Weekend Roundup

Anyone else eat too much?? Or was it just me? I’m still eating too much. But Thanksgiving was wonderful. Special K cooked her first ever T-Day dinner and it turned out awesome. We had four dogs there with us:

This is Smart Cookie waiting for the party to start.

This is Corky after a big meal and too much playing.

This is Max looking for me. He hung out with me most of Thanksgiving, and after I left, he missed me :-)

This is Jett waiting to go to the party! He was so excited to play with his cousins, Cookie, Corky and Max. They had a blast together. FYI, Jett is getting huge!

The only downside is Wizard’s back (he has a severely herniated disc). It’s been a rough few days for him but he just keeps dealing with it the best he can. Friday we had plans to go to lunch with friends visiting from out-of-state. Wizard was going to power through that for me (it’s more my friends) but I finally strongly suggested he stay home. Surprisingly, he agreed (which is why I know he hurt more than he was admitting) and he slept for a few hours. My friend’s husband ended up doing the same thing–so just us girls got together and had fun. It was great to see her and made me wish all over again she still lived here. Although we keep in touch all the time online which I’m thankful for.

By last night, Wizard was feeling better. All the rest has dialed his pain back to a more tolerable level.

I worked a lot this weekend too. I’m going through my usual chapter one struggle on Savaged Vows and planning my release schedule for 2017. I’m going to finally re-released two of my favorite books. One is You Give Love A Good Name, which is a novella from the Sun, Sand and Sex Anthology I was in. Out of all my books, that one was the most fun to write! And the other book is Sex on the Beach Book Club. So I’m getting those ready around frantically working on Savaged Vows. It’s going to be an exciting year if I can stay on track!

So how was your Thanksgiving and your weekend?

    Puppies!

Ahem, okay, now that is out of the way… I’m so glad you had a nice weekend. Poor Wizard. Better back vibes are on their way. And YAY for more books!

Yeah, I ate a lot this long weekend. Loads of turkey, stuffing, etc. Time for a couple hamburgers, ya know? Other than that, I fished a little and read a little, and I finished the first draft of Natural Causes. It’s an ugly SOB, but it’s done. Editing to begin next month. Time to work on something else for a while, I think.

JETT! Look at those feet! And Cookie, Corky and Max are looking too cute for words!

I’m tired. Really tired. I have three days to finish this book, edit, and revise. Did I mention I’m tired? I want to crawl back into bed and pretend I don’t write for a living. Ah, well.

We ate too much, enjoyed time with family, but I was messed up on my days because of the long weekend.

Okay, break time over. Back to work.

B.E., the puppies were the center of attention on T-Day, LOL.

Thanks for the better back vibes. He’s moving better today so that’s something.

CONGRATS on finishing Natural Causes!! I’m guessing it’s the first draft but that’s always the hardest. That’s a huge achievement every single time! Hope you take a break today :-)

Silver, Jett’s growing unbelievably fast! I can’t even lift him anymore. He was a joy. Cookie bossed all the dogs around which was pretty funny. She’s a small but mighty girl :-)

I’m so sorry you’re exhausted. I know that feeling, and it’s hard to climb out of the muddle. I also get the frustration of always paying the price for taking time off for family and holidays. Hope you can finish the book soon and get some rest!

I feel so bad for Wizard. It’s a good thing he stayed home and rested. As you fully know pain can take a lot out of you. That surgery date can’t get here soon enough.

Sounds like you all had a lovely dinner on Thanksgiving and the pups look SO cute. I just love those photos.

We had a nice dinner on Thursday with turkey and the fixings and Friday the entire family was here for a ham dinner. My heaven did it get loud. I always thought the middle one was loud like my brother but it’s the eldest that can be heard on the North Pole ;). After two big dinners and all the work I crashed.

Hubs is taking me to Key Biscayne tomorrow for a few days. It’s to celebrate our anniversary from the beginning of the month ;).

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Viki, thanks on Wizard. He’s doing better today, but you’re so right, it’s just exhausting to deal with constant pain and the frustration of limitations. Today is a good day though so that’s a nice break.

LOL on the loudness! Whenever my boys are together it’s loud too :-) You deserved to crash after making two dinners! How was your pie?

Happy Anniversary and hope you both have a lovely time in Key Biscayne!!
