Weekend Roundup

So how did you do with the time change? A few of you are in states that have the good sense to NOT MESS WITH TIME (I’m looking you, Arizona). So Saturday afternoon, I reset all my clocks, and dang, I was proud. I was ahead of schedule!

Then Wizard ruined it. “Witch,” he called out from upstairs, “Did you reset your clocks?”

Ha! Usually Wizard is the one who does all this, so I happily shouted out, “Yes I did! Even my watches!”

He came down the stairs and says, “You set them all ahead an hour. It’s Fall Back, not Spring Ahead.”

And sure enough, he was right. I’m rolling my eyes so hard as I type this, I’m giving myself a headache. How is it I can keep an entire Wing Slayer Hunter world in my brain, but I can’t figure out how to set the clocks back an hour for the time change???

I’m writing this before we go to dinner for our anniversary, but I’m assuming it’ll be really good and we’ll have a great time.

How was your weekend?

P.S. I may not be able to answer comments until later in the day.

I use the saying “spring forward, fall back” to remember the time change direction. It usually works for me because spring back just doesn’t flow as well.

Ugh. Time change. Bleh. I always wait until the next morning to change the clocks. I wake up, do my morning things, and the computer tells me what time it really is right about the time I take my first sip of coffee. That’s about the only part of this whole weird thing that goes smoothly.

I hope you did have a really great time for your anniversary!

Another quiet weekend here. I didn’t write nearly as many words as I had planned, but I’m okay with that. Hubs and I spent yesterday morning at the lake, which was awesome. We didn’t catch anything worth keeping, but it was a gorgeous morning, and I love spending time with Hubs, so it’s all good. =o)

Happy Anniversary! Pretty sure y’all had an awesome time. :D

I hate DST, not matter which direction it goes. There’s no reason to mess with time, unless you’re an author writing a time travel. Just sayin’!!!!

We had an earthquake. No damage here but at the epicenter, not pretty. We have friends with some damage. :-? I did another revision on the opening of RDR#6. Crossing fingers this one is accepted. Final edits and formatting today on a Kindle World novella releasing on the 22nd. And then more new words. Hopefully.

I hope you enjoyed your anniversary dinner. You and Wizard looked very nice.

You are too funny with the clocks. I had a problem this time. My bedroom clock never set on it’s own so I set it back before bed. As the night went on and on and on (me awake and trying to stay in bed) I finally got up and read another clock and I was two hours back. For the first time in 10 yrs my bedroom clock adjusted so that’s why time dragged. My poor cat was wondering if I was ever going to get up and play with him – poor baby.

Have a really nice afternoon :)!

Nicole, I do the same. I have not idea why I set all the clocks forward :-) Hope you’re having a great Monday!

B.E., I should try that when the time changes! Although this was a first for me. I have no idea what I was thinking.

    We had fun, thanks!

You’re morning on the lake sounds wonderful and relaxing. You can make up for lost words this week :-)

Silver, I just saw that 5.0 earthquake in your area on the news at lunch today. Whew that’s pretty big. Glad you’re fine, but so sorry your friends had damage.

Crossing my fingers for your revised opening!

It’s getting closer release day for next Kindle World novella!

Viki, thanks, we had a fantastic dinner.

Well that’s one for the books. So odd that our alarm changed this time after all these years. But I can so empathize with you trying to stay in bed, I’ve done that so many times, but I really try when we change time to readjust my body clock.

Hope your cat got extra treats to make up for missing out on some play time. It sounds like mornings is your special time with him.

    Have a great Monday!
