Happy Friday!

So if you’ve seen me on FB you know my friend’s son is dog sitting for a woman who breeds French Bulldogs. These are two of the puppies:

Frenchie PuppyFrenchie Puppy 2

I want one! Or two! But both are sold, so I’m out of luck. Plus, Wizard is mean…like really mean. He keeps saying no, or trying to say no but when he looks at these pictures, he can’t help but smile. So I’m cooking dinner the other night, and I said:

“Wizard, what if I have a contest on FB to name our new puppy. Wouldn’t that be cool?”

He jerked his head up from reading the paper (he reads an actual newspaper-remember those?) “No way. We’re not letting other people name our dog.”

I started talking fast before he realized he’d fallen into my trap. “We could just have a contest for suggestions. I’ll pick a winner, but we don’t have to use it. Or it could be the dog’s middle name.”

He shook his head. “No. They’ll name the dog something weird.  We should name out own…wait.” He frowned all serious like. “We’re not getting a dog.”

“Too late, you just said–”

“Nope. that won’t hold up in court. You used your witch-tricks.”

Laughing now because he was so put out that he’d fallen for it, I said, “Go ahead, tell the judge that I used witch tricks on you. I dare you.”

“Doesn’t matter the puppies are already sold. This conversation is moot.”

Dang. But I’m not giving up. These puppies are now the screen savers on the computers in our house. Eventually there will be more puppies that will need a home Bwhahaha!!! Although in all seriousness, we probably do better with an older dog.  But it’s fun to torture Wizard!

Okay in other news, I wanted to let you know that Books-n-Kisses is featuring Writers Tips and Tricks all month. That link should take you there. Mine will be up on September 23rd I think. I put a reminder on my phone so I can tell you guys and give you the direct link.

I don’t have any big plans for the weekend. I’m working to get back into the Wing Slayer world (also I need to update my website about the Wing Slayers), plus I need to clean and do some planning for a small party in a few weeks. Oh and my niece’s wedding is coming up in two weeks.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Those puppies are so cute :). I love the banter between you two. Wizard fell into your trap so nicely too. It’s a shame he caught on ;). Maybe after he’s settled into being home during the week he’ll get the “need” for a dog.

Good luck with the cleaning. That’s what I’ll be doing too as well as getting prepared for hubs to be home all the time starting Tuesday. I’ll also be spending a good chunk of the weekend trying to figure out insurance since we will no longer have any. Oh boy.

I hope Linc doesn’t bug you too much this weekend. Have a great one!

You should get on the mailing list for a French Bulldog Rescue. I could get a link, or two. You know, just in case…

Weekend plans… I’m rereading all my Moonstruck books to get the series bible updated. I have #FIGURE THIS OUT spots in the first draft of BLUE MOON that will need filling in during edits. I did hit The End yesterday and I’m pretty pumped about the last chapter and the ending. The first half? It pretty much sucks but that’s okay. It’s done and fixable. I may bake. Or not. OUTLANDER Saturday night. Baseball. College football. Sleep.

The Wingslayers have been missed! So glad we’ll get new stories. Tell Linc the poker game is at my place and I have cookies. ;)

What Silver said. Plus, you might locate some French bulldogs on Petfinder.com. Just sayin’. ;o)

Heh, you totally trapped Wizard with your witchy tricks. Awesome.

No big plans here. I’m sooo close to having this rewrite done I can taste it. Plus, I still need to do that proofreading and get those submissions out. I’m trying not to acknowledge that fear is making me drag my feet. I need to suck it up and just do it.

The puppies are sweet. the best way to get an animal into the household over a spouse’s objections is to have some one you can’t say no to give you one as a gift. Yes I am speaking from experience.

Weekend usual Kids mom can you take me …… Track meet…. Library…. Clean house….. Grocery shopping….. Sometime in between it all SLEEP.

Oh Viki, we’re going to have to do that with insurance too. Not. Fun. I’m pretty sure you have some of the catastrophic care concerns, as well as day to day health care concerns that I do. But we’ll figure it out.

I avoid cleaning too much these days. I looked into hiring someone to help me once or twice a month but that didn’t work out either :-( Cleaning sucks.

    Have a great weekend!

Silver, maybe poker and cookies at your place will get Linc out of the cage he’s currently in :-)

Congrats on hitting the end! If you’re that happy with your second half, then you can fix the first half. Those FIGURE THIS OUT spots usually stop me cold as I’m writing. So frustrating. Hope you get it all sorted out!

    Enjoy your weekend!

B.E., I’m all too familiar with petfinder, LOL!

I was surprised Wizard fell into that trap. He’s usually sharper than that, but I think he was distracted reading the paper. I was amused.

Fear is tough to beat. My best advice it to just keep going, but it’s easier to say than to do it. Be brave, B.E.. All of us believe in you!

Kat, so glad that worked for you! I’m not that clever, LOL! Plus if I was that committed, I could drag him to the animal shelter a couple times, he feels bad for all those dogs who need a home that he’d cave in :-)

Hope you have find time to sleep and enjoy your weekend!
