Weekend Roundup!

Wait there was a weekend? My days are getting confused!  I’m writing as fast as I can, trying to get this story out. I might make the deadline but at this point I’m not thinking about anything but the story. And I have to say this, Wizard is being AWESOME about it. He’s doing dishes, or pitching in where ever he can.

Probably because he wasn’t to retire early :-)

When I popped my head up from work and scanned Facebook I  saw an author is pulling their books off Amazon after their blog tour is over because of “spoilers reviews.” Then I saw all the freak out going on around that big announcement–and that their sales is going up significantly after that announcement. All I can say is that author as accomplished their promotional mission. Why don’t I think of these things? LOL!  I am seriously not clever enough. I’m usually thinking about my next book (or cupcake) to come up with a marketing plan like that.

In other news, we had a great time at the graduation party for our two nieces. And Wizard and I spent a little time in the pool.

Now I’m back to writing and begging the characters to stay on track. They’ve made me change this story twelve times, I’m doing it their way, so please just cooperate now!

OH!!! And I’m going to be making some cookies for a bridal shower at the end of July. If you have any suggestions, throw them out! I will ultimately end up doing what my niece (the bride) wants, but I love talking about cookies!

So how was your weekend?

Glad you had fun at the party. You needed the break. It always helps clear the head when you go have some fun.

I loved that puppy you posted on FB yesterday. That face is SO cute I could lick him up ;). Oh and speaking of posts – where is that yummy guy? He’d make a really good Wing Slayer :).

You have a real winner in Wizard. It’s so nice that he is so helpful. Love the retire early note ;).

Boy those characters have you going. Twelve times – wow. I’d sit them down and lay down the law. Hey guys listen up, it’s time to focus and let me get your story written. Maybe they listen :).

I’ll think about the cookies and give you my suggestions Wednesday. But I do see chocolate in the mix.

We didn’t look at the property on Saturday as planned. Instead we’ll go Tuesday.

    Have a great day!

Jen, do you want something easy and pretty and wedding-y? They can be white (normally) or you can add food color to make them match the bridal colors. They’re basically egg whites, sugar, chocolate chips and nuts. You make them, leave them in the oven overnight, and voila. :) Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll email the recipe. Unless other people want it and then I’ll post it here.

Weekend? Saturday was an OKRWA panel followed by very late night babysitting gig. Magic Bean Sprout is sooo freaking cute. Up early on Sunday but I was reading. Then I took a nap. And then Insomnia showed up about midnight. I managed to doze off around 6 am, but the phone rang at 9. Going to work and then consider a nap. Might well get my sleep clock totally out of sync. LOLOL

Viki, sorry you didn’t get to look at the property, but hopefully it works out for Tuesday.

OMG I loved that puppy too! He’s a wallpaper I found–I wish I’d found him in real life–I’d have talked Wizard into him. He’s too cute.

That guy is from Wicked’s FB page. They have amazing pics!

I’m thinking of a bunch of cookies. It’s a hobby for me to play with recipe ideas :-) And my niece loves chocolate!

This book will come together. It has to!

Silver, thanks but I have an egg white–merange cookie recipe that I had mini chips too and sometimes a little instant coffee and it works pretty well. I can pipe those to make them look pretty.

But others might want the recipe! You never know when we’ll need it.

Magic Bean is getting big! I can’t believe it!

So sorry about the insomnia. That is a special kind of misery, hope you get back on a routine that works for you.

Silver – I love “forgotten cookies” – YUM! The first time I had them I had taken my grandmother way “up North” in Canada to visit with her sister. When we got there my Great Noni had made us a batch of those cookies. I fell in love ;).

Jenn – I was thinking of this lemon cookie my grandma used to make. I hope I can find the recipe ;).
