Wednesday Worthy!

I’m so sorry I didn’t respond to comments on Monday. In two words, Monday Sucked. In more words, Monday Sucked Big Fat Donkey Dongs. But Tuesday was soooo much better and I expect today will be fine too.

Back to Monday, the painters didn’t show up (car trouble) after I’d gotten up before 5 am to shower and get some work done before they arrived. It pretty much went downhill from there with various things, including three and a half hours in the dentist office working on a bridge for the tooth I had extracted. Not Fun.  For anyone wondering, after long, endless, boring discussions with my doctors, we ruled out an implant due to my medical history. Everyone was on the same page with this decision EXCEPT my oral surgeon who assured me I was making a terrible mistake.

Whatever, now I’m committed to my terrible mistake :-) On the upside, I now have a lovely new temporary bridge and can smile without being self conscious. (Wizard swore no one could see the missing molar, but it bugged me.) I’ll get the permanent one in two weeks, and that visit will be much faster and easier.

And the painters made made it out yesterday — the kitchen is all finished! So happy about that. And I do want to that despite this one glitch, the guys we’ve had here have been great. Seriously.

Even better? I doing my final edit on CAGED MAGIC and should have it in on Friday, barring zombie attack, fire or food poisoning type events.  Fingers crossed :-) And while I’m talking about CAGED MAGIC, my assistant, Anna, just put it up on Goodreads for anyone who wants to add it to their reading list. Click here to find it.

All that said, I’m truly sorry I didn’t respond to comments on Monday. You guys are a priority to me, and I don’t like the feeling that I’ve ignored you. I’ll do better!

So…maybe this picture of our Wednesday Worthy Candidate will make it up to you:

What do you think? Is he worthy?

:hugs: Don’t sweat it, Jenn. We know you love us. We also know you’re up to your ass in alligators right now.

I’m so happy your kitchen is finished! Screw the oral surgeon. Especially if it’s a freakin’ molar. He just wants you to have the more expensive procedure. SQUEE for Caged Magic! I saw Anna post on FB that it was on Goodreads, so I got right over there and clicked ‘Want to Read’. Accidental Death’s listing is going up on Friday – along with the big cover reveal on Omnimystery News. The waiting is killing me, but I’m trying to maximize my marketing. (For whatever that’s worth.)

This guy… He’d probably be worthy, but… Ugh. The pose is killing me.

What B.E. said about the teeth. Yay for rehabbed kitchen! Even if we don’t spend much time in the kitchen, it still seems to be the heart of the home and having torn up is just…UGH!

I’ve got CAGED marked to read. Yayayayay!

As for the guy? Hrmmm…is he puttin’ ’em on or takin’ ’em off…? Inquiring minds want to know. And yeah. He’s worthy. ;)

B.e., aw thanks for understanding :-) Anna put CAGED MAGIC up on Goodreads for me which helps so much! She’s pretty awesome.

Can’t wait to see your new cover!! Clever to maximize marketing opportunities.

Hopefully I’ll see a FB post that when your book goes up on Goodreads! There’s so much in my feed I miss, I hate that.

Silver OFF!! I’m positive he’s taking them off :-)

Honestly this tooth thing worried the crap out of me. But now I’m fine with it.

I’m so happy the kitchen is done and I don’t have to have any more workers (nice as they are!) in my house.

I’ll try to remember to let you know personally, Jenn. I know FB drops the ball sometimes.

I am so glad that Tuesday went so much better than Monday. Wow, it must feel so good to finally have the kitchen back together. Are you baking up a storm now ;).

Your poor mouth. It seems like the oral surgeon needs a kick in the pants. Man, he does know your health history, right? You know you made the best decision for you so don’t let him get to you.

I really can’t wait to get Caged Magic. You do such a good job teasing us ;). I’ll be off to add it to Goodreads in a moment.

So yesterday the window morons were out again and the windows still were not right. That’s 8 different times they’ve been out with different windows. I don’t see how they can keep screwing it up but they do. One of the guys tried to tell me that I was lucky that these were Champion windows because no other company would keep coming out. He said it with a straight face too. So I looked him in the face and said, “No other company would have F’d it up this bad and they wouldn’t have needed to come back.” He wasn’t happy with me and I didn’t really care. So now it’s another 6 to 8 weeks for the three or four windows to be made AGAIN (depending on what they decide). I’ve really had it and am not nice them at all anymore.

Other than that all is good :).

    Have a great afternoon!

Viki, that is freaking unbelievable! I’m so sorry! How can anyone screw it up this many times? They need to refund you a percentage of the cost of the windows and apologize. You can’t be nice anymore, they aren’t responding to it. Man I’m livid for you!

The kitchen is fantastic. Wizard is asking me to bake but I can’t until this book is in. He understands :-)

The oral surgeon is the one who’d profit off the implant, and even though he’s an MD too, he tried to convince me he knows more than I do. Implied I might be a little behind the times and not medically up to speed. I’m actually more mad at myself for second guessing my decision than him.

Keep me updated on your windows!
