Happy Friday Five
Hope everyone had a great week! Okay let’s do our Friday Five, which is a list of five random things about our week.
- Savaged Vows, book 2 in the Savaged Illusions Trilogy went off to my copy editor yesterday! It feels like a real accomplishment to me. For those keep score, this book has two editors and four rounds of edits (same with Savaged Dreams). I’ve cut 4200 (almost 17 manuscript pages) words from the first draft to the final one that is something I’m very happy about. Savaged Vows will be up for pre-order in a couple of weeks.
- My final physical therapy appointment on Wednesday didn’t go as well. I was “hot” with a pretty significant flare of swelling and nerve pain. They are sending an evaluation to my doctor asking for “diagnostics” which is an x-ray and maybe an MRI. I’m disappointed in that I worked hard in PT, and did all the exercises at home–the only exception was the day of my colonoscopy. But we can’t all have the easy solution.
- Tonight (Thursday as I’m writing this) I plan on having coffee ice cream, and I’ll probably put chocolate syrup on it. I love coffee ice cream!
- I have bright blue fingernails.
- I think every time I have a new idea, someone should slap me. Wizard instantly volunteered for the job but I told him no. He was sad. (I’m teasing people, please don’t take this as anything more than a joke. Wizard and I have a twisted sense of humor, but neither of us is violent.)

When two people are as loving and awesome together as you two are, jokes like that are fun – because they’re so silly ;o). Yay for getting SV off to the editor! Bummer about the PT.
1) I haven’t painted my nails in years. The last time I used nail polish was to repaint an old fishing lure.
2) I had chocolate cake and peanut butter ice cream yesterday.
3) It’s pouring rain here again. Bleh.
4) I told Hubs I wanted a puppy for my birthday yesterday, but only for like two hours, so I could play with it and love it, and then send it home for someone else to clean up after it and raise it.
5) I saw two bald eagles yesterday, which is really cool because I thought all of them had already headed north for the warm months.

Anyone who knows you two–or has read your blog for any length of time understands the warped humor! Yay SV progress! Total bummer about the PT. Hope the doc gets it figured out.
My five…
1. We’ve managed to dodge the bullet with this round of severe weather. *knocks wood*
2. Doing my best to get NIGHT FIRE finished and to my editor for a possible release the end of the month. Time’s running out though.
3. Regionals, the super regionals, start today for college softball. Yay!
4. Got my proposal revisions back on RDR#8. Back to the drawing board.
5. RWA chapter meeting tomorrow. I want to hear the speaker, Sara Orwig. Should be fun. I should be working but…

Man I feel for your with your shoulder. I know where you are and it sucks.
Love those blue nails. Haven’t painted mine in years. My toes another story. Always bright pink in the warmer months :).

I love coffee ice cream with hot fudge. Now you have me wanting to go to the store ;).
Wizard is a hoot :)!
1. Bought a SHARK hoping that it would help with the vacuuming instead of the Dyson. It’s going to take some getting used to since it’s not as wide it takes much longer to get the job done.
2. We’re having the guys (hubs and youngest) birthday dinner this weekend. I love this place we’re going to because it is right on the lake and has a view to die for.
3. I have to re-do my cologuard test :(. It got messed up in the lab. They’re paying to re-do everything.
4. May see Pee Wee tomorrow. His mom and dad are going to Detroit but will be back late night.
5. To B.E.’s comment on the bald eagles. We have a mating pair in our woods. We’ve had them for 5 or 6 years. Hubs was buzzed by one thus seeing one for the first time yesterday. The boys and I have seen them for years :).

And OMG, I’ve ween seeing the the tornados and such in your state. I’m glad you’re safe, but sorry for all those who were in the path.
Hope you can get NIGHT FIRE edited and released. And find time to watch the college softball regionals.
I’m hoping it’s tweaks and not full revision on your proposal.
Go to your RWA meeting! You need to get out and have some fun!

Viki, I rarely paint my fingernails either. This time I got gel, otherwise it’s useless. I like pink toes
And I have to say it’s weird that I started having arm/shoulder problems after you did. However, it’s possible mine could be related to my RA. I’m seeing GP, not my RA doc. We’ll see what happens.
Hope the Shark works. When did vacuuming get so hard for us? It’s frustrating.
Even with them paying, redoing that test is a pain. Hope the results come back showing no problems.

Eagles mate exclusively? If I knew that, I’d forgotten. It’s really cool that you see the same pair every years.
