Wednesday Worthy

I’m going to try to put a post up on Friday, but if I don’t, then I want to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope that 2016 is a year filled with joy and success for all of us!

Now let’s go to Wednesday Worth in Review. I’ve gone through and picked a few that got a good response. Now it’s up to you:

Okay I’m kidding on #5 :-) But if you had to choose #1, 2, 3 or 4, which would you choose?

And again, if I don’t post on Friday, Jan 1st, have a great New Year! I’m going to be traveling, getting in mischief, plus instigating shenanigans and may not get back to this blog until Friday, January 8th.

Weekend Roundup

In all the holiday craziness, I only took one picture.

Bailey visits christmas 2015

Of course it’s Bailey dog.  Here he is with the toy Santa brought him for Christmas. Bailey is ridiculously easy to please, one $4.00 squeaky toy totally made his day. He carried it everywhere. In this picture, he’d been sleeping and I woke him up to take the shot. The look on his face is the ultimate patience of a dog putting up with humans and their weirdness.

All in all, Christmas was great. The dinner I cooked that night…not so much. Basically we ended up dining on soggy tamales with too spicy filling and the spanish rice came out in a soggy clump. However Biker Witch (my sister) saved the meal by bringing two awesome pies. She managed to find the elusive boysenberry pie and a lemon cheesecake. We ate a lot of pie, LOL!

Wizard and I also went to see the movie SISTERS. We thought it was pretty funny, and one scene in there had us laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe. If you haven’t seen it, I don’t want to ruin it.

This week I need to work but I also am getting ready for a vacation. My writing has taken a back seat to the holidays, family and a million things. Yesterday Wizard was gone and I thought I’d have the whole day–then Youngest Son (BLB) came by and I ended up talking to him forever.

However I worked last night so that’s something! Everything got so off track after wizard got sick, it’s frustrating beyond words. But all that said, I’m looking forward to 2016 and launching this new series, plus Ethan’s book in the 2001 Dark Nights collection and I’m sincerely hoping I can writing Eli’s book for the Wing Slayer Hunters.

How was your Christmas and weekend?

Happy Holidays! & News!

First, my news. As you may have seen all around social media yesterday, I’m thrilled to join join Mari Carr, KL Grayson, Riley Hart, Michelle St. James, Skye Jordan, Kennedy Layne, Angel Payne, CD Reiss, and Rebecca Yarros as one of the 1,001 Dark Nights Discovery Authors this coming year!

This amazing new opportunity by 1,001 Dark Nights—created by the wonderful Liz Berry and M.j. Rose—will feature two 1001 Discovery Authors in each of the bundles releasing in 2016.

My novella, which will be Ethan’s story from the Plus One Chronicles, will release in the Dec 2016 bundle.

This news was an early Christmas present for me! I’m so touched and honored that I was nominated for this! It’s a dream come true, and so surreal. I found out on a Sunday a couple weeks ago and was totally shocked. I had no idea I had been nominated until I was selected. It’s just absolutely surreal. I spoke to Liz on the phone and still couldn’t believe it was happening. I’m going to write my heart out and try to live up to the amazing opportunity!

Now onto the holidays! Friday is Christmas so I won’t be here on the blog, however I’ll check in next week. In the meantime, I wanted to say to all of you:

Wishing You All A Magical Holiday Filled With Love And Happy Surprises!

Weekend Roundup, The Short Version

On Saturday, we celebrated Christmas with Wizard’s side of the family — it was so much fun! Sunday I had a sore throat that I’m hoping vanishes by the time this post goes up. I don’t have time to be sick (like anyone ever does!), but it’s probably just a sinus/allergy thing.  It’s also my excuse for a short blog today, I’m going to try to get some rest. Okay,  that’s not exactly true. Wizard was gone today and I’ve been working all day so I’m actually going to hit the couch before he gets home and convince him I’ve been resting :-) He’ll totally believe me (NOT!).

I know everyone is super busy this week, but if you have a chance to check in, I’d love to hear how your weekend was.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday!!! One more weekend until Christmas! I’m trying to write about all the shopping, baking, wrapping, planning, and dealing with other stuff. Naturally, very little writing is getting done. But on the upside of things, next week after the 22nd, I can tell you guys some super fun news :-) I can’t wait!

But for now, let’s have some fun and play, “Pick your Santa Bulldog!”

Number 1 is me when I’m tired after baking, shopping or writing.

Number 2 is me when I’m feeling wicked (Wizard knows allll about that, LOL).

Number 3 is me and Christmas Goodies.

Number 4 is me trying to write and worrying about this book and series! I way over complicated the plot and must fix it. I hope I can! I love this book and series, and I want so much to get it right.

So which bulldog would you choose? Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Stuff

No Wednesday Worthy Hunk today.

What a week! So Monday was nonstop running trying to get shopping done. That came to an abrupt halt when I had a very minor fender bender in a parking lot. But everyone is fine, it’s really more of a hassle/inconvenience than anything big. By Monday night, I was so done all the Christmas stress and said, “Let’s go Toys for Tots shopping!”

Wizard was all over that. I love it, but he’s ridiculous! As soon as we got to the store, he’s like, “We need two baskets.”

I’m trying to keep a straight face with my accountant husband who has a strict budget for everything. “Two?”

He frowns. “Think we need three carts?”

I laughed. He wasn’t kidding which made it funnier. We settled on two carts and had a blast picking out toys. To his credit, he did keep a running total in his head (it’s his scary super power–he does math in his head).

Here’s our haul:

Toys for Tots 2015

It’s hard to see it all here, but this gives you an idea. We’ll take it all to the drop off center today. This is truly our Christmas Fun.

Hopefully I’ll get the rest of my shopping done soon!

How’s your week going?

Weekend Roundup

My weekend looked like this:

Kermit typing

I’m trying to get as much writing done as I can, but it’s not enough! My process sucks but I love this book even when I hate it :-)

In other news, we got our tree up, I’ve made a dent in Christmas shopping and finalized some Christmas plans. It looks like Bailey will be spending a couple days over Christmas with us, which always makes us happy.

How was your weekend?
