Weekend Roundup

This weekend, Wizard and I worried about Bailey.   His back legs or hips are hurting, possibly he hurt himself. He’s been improving over the weekend, but Middle Son will probably take him into the vet today.  The worst text from Middle Son: “He (Bailey) is just so sad.”   I wanted so much to hug them both.  Middle son and his girlfriend were handling it—they know Wizard and I will come if they need us.

Hopefully all will be well.

Moving on: Wizard and I were on the freeway when I saw his head snap around to stare at a really cool Mustang Shelby.

Wizard has had a serious case of Mustang Lust for a long, LONG time now.

I said,  “Wizard, eyes on the road.”

He laughed. “Did you see it?”

“Yep. But you were hilarious. You were even more into that car than the blonde in the store.”

His face screamed “BUSTED.” But he tried to recover. “What are you talking about?”

“Dude, when that tall blonde in shorts came in, you waked right into me!”  Wizard is rarely ever that obvious, which is why it’s funny.

His mouth tightened, but I think his neck turned red.

“And,” I couldn’t resist. “I’m putting that on my blog tomorrow.:

“You wouldn’t.”

Oh I totally would! Bwhahaha!!

Otherwise I did some work, and we’re starting a search for a new computer which is stressful. But not as stressful as worrying about Bailey and Middle Son.

How was your weekend?

Oh no, poor Bailey. I hope the vet finds that it’s nothing serious. Maybe he was stung on the hip or something. Please keep us posted as to how he’s doing. He’s such a cutie pie I hate to think of him as hurt, sad and depressed.

How I love your Wizard stories. That was so funny how you busted him. Men are too funny. They really think that we’re not very observant – how they are wrong. Did you show Wizard the post ;)?

Good luck on the computer hunt.

We didn’t do too much this weekend. Me and my boring life ;).

    Have a great day!

Aww, poor Bailey. I’ll keep positive thoughts that he just tweaked a muscle or something. Thankfully he’s too tiny for hip dysplasia. I’ve had a couple dogs with that, though, and as long as we gave them aspirins when they needed them, they did fine. :hugs:

LOL about Wizard. Poor man was just admiring her for the ascetics – like looking at a sculpture or something. It’s totally not like the car. ;o) Good luck on the computer search. I know I like my Lenovo desktop but the Kid’s Lenovo laptop fan pooped out after two years. Hubs loved his Toshiba laptop (which came highly recommended by various sites). Thank goodness for review sites.

The weekend here was warm for a change. Total change of weather from the week before. And since it was warm, I got outside! Yay! But I didn’t get a lot of work done. Loads of reading but not much writing. Oh well. I’ll get back to work today. =o)

Oh no! Poor Bailey! We went through an episode with Boone where he “forgot how to dog”, as Lawyer Guy’s office mate said. It’s like his back legs wouldn’t work. We had to put down rugs and plastic runners through the whole house so he could get around because he wouldn’t walk on bare floors. He was find after a couple of weeks and now it’s like it never happened. Hopefully, Bailey will be back to his happy self ASAP!

Wiz is so funny and soooo busted! I’m glad you shared. He deserves to be outed. ;)

Ugh on the new computer. I’ve got to consider both new laptop and desktop one of these days sooner than later. I’m leaning toward iMac rather than another Windows but… I know I’ll get another Mac Air for the laptop. I love mine but it’s old enough now it won’t upgrade to the last two OSs. :( This makes me have a sad. I need to write a best-seller so I can afford new hardware!

Happy Monday, everyone, and Jen? It sounds like the weekend off with just a little work was good for you. :D

When I am Busted I just tell my husband “You married me you didn’t bury me.”

Bailey may end up on some doggie arthritis meds. But he will be ok. they do wonderful things for pets now a days.

I had a great time with my friend. We found a good place to meet where we could talk, curse and say whatever we felt without being concerned about families around with kid or offending anyone else. We already plan to go out again at the end of the month. :)

Viki, me too on Bailey. Middle Son heard him yelp while MS was in another room. He’s pretty sure he hurt himself, maybe trying to jump on the couch or something.

I haven’t shown him the post :-) He’s around today, he can see if he wants to.

You have windows 8, right? Do you like it? We’re looking at it with a touch screen–but I’ve heard so much negative I’m not sure.

You don’t have a boring life!

B.E. Hip dysplasia was the first thing I though of. It can happen in smaller dogs, it’s just not as common. But Middle Son just now texted me that he’s doing much better now. Such a relief–he probably did injure himself.

Computers = stress. I don’t want to make the wrong decision!

Yay for the nice weather over the weekend for you.

Silver, I’ve heard of that with dogs–so weird and it’s a sudden onset, right? Glad Boone is better!

We’re doing the same thing — new desktop and laptop. I want the same operating system and everything to sync.

Kat, that sounds like a great day out with your friend! We all need that!

Wizard knows when I look, he rarely cares.

Yes Jen, I do have Windows 8 and a touch screen PC. I don’t hate 8 like so many do but I don’t always use it either. Most of the time I launch my desktop via Chrome. As for the touch screen I don’t like to use it when I’m writing because it’s uncomfortable stretching my arms out to tap the screen. For all other purposes I do use the touch screen.

The kids are probably right and Bailey hurt himself trying to jump up on the couch or something. Cassie is always after PeeWee about that so he doesn’t get hurt. He doesn’t listen very well but has only hurt himself once and that was a few years ago.

    Thanks, Viki,that’s very helpful!

I’m pretty sure now you’re right about Bailey. He’s doing much better. Middle Son sent me a picture of him in the back year, laying in his favorite sun spot with his toy. We all feel better.
