Weekend Roundup

I finished the revisions for Savaged Vows and sent them off to my editor on Sunday. I ‘m happy about that! After that, we had my sister (Biker Witch) and her husband out. We ordered food for dinner because I was too lazy to cook, but I made an apple pie for dessert so I don’t totally suck as a hostess :-)

The only downside of the weekend is my shoulder/arm thing isn’t getting better. For a little while it was improving, then it got worse. In fact Sunday night I was trying to write a longer blog about revisions and craft, but my shoulder/arm refused to cooperate and I deleted it in frustration. I may have to admit defeat and go to the doctor. He’ll tell me to rest it, I’ll tell him I took all of Sunday afternoon off and I don’t understand why that’s not enough rest.

Then I’ll get THAT LOOK. You know, the one that says I can’t fix stupid.

Yeah. That look.

On the other hand, it might clear up if I keep ignoring it. :-)

So how was your weekend?

LOL, yeah, I’m a big proponent of ‘if I ignore it, it will go away’ with regard to ouchies. For me, it usually works. If it doesn’t, I take an Aleve and/or rub some Aspercreme on it. But for me, it’s usually a sign of a change in the weather, so it does go away eventually.

Yay for finishing those revisions! I knew you could do it!

Well, the antibiotics are working on Kira, so it was a pretty good weekend. I didn’t get a lick of work done, though. Yesterday, I drove around taking pictures of the drastic water level rise at the lake. Up twelve feet for the month of April (five feet since Thursday), which really changes the landscape of my fishing spots. All my good sitting spots are underwater now. Time to find new sitting spots, I guess.

Doing the happy dance for you, Jen! At least on the revisions and fun times with the Bikers. Sorry about the arm and shoulder. LG is fighting injury in the same area, but his came from a fall. :-|

It might be time to check the doctor–hopefully it’s not related to the RA. And pie! Now I want some.

B.E., I’ve been using the patches and they help, but they aren’t solving the underlying problem. I probably need to make sure it’s not the joint (from my RA) or I’d keep ignoring it.

Thanks on the revision. Right now I’m happy to not see the book for a few days and catch up on other life things.

Great news on Kira! Bladder infections can get really ugly. Happy that she’s on the mend.

Boy you guys have had a lot of rain! Hoping you find a new and improved fishing spot now that your old ones are under water.

    Silver thanks!!

Hope LG is okay and heals quickly. And yeah, I know I should go to doc. I’ll call sometime today and they’ll probably get me in in 2018 or 19. I’m only half-kidding.

    Happy Monday!

Biker Witch, it was fun having you guys out! Really glad you guys liked the pie. I still think you’re using secret magic to conjure up boysenberry pie when I can’t find the berries or a bakery that makes them within driving range :-)

First, great news on the book. Knew you’d get it off to the editor on time :).

Glad you were able to have some downtime with Biker Witch and hubby. Love the idea of ordering in food. Makes for a more relaxed get together. The pie sounds yummy :).

Sounds like your shoulder/arm is getting like mine. Note: Ignoring doesn’t work :(. My doctor has no idea what is wrong with mine or what to do for it. Certain activities really kill me yet working out on the ellipse doesn’t. Nothing makes sense. I took time off, soaked, iced, medicated and nothing has helped. I sure hope you have better success than I have had and that yours heals.
Do typing and chopping really cause it to flare up?

I hope you have a good afternoon :).

Viki thanks on the book! And it was great to have down time with Biker Witch & hubby yesterday.

I suspect either frozen shoulder or tendonitis on mine. Like you, I can do the elliptical. Typing bugs it, but works is using the mouse. Chopping too. I think yours is worse though.

Hope you’re having a great Monday!

I agree Jenn, the mouse is the worst :(. Driving is bad too. Let me know if you find a way to kill the pain.

It’s a nice afternoon here which makes up for the chilly wet morning ;). I hope you’re having a nice day :).
