Weekend Roundup
I’m back to a crazed work schedule, desperately hoping to get CAGED MAGIC back to the editor next week. Adding to the stress, the restoration work on our kitchen is supposed to begin Tuesday. Should be…interesting. But I did get a break this weekend, baking cupcakes and going to CPA Boy’s to celebrate his birthday since we had to cancel the previous week. All the kids came, and we got to play with these two:

Awwww. Furbabies! Fingers crossed that there isn’t much for the editor to find. So, are you getting new cabinets out of the deal or are they putting up the old cabinets? I wonder about these things. Those cupcakes look amazing. I got a sugar high just looking at them. ;o)
The weekend here was good. Hubs finished reading my next book and he loved it. He said it was his favorite of mine so far. (He doesn’t read my stuff until it’s ready or nearly ready for publication.) We also walked around enjoying the property and patting each other on the back for all our hard work. Life is good. Today, I have a yearly doctor thing wherein they’re supposed to draw blood for all those tests gals our age are supposed to get. Bleh. I should probably go get ready, but I’m dragging my feet. I hate doctors.

PUPPIES! Of course, Cooper is looking at my monitor and thinking, DESSERT!–and it’s not the puppies!
How fun that boys, girls, pups, and Witch and Wizard all congregated. Ugh, on the kitchen but hide away somewhere or leave the Wiz to deal and go find a quiet place to work without interruption.
I never know how to launch a book so I just tossed NIGHT SHIFT out there and now I’m trying to do all that writerly stuff to get it notices. Had Stormageddon (Only and Baseball Boy’s new name for the Sprout) Saturday afternoon. He’s a trip!

B.e., I’m right tehre wtih you hating going to the doctors too. I have better things to do with my time!
Frustration is settingin over here big time with the kichen. Anyway, yes they’ll put up the old cabinets and restrain them (I think). But we need them to call and tell us WHEN.
Awww, it’s such greta feedback that your husband loves your book! The best so far is even better!
And you totally deserve to pat yourselves on the back for all your hard work.

Too funny on Cooper. He can’t have the cupcakes since they’re are chocoalte. We’ll have to make him some speical doggy ones
We had a great time with the pups. Cookie used to be super skittish (she was abandoned and underweight when they got her) but man, she’s thriving now and getting very soical. I was so impressed. Corky is a total flirt and allll the girls love him.

Those cupcakes look yummy! Did you add a little extra Kaluha? So glad you were able to get together to celebrate CPA boys birthday.
Now you have to get that dress shopping back on the list ;).
Didn’t do too much this weekend. Got stuff together for Purple Heart but that’s about it.
It was a bit chilly here so all of hubs plants are just waiting to get outside. He has them lined up in front of the windows (he’s teasing them with the sun;)).

Viki, I’ve got dress shopping lined up for next weekend
That’s right you said ti snow last week, I think. You’re plants are safe inside for the moment until it warms.
The pups were so much fun and so was seeing everyone. I didn’t think the cupcakes needed extra Kalhua. I had planned to put some in the mousse but changed my mind after tasting the cupcakes.
