Friday Five

Another week just zoomed by! So lets play Friday Five–I’ll tell you all five random things about my week:

  1. The Baby Bargain is on sale for 99¢! I’m really happy to see that Entangled put it on sale, and it’s really taking off. Last night, it even got this coveted Best Seller tag on Amazon (see cover on the left with bright orange #1 Best Seller below it):Screenshot 2016-08-11 18.05.42
  2. I miss Bailey. This isn’t a surprise, and we’re all doing fine, but we sure miss that little guy! It’s getting much easier to talk about him now and reminisce about all our special memories with him. Wizard misses him too and made a huge folder of all our pictures. It’s a big folder, LOL! I shared the file with CPA Boy, who looked at them all and emailed me with, “He was very happy!  Gee you and Dad spoiled him in a lot of those pictures!” That made me laugh :-) Here’s one of my last pictures of our Bailey kicking back in the sun:Bailey in the sun 3 16
  3. My book, Savaged Dreams!! Guys I getting into it again! This revision is so far behind, but I’m working my butt off now. It’s never goes as fast as I want because I’m trying to make it the best I can, and I’m never, ever satisfied. I’m just about 2/3s into the revision, going through the usual obsession and worry, never sure if I’m hitting or missing the mark, but it feels so good to be back in the groove!
  4. The novella Savaged Surrender is waiting for revisions and I’m have a time crunch on that. So…pressure…but again, at least I want to write so it’s all good!
  5. Wizard and I went to see the movie BAD MOMS yesterday. It’s totally bad in the most hilarious way–if you like humor that is often crude with dose of exaggerated truth, then I recommend the movie. Both of us laughed and had a good time.

Okay that’s my Friday Five, now it’s your turn! Tell me any five random things you feel like sharing. I want to hear!

Yay for Baby Bargain! And Savaged Dreams! And having fun at the movies! You’ll get back to Savaged Surrender soon.

It does get easier. But it takes a while. Look through all the pictures and try to remember him with laughter and smiles. :hugs:

    1) I’m over 50% done with Up Wish Creek, and I wrote my editor to tell her I wasn’t going to make my self-imposed deadline of Wednesday. She was totally cool and said as long as I get it to her by the 15th, she can get it back to me by the 30th. So it’ll all good.

    2) The deer have been bringing their fawns by on a regular basis. The raccoon mamas are bringing their babies, too. Last night at dusk, fawn and raccoon together. It was so cute.

    3) I gave Kira a bath. She’s always been my good bather, but this time she was the best – investigating the water instead of hiding from it. I guess old cats can change. =o)

    4) We’re getting a break from the hot weather starting tomorrow. I can’t wait to go fishing.

    5) We’ve been having a massive spider outbreak here this year. Orb weavers building huge circular webs everywhere. Thus, before I go anywhere outside, I need to go through some awesome ninja moves with the broom to make sure I’m not walking through a web. It’s probably pretty amusing to watch, which makes me glad we live where no one can see me. LOL

Congrats on the awesome book news! And B.E. is right. Time does ease the ache and lets the smiles come easier with the happy memories. Five things, huh?

    1. The book news I received this week was discombobulating. I’m revising the Kindle World I’m doing for Roxanne St. Claire’s Barefoot Bay and changing the story somewhat. I pulled the story for another KW (October release) and will have to revise the substitute story. Plus, I have a proposal. All are due within the next 2 1/2 weeks. Well…two of them definitely. The 3rd by Sept. 5th.

    2. Like B.E., there’s a change in the weather coming. Heat dome is breaking and we should have cooler (relatively speaking) temps through the rest of the month. Fingers crossed.

    3. I had to buy a new hummingbird feeder. I hadn’t really noticed any of the flitters hanging around but for 3 days in a row, I’ve glimpsed a little female taking a break in the late afternoon. She’s sweet.

    4. I am in love with the Italian men’s water polo team. OMG! I caught them around the pool during one of their Olympic televised matches and drooled! Can’t find good pics though. :(

    5. I made street tacos–with fresh cilantro and lime–the other night for dinner. They. Were. AWESOME! Also did an “easy” cheesy jalapeno rice as a side. Will definitely fix them again.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

B.E., thanks, it does get easier.

I’m jealous of the deer and raccoon babies must be so amazing to see! I love that!

LOL on the Ninja Web Destroyer image! I can totally pictures that!

    Enjoy the cooler weekend weekend!

Silver, hang in there on the book news. It does sound a tad overwhelming, but you’ll get through it.

I saw one picture in my FB feed of the team, and yep, they are hot :-)

OMG now I want those street tacos! I’m craving them in a bad way.

Have a great (and productive) weekend!

Excellent book news :). When I saw the Baby Bargain tied to Entangled yesterday I was thrilled for you and then Amazon just made it even better :).

Love the photo of Bailey. It does get easier to revisit all the wonderful memories but it takes time too. I’m happy you are all healing. CPA boy isn’t quite right. Bailey wasn’t spoiled by you and Wizard :), he was loved to the max :). From the photos you have shared he was a very happy pup.

Both hubs and I are nursing aches and last night he had his infra red light on his neck and I was soaking my ankle in a slat bath when he says to me, “Look into the future and how do you see us in tens years when I’m 74 and you’re 64 if we’re this bad now?” My response was, “Rich! We’re going to invest in drug companies and reap the rewards of Obsessive Exercisers treating their injuries.” That’s my get rich plan.

It’s supposed to finally cool down around here Sunday too. Seriously can’t wait. These mid 90’s with super high humidity have got to go.

I hope you have a great weekend!

Viki, oh no you hurt your ankle on top of hubby’s injuries? I’m so sorry! By the way, Wizard and I have had a very similar conversation. Exercising has so many benefits, but it has a downside too–injuries and wear and tear build up over time, then in later years, some of them come back to haunt us.

I’ll invest in the drug companies with you! Much better odds than the lottery :-)

I agree with you on CPA Boy and Bailey, LOL!

Hope you get the much needed break in the heat and humidity, heal quickly and enjoy your weekend!
