Weekend Roundup

In all the holiday craziness, I only took one picture.

Bailey visits christmas 2015

Of course it’s Bailey dog.  Here he is with the toy Santa brought him for Christmas. Bailey is ridiculously easy to please, one $4.00 squeaky toy totally made his day. He carried it everywhere. In this picture, he’d been sleeping and I woke him up to take the shot. The look on his face is the ultimate patience of a dog putting up with humans and their weirdness.

All in all, Christmas was great. The dinner I cooked that night…not so much. Basically we ended up dining on soggy tamales with too spicy filling and the spanish rice came out in a soggy clump. However Biker Witch (my sister) saved the meal by bringing two awesome pies. She managed to find the elusive boysenberry pie and a lemon cheesecake. We ate a lot of pie, LOL!

Wizard and I also went to see the movie SISTERS. We thought it was pretty funny, and one scene in there had us laughing so hard we couldn’t breathe. If you haven’t seen it, I don’t want to ruin it.

This week I need to work but I also am getting ready for a vacation. My writing has taken a back seat to the holidays, family and a million things. Yesterday Wizard was gone and I thought I’d have the whole day–then Youngest Son (BLB) came by and I ended up talking to him forever.

However I worked last night so that’s something! Everything got so off track after wizard got sick, it’s frustrating beyond words. But all that said, I’m looking forward to 2016 and launching this new series, plus Ethan’s book in the 2001 Dark Nights collection and I’m sincerely hoping I can writing Eli’s book for the Wing Slayer Hunters.

How was your Christmas and weekend?

Yay Bailey! What a good boy. Sorry your Christmas dinner didn’t turn out so great. But hurray for pie! Don’t worry, you’ll get back on track. I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings for you. All good things, I hope. :hugs:

Christmas was quiet. We ate like pigs, laid around like dogs, and tried not to turn into ducks with all this rain. We’re okay because we live near the top of the hill, but it’s freaknasty out there. Hubs and I watched the entirety of the Harry Potter movies – however many hours that is – over the course of the past two days. Now I have to get back to work.

B.E., We ate like pigs too :-) But so sorry for the deluge. I’ve seen the rain, snow and tornadoes going on–it’s bad out there. It’s just cold here which I don’t mind.

Hope you enjoyed the HP Movies!

You’ll get back to work! I was up at 5:30 working now I ‘m off to do endless errands. Have a great Monday!

Oh I feel bad for you on Christmas dinner. But pies are always a good thing ;). Where did Biker Witch find the boysenberry pie? Did it meet Wizard’s approval?

Happy to hear that all in all your Christmas was a good one.

Our Christmas went well. After hubs and I went to church Christmas Eve we met all the “kids” at a Chinese place for dinner and then back to the house for gifts. It was all quiet nice. Christmas day I didn’t feel all that well and just kind of vegged.

Now on the New Years. You know, I’m really looking forward to January and things to settle down.

Bet you’re having fun planning your vacation. You guys all deserve one. You had so much going on this past year and Wizard having been ill, you all need to have some stress free days together.

I love Bailey :). Our furry kids enjoyed their toys too :).

    Have a great afternoon :)!

Viki, are you feeling better now? I’m glad you had a good Christmas but sorry you weren’t feeling your best. But I know you were going non-stop so it’s easy to get a bit rundown.

I’m with you on looking forward to things settling down. I spent all day running around :-(

On the upside, I’m not having to plan much for the vacation, Special K is doing most of it. Wizard is planning the second half of our vacation and I’m just nodding a lot, LOL!

Did your kitty have a good Christmas? How about PeeWee?

Jenn, I’m fine. I was just really tired and every joint hurt on Christmas day. Thought I was getting sick but must have been exhaustion.

PeeWee had a wonderful Christmas and Sunday was his birthday, he turned 10. Hubs and I went to visit him while his mom and dad were out. He was so much fun.

My kitty had a great Christmas too. He got two new mice and a ball with blinking lights inside of it ;).

How lucky to have Special K. All that nodding though, be careful ;). You guys really do deserve this getaway.

    Have a great evening!
