Happy Friday!

Another week gone! How does that happen? Insane!

This weekend, I’m escaping to a hotel for a weekend with my laptop.  Saturday I’m going to the Orange County Chapter of RWA Birthday Bash where Victoria Dahl is a speaker and I’m looking forward to that. I’m going to hang out with friends and then work, work, work.  I absolutely have to get a crap-ton of pages written.  I can do it, even on my laptop.  I don’t know how good my internet access will be.

Much to my amusement, Wizard has 110% supported this idea.  It’s like he’s trying to get rid of me or something, LOL!

Oh and I went back to the gym twice this week, yay! I’m going very slow and careful with my Achilles, but it is seriously doing great now.

OBSESSION is continuing to stay up on the charts and rankings.  I know I keep saying it, but thank you all so much! I love Kat and Sloane (and Drake). They came to me when I was in a difficult place, showing me how love, a sense of humor and patience can heal.  Now I get to share them with the world, and it’s an amazing experience.

Enough of that! Tell me what you’re doing this weekend! I always want to know :-)

I am so happy that OBSESSION has done what we all expected :). I’m going to miss those characters but I’m sure you’re writing new ones for me to love.

Have a great time at the RWA birthday bash. Sounds like you’ll have a great time.

Being locked away in your hotel should help with getting work done – no major distractions. Why is it that hotels never have good internet. Makes no sense. I think Wizard knows that you need this time and he’s a very supportive wizard ;). Who knows you may come home to clean windows (mine finally are ;)).

Middle son is going to NY today for the weekend to see a friend and is going to stop and see my mom. She is SO happy (good son). As for me, I think I’m going to do the switching of clothes from summer to winter in my drawers and stuff. Purple Heart will be getting loads of stuff soon. Other than that it will be a normal weekend here.

    Have a great time!

OH Birthday Party….. CAKE Friends and CAKE…..

    Have fun.

The Rain has changed my weekend plans. My father in law is coming down to help out my husband with some home projects. I am really glad I got the hub to ask his dad to come down. I don’t care if they get the projects done- I knew that his dad needed to see him. Like a man my husband makes his health sound better than it is, but it is not as bad as his dad is probably imagining because he has not seen him.

My son has his Cross Country practice even in the rain so I will take my daughter with me and we will find some place to be away for a while to let Hubs and his dad have some time. Who knows I might come home to a tiled entry way.

I’m so happy Obsession (and your Plus One series) has done so well. Sorry to see it end, but you did it right. =o)

Have fun at the hotel! Kick back, relax, and write.

This weekend… Well, I don’t know. Probably planting bulbs (if I make it to Walmart today and buy more), reading, watching football and baseball. I’m not committing to work because at this point I think I have to sneak up on the muse, knock her over the head, and tie her to a chair so I can get some writing done. She’s been thoroughly uncooperative lately.

Viki, How wonderful for your mom! You do have a good son :-) He’ll enjoy visiting his grandmother.

Isn’t that a great feeling to get your windows all clean? The house always feels brighter! I cleaned bathrooms last night–but it’s not the same thing :-( My windows and blinds will have to wait.

Thanks on OBSESSION! I’m looking forward to some quiet time, and I meeting BLB (youngest son) for dinner.

Wizard will be fine. He’ll eat junk food without anyone nagging him.

    Kat, CAKE!! LOLOL!!!

You’re absolutely right, it’s going to be really good for both your husband and dad this weekend. It’s very insightful and loving of you to support this–family and friend connections are so vital during these times.

I’m crossing my fingers for your tiled entry way.

    B.E., thanks!

I hate it when I have muse problems. I have yet to figure out an easy way to get past these “blocks.” More often than not, it’s sheer detective work in figuring out what is wrong, then fixing that. Good luck!

In the meantime, enjoy gardening, football, baseball and reading!

I’m so late getting around today! :( The meeting sounds like fun. Victoria is a hoot. And yay for getting away to work. I’ve thought about that a time or two.

I’ll loan my muse to you, B.E. Iffy roped me into writing a Christmas novella involving my Wolves. *sigh* I’m also winding up all the stuff I need to do for the Vegas trip next weekend. I need to find a skirt to wear and I need one more “accessory” to arrive for my character costume for the Saturday night dinner. Other than that, I’ll be watching the OU-Texas football game, my St. Louis Cardinals battling the Dodgers for the NL pennant, and writing that darn novella!

Have a great weekend, everyone! :D
