Happy Friday!

I can’t believe it’s Friday again!

My editor already sent back the second round out of edits on OBSESSION.  She’s fast! She says the books “shines.” I’m trying to believe her :-) Right now, I’m finishing small edits and weaving in a couple tiny suggestions that she had and then I’ll send off to my proofreader.

So what are you all reading? I’m having trouble finding a book I like, but I *really* think that’s more about my restless mood than to books. I’d love to hear what you’re reading!

What excellent news! Figured you were worrying for naught ;). I’m looking forward to seeing what caused you so much concern. As in the past I’m sure you nailed it when all is said and done.

I’m reading Cynthia Eden’s MINE TO KEEP right now. When I finish that I’m going for the YA COLDEST GIRL IN COLDTOWN by Holly Black. Have you already read Joan Swan’d RUSH? It was excellent.

I hope you have a really good weekend :).

Repeat after me: “My books are more awesome than I think they are.” Now, every time you begin thinking they suck, repeat that in your head. Your readers know it’s true. Your editor knows it’s true. You just need to know it’s true, too. =o)

I’m reading Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land – which is way weird, so don’t read that. But next up on my list is Debra Webb’s Ruthless. I finally got a copy! Yay! If you haven’t read that series yet, there’s a whole passel of books for you to get lost in. Also, if you’re looking for fun and quick, read Silver’s Cafe Midnight and/or That Ol’ Black Magic. They’ll totally transport you out of your restless place.

Awwww, thanks for endorsement, B.E.! Your editor, Viki, and B.E. are right, Jen, but the worry is part of your process and part of what makes you an awesome writer. But yeah…TOLD YA SO!!!!

Reading. Jiminy I have a bunch of stuff on my Kindle. JD Robb’s latest, Debra’s, Leslie Kelly w/a Leslie Smith just released her second book in her Veronica Sloan series–a futuristic crime thriller. I know there’s other stuff on the list but I can’t think right now. Trying to get through release week and then I can read this weekend!

And B.E., all of Heinlein’s stuff is weird but wonderful. STRANGER is a favorite but the reader really needs to be a SciFi fan. :D

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

Viki, in this case it’s not any one scene worrying me, but giving Kat and Sloane their “send off” without being boring. So we’ll see…

Thx for the recs! I’m going to go on a buying spree soon! I read a couple pages of OUT OF LINE by Jen McLaughlin last night and liked it. IF only I could EVER read without the TV on all the time :-)

    Have a great weekend!

B.E., I can’t! There’s no way I can say or think, My book is awesome” in any context, LOL! I can say, “My book doesn’t suck as much as I feared,” will that work?

I’ve got to read Heinlein! Thanks for the recs! I’m going to keep all these!

And I just now bought That Ole’ Black Magic! I was going to do it yesterday, but my computer locked up then I got sidetracked. I have it now!

Great recs, thank you so much!

And I’m still worrying, but I always do and I hate it :-) But thanks so much for the support!

I know you do, Jen. But we’ve all got your back and you’ve got a great team with editors, etc. to keep you on the right track. ;)

I can’t wait to read Kat and Sloane’s send off! It will be just as awesome as their beginning and middle! :D

Hi, I love your books. I just finished reading ‘Pulse’by Gail Mchugh the second book after ‘collide’. I thought it was pretty good escape reading. I’m also reading a romance novel about a male hero that is hearing impaired. It’s pretty good called ‘dangerous to know and love’.
I can’t wait to read your next book!

Hi Dina, thanks so much! I think I might have COLLIDE on my Kindle, I’ll look. I’m really interested in the hearing impaired hero, I’m going to go look that one up right now!

And thank you for the book-love!
