Quick Rant and then It’s Friday!

This is one of those blogs that are that has two sides, first a rant and then I totally flip-flop into fun chatter.

First up the rant: I detest people who maliciously hurt animals for no reason. It’s disgusting and repulsive coward-trolls who would do something this awful. Someone in So Cal is pouring battery acid on dogs. WARNING: I’m going to provide you with a link to a golden retriever who had battery acid poured on him — it’s hard to see so only click if you are up to it. The point of the story is this: Awesome people are taking care of this amazing dog and he’s making a full recovery. He will go to a home where he is loved. Evil people could NOT destroy this dog’s spirit. As horrible as this story is, this dog will have a happy ending. Here is the link but again, only click on it if you can handle it.

I wish this dog’s happy ending was with me :-) But I honestly think he’ll get the absolute best home for him. I’m going to check in on this story just in case he doesn’t end up in a home, then I’ll drive way the heck out there and meet him. But I really think he’ll find the right home for him, probably with people better qualified than me to handle any special needs he may end  up having.

Okay…now for the flip side we’re going to leave the rant and go onto happier things. Yay it’s Friday! I know, it’s hard to care after reading a story like that, but we don’t let evil ruin our lives, right? So I have a Wizard story. You know how you all think Wizard is the sane one in our relationship? Oh come on, admit it. You’re all secretly thinking I’m the crazy one.

Well…

Last night Wizard was talking about my book CAGED MAGIC, only he was calling the hero Gabe. I was reading at the time, so I heard his mistake but ignored it.

Wizard, however, caught himself. “Wait, Gabe isn’t the right name, is it, Witch?”

“Nope.” I kept on reading.

“What is the right name?” Wizard asked.

I gave up reading. “Linc.”

“Right,  Linc.” Then he frowned. “So who is Gabe?”

“You’re thinking of Gabe Pulizzi from way back to the Samantha Shaw Series.” In case you’re wondering, the first book in that series was Dating Can Be Murder — I think it came out about 13 years ago. Time flies!

“Oh. Right!” Wizard said.  “Now I remember.”

I picked up my Kindle, thinking I could, you know, read.  In peace. Without answering a two million questions. But nope.

“You know what?” Wizard asked.

“What?” I was distracted because I was reading about SWAT officers who are also werewolves. Hot, sexy, werewolves. I may not have been giving Wizard my full attention.

“You need to invite all your characters over for dinner.”

“Um…what?” I put down my Kindle. Wizard had all my attention now.

“That way, I can talk to them all, get to know them better and I won’t get confused.” He looked at me with total sincerity.

I blinked. Then blinked again. “You want me to invite all the characters in my books over to our house for dinner?”

He nodded. “We’ll have a dinner party. We can make ribs and chicken. No wait, there’s a lot of them, maybe fajitas would be easier.” He went on rambling off plans until I burst out laughing.

SERIOUSLY THIS HAPPENED! Wizard said it and I wasn’t even drinking wine! I was just sitting there, minding my own business, when Wizard said this!

Now who is the crazy one??? Hmm???

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Since you ended with happy, I’ll start with it. ROFL… Wizard is awesome. And you’re awesome. And I’d pay to see a transcript of the dinner party with all your characters. What a zoo that would be. But fun.

Now, as to the people who hurt animals for fun. They’re not human. Not sure what they are, but they are not human beings. I hope the authorities catch those a-holes and lock them away where they can’t be around decent folk ever again. They’re bent into a wicked shape. Like the people who hurt my Max. Stupid, senseless, cruel…

And speaking of Max, he’s alerting me that it’s time for his breakfast. Have a great day, Jenn, and we’ll all keep our fingers crossed that the dog in the story has a happy rest of its life. :hugs:

I love Wiz. But don’t tell him. We wouldn’t want it to go to his head. But like B.E., I’d love to see the transcript. Man, all that alpha testosterone floating around. Maybe you should invite some of the heroines to pay attention to Wiz because all the heroes would be all over you! ;)

I have to believe there is a special level of hell for people like that. Here’s hoping for the Goldie’s full recovery and a forever home that loves him silly. Y’all will get a pup sooner or later. The right one will arrive “on the doorstep” and you’ll know. Karma is like that, yeah she is. ;)

    Have a great weekend, witches!

B.e, that dinner party would end up with some big drama (plot twist that creates massive conflict!) and everyone would look at me to fix it. A huge brawl would break out, the witches would do some serious magic…and Wizard would be laughing because he’d have started the trouble to begin with!

Max is so lucky to have you now. But he still suffered in the past because some people are just wrong. I can’t understand it. I once stepped on Bailey’s foot by accident and nearly cried. (Bailey was fine, and never holds a grudge). I’ll never understand that evil.

Silver, no worries I won’t tell him :-) And I’m pretty sure most of the guys in my books want to kill me, not be all over me, LOL!

It looks like the dog will heal, and I’m happy about that. I know people will be lining up to have him in their lives :-)

Wizard is too much fun. When you have this dinner party are you going to have them all dress in character? Man, that could be one awesome HOT dinner party. Aren’t you glad he retired and can be stress free and the two of you have so much fun?

People, let me restate – MONSTERS make me so sick. If I could, I’d subject each and every one of these inhuman scum to the enjoyment of being coated in honey and placed over a fire ant hill. Yes, a horrible death, well deserved.

On a happier note, it’s the weekend. I hope you have a really nice one :).

Viki, LOL! I’m staying far away from that dinner party :-) But I am glad Wizard’s retired and more relaxed.

I can’t argue with you on the people/Monsters who do such awful things. I try to keep this blog fun, but sometimes, my anger spills over.

Hope you have a great weekend too!

I was sure someone was going to ask about the SWAT werewolves. Can you share the book title?

There is a special place in hell for people who are mean to animals and children. I have to believe that they will get theirs in the end. Peace and love to everyone who can spare time and space in their hearts for rescues. (Note: my 2 cats are rescues and 1 came from a horrible situation. It has taken years, but she if finally a happy kitty).

Wizard is perfectly delightful when he gets on a role. Cherish the laughter.

Have a wonderful weekend to everyone.

Labrat11, the title of the book is WOLF TROUBLE by Paige Tyler. I believe this is the second book in her series, the first one is HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF according to the description on Amazon. it was a cute read.

All true on cruel people and animals or children. How we treat any person or animal is a reflection of our souls.

Thank you on Wizard! He keeps me laughing :-) We try very hard not to take each other for granted (although we do at times, because we are both very human with all the usual flaws).

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
