Happy Friday!

I’ve been really looking forward tonight. It’s our anniversary and Wizard is taking me to a restaurant on the beach. He’s been there for work, but I haven’t and he’s been planning this for a couple of weeks. Showing me the menus from several places until he decided this is the one.

I love that about him (along with a million other things). He’s always been the guy who will plan something, pick up a phone and make a reservation. No matter how it turns out, it’s special because he tried. I don’t care about gifts, this is what matters to me — that he cares enough to make the effort even after all these years. When I think back to how young I was; 18 when I met him, and 20 when we married, I am vividly aware that we are lucky. Wizard is truly the love of my life. It’s not always perfect or easy, but it’s real and I can count on him every single day.

And then Saturday I get to see a friend for lunch so I’m doubly happy!

On the writing front, I’m feeling my way around the new book (not ready to talk about it–you all know how crazy my process is), and juggling some promotion for the Wing Slayer Series which is going really well.

So what are your weekend plans?

Congrats! He sounds so sweet, I know my dad sends my mom flowers and takes her out to dinner for their anniversary or Valentine’s Day so awww.
Weekend wise I’m going to get the materials I need to make everyone’s Christmas presents this year, I had the brilliant idea to make something instead of just buying something. Well, except for my nephew he gets cars cause he’s 3 and I have no idea what I could make him that he could use, and I know he’ll love the cars, we trip over them he has so many. But that’s all, just a jump on the holidays.

Happy Anniversary! I’m so happy for you both. :hugs:

I don’t know if you saw on FB, but we had to let Max go on Wednesday. Finally getting to a place where I feel capable of focusing on something else, so this weekend has to be hard-target working if I want to have BloodFlow up for pre-order next Friday. Today, though, I have to go donate all his canned food (and there’s a lot of it) to a local rescue organization and then get some groceries. Then I’ve got to finish the edits on this thing, do the formatting, etc. All I want to do, though, is curl up in bed and sleep.

Happy Anniversary, Witch and Wizard! Y’all are so sweet and still so romantic and so much in love after all the years. May your love always be there and may you have a millennium in which to enjoy each other.

    B.E., hugs again.

Amanda, cars are good. Or you might make him a car holder. Like one of those over the back of the door shoe holders, only with slots designed for toy cars. And give him a car to go in it. :)

I’m sort of in writing limbo. Mr. HQEd called last week and I’m getting notes on the proposal of the next book. It’s due the end of the month and he was talking about extending the deadline. Rut ro. I’d had plans of writing on it. I have cover issues on a previously issued digital book that I’m putting into print. Ordered the print proof to see if it’s as messed up as the on-line proof shows. I guess I’ll go to the next project while I’m waiting to hear. There’s college football, chilly weather, and I should do some yardwork. We’ll see. I may just stay under the covers and read. And drink coffee. :D

    Have a great weekend, witches!

Amanda, thank you on Wizard :-) He’s sweet with a streak of wicked in him.

That’s wonderful that you’re making gifts this year! It’s a lot of work, but they will love them. And your nephew will be thrilled to have more cars to play with then leave laying around for you all to step on.

    Have a great weekend!

Oh B.E, I’m so sorry about Max. I didn’t see it on FB. I haven’t been on much and you know how the FB feed is. What a sad time for you guys, I’m just so sorry. Big hugs.

This weekend you need to take care of yourself and forget work. Max was a huge part of your life, it’s going to take a little time to say goodbye.

I’ll be thinking of you this weekend.

Silver, thank you for the nice words!

You have a lot coming at you with notes and snafus. I hate those days/weeks. I’m thinking the notes won’t be that extensive, it just sounds scary when they start offering to extend deadlines. And the other issues are frustrating time sucks. Plus now you have to wait for the proof book to check it and figure out what exactly is right or wrong.

    You need a weekend off!

    Oh, have a WONDERFUL anniversary!!!
I know how you feel BTW Bub is, in every sense, my rock. Is marriage a fairytale, no but I’d take real every day of the week!

Plans this weekend… sigh. I have 6 BJD faces to paint, a sewing project to finish, a sculpt modification and writing so yeah, I’m swamped. Not sure why I always overburden myself. I keep saying I’m gonna cut back but then someone asks to commission me, I get flattered and think of the $ and say yes. Somebody shoot me.

Happy Anniversary! You’re going to have a lovely time tonight. The sound of the ocean in the background – how romantic :). You two are so fun.

Have a great time with your friend tomorrow too :).

Our anniversary is Monday so we’re going out tomorrow. We’ve enlisted the 23 yr old as our driver ;). He gets a really great meal out of the deal :).

    Have a great weekend!
