Wednesday Worthy

My website was down off and on yesterday, so getting a post up has been a challenge. Hopefully the blog will cooperate and let me finally get this posted. So the good news is the tile is all done and we’re happy with it. I put a picture of the stacked stone fireplace surround up on my FB here if you’d like to see it. Now we get a few days break before the doing the carpet next week.

The bad news–Bailey is not feeling well. As I’m writing the blog, my son called and let me know Bailey’s hip pain flared up suddenly again. Wizard is on his way there to pick up Bailey, so by the time you all read this, Bailey will be here with us. I may take him to the vet if he doesn’t feel better by tomorrow (I asked my son if that was okay, and he said yes.) I know they are really torn about leaving Bailey right now, but they aren’t going far and I can reach them if Bailey needs them so I urged them to go. Poor Bailey, getting older really sucks.

Now for Wednesday Worthy Candidate. I pulled this guy out of my files. What do you think?

handsome muscular man

Is he worthy?

Oh, poor Bailey! I can’t remember, is he on baby aspirins? I know those really helped Max and regular aspirins were a staple for our family dog when we were growing up. (Big dog with hip dysplasia.) :hugs: Getting older does indeed suck.

Yep, this is a worthy one. =o)

Gorgeous tile and stone and at least Bailey will have a peaceful time with his grandpeople. :) I hope he feels better soon. Getting old DOES suck!

    I agree with B.E. Yup. Worthy! :D

    Happy Hump Day!

B.E., he’s on dog aspirin and it really does help. He slept okay last night, but he doesn’t want to walk around or move too much. But he will get up and walk if I ask him to. Sleep is probably the best thing right now anyway.

Yay for this candidate being worthy!

Silver, thanks on the tile and stone. We’re happy even if we’re tired and sore :-)

Getting older is definitely making Bailey sad. But I suspect he’ll feel better by tomorrow if we keep up the aspirin, rest, and having him move around every couple hours to stretch a bit (as long as he’s willing to get up, I don’t force him).

Congrats on your RWA Service Award!! You really deserved the honor and I’m thrilled for you!

Oh poor Bailey dog :(. Getting older really does rot! Good to know that the aspirin is helping. Sleep and rest in general will be good for him but I can imagine he wants to get those lizards ;). Does he like the tile?

The fireplace looks lovely. I still can’t get over how all that was done in 4 days. You certainly got a hold of a fantastic crew. Sure wish I had that success when doing things here ;).

    Yes, he is worthy :).

Have a great day and give Bailey an extra rub from me :).

Viki, Bailey could care less about the tile, LOL! He’s just not himself. He tries to go look for lizards but can only last about two minutes then he gives up and goes back to his bed. Poor guy.

It was two tile guys, and they worked the butts off. They were meticulous too. We were impressed. But what you went through with your windows was insane. Seems like they should have refunded your costs for that fiasco. So frustrating!

Hope you have a great day too!

Oh, poor puppy – it’s never fun watching our furry/feathered babies suffer :(

Yays on all the home improvements though, I’ve been eyeing them on FB! Hope all continues to go well.
