Wednesday Worthy

I took a break from writing yesterday and watched Unique Sweets (LOVE that show) while I ate my plain boring snack of healthy almonds. Wizard was doing something on his computer when I asked: “So if I call in a bomb threat to a hotel, would they evacuate? Like the whole hotel?”

Wizard said, “I’d think so. They’d have to for liability.”

“But you don’t know?” I was agitated as per usual when writing. Obviously I was thinking about my book plot.

“Not a 100%.”

I frowned. “Should I call a hotel and ask?”

Wizard finally looked up and smirked at me. “Absolutely you should. Let me get the phone for you. Do it now.”

“Haha.” I turned off the TV and stomped back to my computer. “Never mind, I’ll just go blow something up. I really need to blow something up.”

“Can you say that again, I wasn’t recording.” He called after me and laughed.

And that’s why I’m not talking to Wizard anymore. Well at least I wasn’t up until he brought me a glass of wine at my computer and then helped me cook dinner :-)

So it’s Wednesday Worthy. I did my best, but you know, I was distracted.

So the question is–would you let him save you from drowning? How about give you mouth-to-mouth?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that show. I like The Spring Baking Challenge. Some of the things they bake… YUM. The only thing that saves me is I am way too lazy to make all those scrumptious treats.

You and Wizard… LOL. I’m with him on the evacuation thing, but definitely not with him on encouraging you to call and ask. Shame shame, naughty Wizard. ;o)

He’s pretty to look at, but can he swim? My only requirement for being saved is competence. He could look like Quasimodo as long as he saves my life when I’m in trouble.

Okay…bomb threats. Depends on the threat. If someone calls a hotel and says, “I put a bomb in the hotel set to blow at 3 o’clock unless you pay me 3 million dollars,” the hotel will call the police, the bomb squad will appear, and they’ll start doing a search. Yay for bomb-sniffing dogs. They might close off the hotel but likely wouldn’t start evacuations unless something was found.

Next scenario: Somebody finds a box/backpack/suitcase that looks suspicious. Hotel security would clear the area, cops would be called, bomb squad would check it out and remove it, if possible. If not, yeah, they’d evacuate the hotel.

And…another scenario, which if you’re talking terrorists…No warning. Most likely a truck bomb and there’d be nothing to do except pick up the pieces after it’s exploded.

Why yes, my brain is in a dark place. I just tried to kill my hero. I may have. *bwahahahaha*

And yes, our candidate could save me. Carry me off. Give me mouth-to-mouth. I’d even shower and brush my teeth for him. *nods* Short deadlines? Yeah, I have them! 8-O

B.E., What I love about Unique Sweets is they go to bakeries all over the U.S. and find delights. They usually show some detail on how to make it too, which often gives me ideas on fun things to try when I have some down time. Can you tell I enjoy the show, LOL!

Wizard is naughty :-) I wouldn’t have called, of course, but he was amusing himself at my expense.

Yeah I’m with you, I wouldn’t care of notice what someone saving my life looked like. On the other hand, I did notice how cute the paramedics were who came when a doctor called them for my mom once. But she wasn’t in serious distress so I had time to observe…and I have no idea where I was going with this, LOL! Oh well, have a great day!

Silver, LOLOL!! Thank you! Actually I may use one of those scenarios a bit later to create a distraction I will need. That would really work. So again, thank you! Yesterday I was just being random because this part of the book just feels like delivering information and boring. I’ll fix that later.

I know your heroes, he won’t die, he’s too stubborn  And…he’ll probably have the last laugh, just saying…

Hope you get a chance to shower and attend to dental hygiene, on the other hand, it sounds like your characters need you right now more than your tooth brush does :-)

I’ve never heard of that show but it sounds like I could gain weight watching ;).

Wizard is too much. Sure, call the hotel :). He’s really good at lightening up the tension for you. Still, it’s a good thing he brought you wine.

    Yes, he is worthy ;).

    Have a great evening!

Viki, it’s a fun show to watch! I can indulge with my eyes and not gain weight :-)

Wizard is good at making me laugh…usually.

Glad you like the candidate today! Hope you have a great night!
