It was a low key weekend, which was nice.  Although CPA Boy and Special K are tormenting me by sending cute super cute pics of a dog they are thinking of getting. A little Min Pin that looks like a sweetheart. He’s a rescue, and I think he’s a few years old.

Who me? Jealous? Totally!

But then I got another text from Special K informing me that CPA Boy wants to name him Buttercup.

BUTTERCUP! For a boy dog! My son said this! So I did what I always do and relayed this to Wizard. Wizard got this hilariously offended look on his face,  stomped off and got his phone, then called both special K and CPA BOY’s phones and said under no circumstances where they to name this boy dog Buttercup.

And I realized two things at the point: My family is nuts (uh, DUH!)  and CPA Boy cleverly set up his dad using me and Special K.

Kudos CPA Boy! I fell right into your evil trap.

I also worked, of course. Cleaned a bit. And then last night Wizard and I went out for dinner. I was good and stuck to my chicken fajitas.

Then this showed up at the table.

brownie sundae

Probably because I ordered it.  If anyone finds my self confront can you send it back? Please? I’m running out of clothes to wear! And excuses!

How was your weekend?

Huh, what? Did you say something? I was staring at the dessert…

Was CPA Boy setting you up to bring home Buttercup? (Yes, you can so call a boy dog Buttercup. Have Wizard refer to him as BC.) Or was he just setting you up so you’d get Wizard to call him? Your family’s a hoot.

The weekend here was lots of reading and lots of sports – and some raking of the forest edge. (It’s so messy back there… I had to.) As you noticed on FB, I went ahead and sold my soul to NaNoWriMo for this year. I don’t know what I’m thinking except maybe I can finally kick my own butt into gear. ;o)

I’m with B. E. That brownie looks SO yummy.

Your guys are too much ;). They all must be so much fun to be around. As for a boy dog, Buttercup is a bit different but I’m sure he’ll be alpha enough to carry it off :). I hope photos will be shown. What is Bailey going to think?

Speaking of Bailey having to deal with someone on his turf PeeWee is not happy with kitty smell on hubs. This will be interesting when PeeWee comes to visit in a couple weeks.

I hope you have a great week!

It is scary when your kids learn what buttons to push to get you to do things. I guess your boys learned from the best- Wizard.

I got my apples this weekend so lots of apple things being made at my house. I consider Apple Pie an acceptable breakfast food. Crust is your bread. Apple is the fruit. Ice cream is your dairy. Add your favorite caffeine and start your day. I had to bake 3 pies just to get through this week.

Uhm…Genes. DNA. There’s no question of Nature vs. Nurture. Your boys get it coming and going.

Had a good weekend but got nothing done and today, which had been blocked out for writing, is throwing up roadblocks to work left and right. No bueno. :(

I now have this song as an earworm. Tell CPA Boy I shall hunt him down and hurt him! ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsqAYdFl9Bo

B.E., I wondered if they were setting me up to bring home Buttercup too. And damn, that name is gonna stick. He has a the sweetest face ever!

But he was yanking his dad’s chain just because he can. Wizard, by the way, was laughing and insulted for the little dog at the same time. CPA boy called Wizard right back and by then Wizard had given up insulted and was laughing.

I just hope they get the dog! Or I may have to get him :-)

Cognrats on signing up for NANOWRIMO! You can do it!

Viki, that brownie sundae was good!

I hadn’t thought of PeeWee!I bet he’s going to be a little put out when he comes over. And Spunk is probably going to have an opinion about Pee Wee. too. Should be interesting!

Bailey lives with Middle Son so he’s okay with it. (All three boys lived together for a long time, so it seemed like Bailey belong to them all). When it’ll get interesting is if all the dogs come here–that could be tricky. One day at a time!

Kat, no kidding! The boys are close to Wizard and know exactly how to get a reaction. The interesting thing is how even adults want their parents attention and know how to get it. But I still thought it was well played of CPA Boy :-)

Apple pie is an awesome breakfast! I love it and now I want it! Bad! Enjoy it!

That was evil, Silver! I actually clicked on the link and played it and now it’s in my head!

So sorry for those roadblocks! Money is usually full of them. Hope you can bulldoze through them!
