computer crashed a while back and we had to get a new hard drive for it. Getting all my stuff back onto it took forever. I had to re-download windows, and reset the internet connections, everything. It was more annoying than anything, but I was so happy to have my computer back so I could stop stealing, I mean borrowing, my mom’s. Once you get used to the new one, after you get it, it will probably make you happy that it is not so slow and that will make up for the trouble it takes to learn it.

Oh, and next time tell Wizard that he should be making you money. After all when it comes down to it, the international sign of marriage is a man down on hands and knees offering his wife the credit card  .

Sorry your computer is giving you fits, but at least you have Wizard providing comic relief and not-so-gentle encouragement. (Which may or may not be a good thing depending on how many cookies you have available.)

This one’s not doing it for me today. Too oiled up, I think. I dunno.

OH No windows 8 the bane of the computer learning curve. I just had to get the new hard drive and it of course came with the new windows—– which is very different than the old system. I am pretty good at figuring things out. It took me 4 hours to find the way to turn it off. The side window pop ups if your mouse does not get in the right place. The online directions are a pain. I wish these things came with an old fashion manual to read.

Tell wizard that you got a new keyboard that comes with a silencer so you don’t have to hear the annoying little clicks. (Wish I had one)

Ok enough computer rant. I am going to enjoy the candidate and relax now.

Viki, gmail does that to me too! It split my email into categories and I was fit to be tied. Wizard fixed it. What’s annoying about that is that usually *I’m* the one that fixes that stuff not Wizard.

Dealing with a hubby requires cookies :-)

    Did your gutter/roof guy come?

Amanda, yay on your apartment! That’s exciting!

Redoing a hard drive is just as bad as a new computer. But not having a computer is much worse as you pointed out.

I’ll call Wizard today and ask him if he’s making me money :-) He’ll probably point to the granite counter tops though, LOL!

B.E., There’s a very limited supply of cookies. I rarely have cookies I like in the house unless I’m baking (which I’m trying not to do now). Wizard amuses himself as much as he amuses me :-)

Kat, you’re scaring me! I’m pretty sure I won’t like Windows 8 mostly because I don’t like change that slows me down.

    Enjoy the candidate :-)

    Jenn –

No, the gutter guys didn’t show up today so I have a house with no gutters. Thank heaven we aren’t due to get rain.

Yes, dealing with the hubs always requires cookies ;).

Enjoy the remainder of the day :)!

Jenn: I’m anxiously awaiting “Cage Magic”. When will we finally get Linc’s story? I sincerely dig your Wing Slayer warriors! Pretty please!!! Thanks, Debbie in Clovis CA.
